These filters are replaced as part of Maintenance B, which should happen ever 2 years or 20k miles
Putting the rubber housing seal back on after putting in the filter was a damn difficult job. I would reconsider doing it again.
Thank you. Amazing content. Please make more for CLS63
What happened when you mix up the coil pack

I should add that to get the proper leverage on the filter door I put the seat at the far rear setting and my back was on the door sill with my head looking up at the filter door and the ability to use both hands. I'm 84 and even impressed myself.
I just carried this out and it is anything but a 30 minute job. When replacing the filter under the glove box and putting the door back on there is a real trick to getting it positioned so the rubber gasket falls in the grooved track. You will notice how it is resistant when pulling it off to remove the old filter. While holding it lower then the grooved track push hard to the left to get it under the track and hopefully it will go in at that end and align for the right side end to drop in. I noticed that yours wasn't properly in (the left end is very difficult to position) and you clipped it in positioned improperly allowing an air leak. Also, the plastic tray under the glove box has a plastic hook on it and is a bear to get position and takes a lot of wiggling. That large plastic tray comes out a lot easier than it goes back in
Nice video, but most stupid design by Mec, i hav drove many cars none of them like that, as AC Filter is a routine thing need to change regulaly, stupid Mec and no more for me again!
**FYI FOR THE CABIN AIR FILTER** You need to move the panel to the right A LOT. In the center right-ish, there is a strange plastic bar that hooks way up. That hook goes to the left. So you need to move the panel way right to un-hook it. It's a really odd figure. If you're unsure what plastic bar I'm talking about, it's the one where half of the rectangle at the bottom is cut open while the other half has the plastic bar that goes up. In this video, it has already been cut off. I ended up cutting off this plastic bar with a dremel so I'm not 100% sure if it can be un-hooked. If not, just cut the plastic bar off because you really don't need it for remounting... This plastic bar is impossible to figure out what is above and what direction to move the panel (unless you just try moving in every direction lol), so hope this helps. I saw some comments about this hook but no one mentioned which direction to move the panel.
What s happen if we never replace this filter?
Your cabin air is so much dirty
@@m2sce OK but no problem for air conditioned?
Cabin filter is so difficult to change. I don’t know why they did like this
Why would mercedes make the interior filter so difficult to access? 😡😡😡😡😡
Thanks for the video. Just to add some information, you don't need to pull the carpet back to slide the filter housing cover and filter out on the right hand drive model.
Ummm 🤔 drivers side is 3 times as difficult to remove, harness has zero give even with bracket removed and ties cut.
Drivers side sucks hard for sure.
I did it......wow😮 I can't believe it, it was so hard Why exactly?
Right on. I’ll be doing mine with spark plugs and new injectors on my 10’ I pray to god my head bolts are updated 😅 if not, I’ll be getting some slk black series buckets. I plan to one day get the vrp supercharger.
Great video Eyad!
I pulled way to hard and broken the plastic PC from under dash what a terrible design unreal
Заебись
Very complicated and stupid design
fantastic video! Do you need to use any rtv or is the gasket fine by itself? And are you required to replace the valve cover bolts?
Gasket by itself. No RTV...
You can reuse the bolts. Don't over torque!
Easy!?!?!?!?
New plaque looks too new
Excellent Thanks. Larry Hernandez
Excellent Thanks . Larry Hernandez
Do you change the oil your self? I heard that you can't use standard wraps?
I have the same engine builder (A. Kausler?) Have you ever tried to look the builder up?
That’s the builders name in the video? Cause I have the same plaque but I can’t understand the name
What's up with this horrible music !!! Terrible
After saw your videos, I decided to go to mercedes service centre.
How can I find the part number for my plaque
👍👏👏👏
Thank you for the video this is today’s project on my CL 63 , Just got all the parts and thanks again for the video buddy
20nm is actually about 14ft-lb
You are correct. According to my digital torque wrench its exactly 14.75 ft/lbs
Your video helped me a lot. I changed mine yesterday and I hate it :D Since my car is in a underground garage where I don't have internet, I had to do a break to go to my flat and re-watch your video again 😂
super helpful thanks !
You forgot to replace the baffle on the head 4 on each head a common mistaken oil will leak from the new valve gasket. 15 bucks each.

Hello everyone, I live in Newark,NJ and I have a 2008 s63 amg and I’m having this problem (Valve cover gasket oil leak) how much should a mechanic charge me? I don’t want to get rape :/
Right around $600 to 1k USD for this job
@@eyadm147 thanks you for your time and any good scanner for this car?
Hi Eyad, smoke it coming out of the passenger side (uk) and smells like burning oil. i have ordered the gasket for it hopefully fixing the issue. car has 40k miles on it. do you know if this is a common problem, worried after reading some forms it can potentially be the rocker cover it self? also thanks for the video!
Yes it's common, most likely the valve cover gaskets
