Bypassing book publishers is the worst thing she has done. The book is full of text mistakes and the pictures are so amateurishly put in there. Many literally have taylor not visible at all in the spine of the book.

Everybody wins except for mid-list and new authors who suddenly don’t get any advances because all the money goes to celebrity books. Then they get no marketing budget and when that happens readers miss out on tons of wonderful books in exchange for another boring ghostwritten celebrity book. That’s not Taylor’s fault, but the publisher’s. Love Taylor and her business practices.

Its a coffe table book, more than a biography.

She's the music industry, and for a moment in time thanks to her movie, she made jaws drop in the Music industry, thats why now you see 'Guts tour Movie', and now she's after the publishing industry, and having the #2 non-fiction debut ever is truly phenomenal. She is *MOTHER* (btw no shade to Olivia <3)

Actually Fantasy author Brandon Sanderson did this in 2022 by offering some books via kickstarter and it became the largested backed kickstarter campaign at 41 mil. Since then a lot of bigger people have started looking at self publishing. Taylor is smart to be the first singer to do this

Yes we know already, its been reviewed and discussed a hundred times. TAYLOR is a TARGET stockholder...so why wouldn't she release it through Target? Reminder....she's also a business woman!!!!

Great research + exploration, thanks for this video. A side note comes to our minds: all starts would earn a lot more money if music would still sell physical as Cds or Vinyl. Taylor hit some heights in sales on that field too. But compared to before streaming or even to the 60s - 90s, that's before the internet, even her physical record sales are small compared to her level of fame and the size of her fanbase. In short: she and her team know that records don't sell because people use streaming which doesn't pay much to artists ( Taylor had her own battle with Apple and Spotify over this) - so her now selling everything else that has value apart from clothes merch or fragrances, like she does with this book and a film about each tour, is also the new income model for musicians in fame. Mini side not tho this side note: Every artists - so most other artists on the planet, who are in the lower 3 quarters of the pyramid, are basically poor compared to where they could be if people would still buy music on records. However, Taylor is of the most professional ones when it comes to generate revenue from multiple products aside the physical record of what she actually does, music. ( We do like her music btw).

Why does Taylor have such a huge skull?

She’s gross, she doesn’t care about the collateral damage to other artists or her fans and how her schemes impact the bigger picture of the capitalist side of all this. At this point she’s a brand and a business, artist third. Tayzon, or something better.

Her relationship with Target goes back further than Speak Now. There were Target exclusive editions of Taylor Swift (Deluxe), Fearless and Fearless: Platinum Edition. Those releases probably just didn't have the big ad campaigns the other ones did. She's had a Target exclusive edition of every album she has released in some form or another.

Wow, you really missed her points here. She had great sadness but mostly rage! Rage that she only allows herself to express through art, not life. You don’t get to say to her when she has to be done processing her grief and pain and rage - about childhood, men, career, betrayal. Just because you are uncomfortable listening to a rager doesn’t mean it is poor expression or poor art. You are limited in your ability to empathize with female, simmering, blistering, sugar hot rage. A lot of men try to control women by telling them to just get over it and she shouldn’t feel what she feels or express what she feels. Nobody overcomes global attacks of lying, shaming, blaming, betrayal, fake porn, canceling,etc. easily, quickly or silently. Don’t you get that Taylor went through a type of reputation rape, a mental social rape? Then a betrayal by a “father” for money. Just money, like being sold as a slave. Then whatever happened with two relationships of long standing (no one knows full truth about any of it) that she was hard processing. So go through all that and then say nothing or have people tell you to get over it in a certain length of time. See how you feel. She can write a hundred songs about understanding childhood bullies mixed with KK and YE adult bullies and she’ll always be mining a new face of the bully mountain. You also missed that these songs were mostly written and produced before new relationship and billionaire status. Lastly, if you were offended by 31 songs, then just buy first batch and ignore the second until you’re ready for them. It’s on you, not her that you couldn’t digest it all at once. She didn’t force you to listen to extra album. I obviously love this piece of art. And having lived through hell in my life I so appreciate TSwift’s beautiful, poetical expression. Too verbose! Says a man to a woman expressing pain and rage and overwhelming exhaustion. SMH 🤦‍♀️

Did i miss something? What's so special in publishing a simple photobook with almost no text? Kpop industry has been doing it for DECADES now, since mid 00s, monetizing literally every step of its artists. So no, swifties, that's bullshit, there's nothing_new_under_the_sun.
