Long Movies Are Overrated
How long is too long? Can a lengthy runtime actually hold a film back from being the best version of itself? Come to think of it, what exactly qualifies as “CINEMA”?
Well, let’s try to find out…

Reflections In The Last Of Us Part II
มุมมอง 3.5K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Upon release, The Last Of Us Part II quickly became one of the most controversial video games in recent history. While this may boil down to a few "unpopular" decisions made within the story, I argue all of this was by design. This game offers a reflection to those who play it, forcing us all to take a look at ourselves from a different perspective. #thelastofus #tlou #thelastofuspart2 #tlou2 #...
How To End A Series | Breaking Bad vs The Walking Dead
มุมมอง 1.2M10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Breaking Bad is recognized by many as one of the greatest television shows of all time. The Walking Dead, on the other hand, has steadily faded from the limelight since its explosive debut in 2010. So why have these two seemingly similar shows diverged so much during their runs on air? This video essay analyzes how Breaking Bad successfully managed to end on a high and why The Walking Dead fail...

Supernatural is another good example, after season 8 or 9, I started to feel like the quality of that show was starting to go downhill, It wasn’t until season 14 and 15 I really felt like the show was starting to drag. That being said unlike The Walking Dead, I feel supernatural actually has a satisfying and proper ending. The last episode felt less like a season finale, and more like a 45 minute goodbye to the characters that we’ve grown to love for the past 15 seasons. And is to this day, probably one of my favorite TV endings.

you can't compare these two. Breaking Bad is just a masterpiece, the ending is final and feels like it. The Walking Dead is A not realistic and B should have ended after the first season. Surviving a zombie apocalypse is super easy: assuming they are just brain dead humans, like in the Walking Dead, you only need to wait. All but a few zombies will die bc of biology. The ones trapped in building will die of thirst and hunger. The ones outside will die too after a while they can't hunt or use agriculture, they could gather but that can't sustain them for long. Disease would wipe out a lot bc they are completely unsanitary. We only survive bc we have working brains. If the the dead would rot away the whole thing would be over in about 20 Days, well depending on the weather. In the amazons the zombies wouldn't last 10 days, in the cold it could take months or years like in Siberia. Go somewhere warm and enjoy the end of the world.

Walking Dead was tyring to follow a graphic novell, Breaking Bad didnt. The later tried to tell its own story, the first tried to make a tv-show out of graphic novell. Btw, Rick was killed in the original by the son of the leader of the commonwealth.

TWD had a formula that worked. A new human bad guy/group a new home for the good guys. Good guys kill the bad guys, zombies always popping up at the worst times. I stopped watching when the bad guy lasted for multiple seasons.

The Walking Dead is my favorite show ever but I think that it would have been one of the best TV series ever made if they have ended it in season 5 episode 11 "The Distance" when the group finally arrives to Alexandria and Rick hears the kids playing inside the walls. The whole point of Rick's journey was to bring his people to a safe place to live, I think Alexandria being that place would have been the best way to put an end to it, not showing us anything, just Aaron opening the gates to the group and ending with everyone going inside.

One of The walking deads biggest flaws was the lack of a cohesive goal besides simply surviving. The entire show changed when Eugene revealed that he had lied about needing to get to Washington DC to help cure the outbreak. So if you have myself and I'm sure many other people lost interest in the show around that time or soon afterwards. Moving from place to place, setting up for a 3/4 of a season and then being forced out, wandering around for half a season and then establishing a permanent settlement only to be forced out again is something you can only watch so many times before it gets boring and lame.

Breaking bad has one big flaw: They had to jam in a side plot about “nazis” because the juu could not allow for a popular show to stand, without subverting it to hate on White people. “Neo nazis” were as out of place in this show, as a manga character in Batman returns. These creatures really do ruin everything, or they try

This video randomly came across my feed today. I'm a good bit older than you, from what I can tell, and I grew up on the great zombie and horror movies. I remember being a kid in the 80s and one of the very first movies I ever got for Christmas was a VHS copy of the original Night of the Living Dead. It scared me a little, but it totally captured my imagination. Over the years, I watched everything I could get in the genre. When the first commercial for The Walking Dead aired, months before it came out, I set reminders on everything I had. I'd never heard of the comic or the compilation books... but OMG this was gonna be good! I'd gotten into Lost, Dexter, and Breaking Bad, all around 2009, and I can remember setting up my entire Sunday night routine for nothing but watching those last 2 and TWD, plus The Talking Dead. Having said that, I wish you had done a 3-way comparison here with Dexter thrown in, too. Where Breaking Bad went out on its own terms, and The Walking Dead refused to die, Dexter just... **** the bed. I don't have to explain it; it's well-documented now. Because of my viewing habits from back then, though, those 3 shows will always be connected. I finished off Dexter, and I finished off Breaking Bad, but I've never finished TWD. I was out the episode after Rick left, and I never went back. I've seen clips and read the ending, but this show... Rick was the heart and soul, and when he left, the show died for me.

TWD ended for me when they fucking killed Beth Greene for shock value because they need something for the mid season finale to get people talking for 5B. Her and especially Daryl’s part in her arc should have ended with her walking away alive and found. Except they fucked that all up and to this day I have never forgiven Scout Gimple for that shit.

I got alternately hooked and walked away from walking dead several times until Glenn’s actual death. The way that went down was the final “fuck you” to the fans and I never gave another second to walking dead. Also, I hated Carl more than anyone or anything else in the series. Shit character, shit actor, and should have been gone during season 3. The show would have been all the better for it.

Prison Break is another perfect example of overstaying your welcome and refusing to end when its best. The first 2 seasons are the most entertaining pieces of media I've ever enjoyed, yet afterwards it pulled off unnecessary scenarios, desperate plottwists, annoying characters and an overall frustrating experience that is only a shadow of its former self

The Walking Dead is not over. It's silly to pretend like it's over. One of the shows that is called "the walking dead" ran for 11 seasons and stopped, that doesn't mean that "The Walking Dead" is over. The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are both shows that are currently running as of the date of this Internet Posting (year 2024). It didn't end, you're mistaken. So if you want to give yourself the easiest job in the entire world which is to pick the best ending between a show that ended and a franchise that is not over, yeah it's pretty obvious. Edit: I noticed you called Breaking Bad a "master class" in something. You need to stop saying that because master classes are only 30 minutes long so there's no way a multi-season series of a TV program could be analogous to a "master class." It's more like the TV series is the actual big work of art and the master class is this dopey youtube video which offers a brief take-away.
