What's that bed cover? Looks really cool.
Hey mate it's a Maxliner Venture Canopy. If you check the 7,000km review on the raptor there is a section about it
Gave up. Too much yap not on advertised subject.
It's all relative mate, method to the madness.
Thank you for the referral. Curious as to why you want to tow nose-down? Nice to see warning about drop hitches which are over-used, but the extra downforce isn't that much. There is however extra stress on the hitch itself, so drop hitches should be avoided if possible.
Hey Robert (big fan) and thanks so much for tuning in! When I say nose down, I mean ever so slightly. In my experience towing empty trailers that will later be filled with building material and or camping equipment, as you'd be well aware, additional weight will cause the springs to settle/sag. With a cage trailer having the nose slightly down whilst empty will prevent the trailer from being 'nose up' when adding payload into it. Even with correct loading. This is of course my personal opinion through experience over the decades of loading heavy things into empty things. This obviously changes when the trailer weighty is constant/static like say a caravan. Do you have any feedback regarding the orientation of the gate? In your opinion, are the hooks installed correctly or should I rotate them 180deg? Eddie
2025 new Model Y is coming ... new Interior light and faster
I wouldn't mind a 2.9 sec Y
That's awesome!! We are super happy with ours, probably would upgrade to the new one if there's significant changes!
@@sharpie132These things are weapons as it is, imagine a sub 3 sec daily/family car 🤤
@Eddie_Turbo I want it please mr musk 🙏 and 350 range
Yep, 100% for w ⚓️ s
Haha 😂
I work in civil construction and most civil workers esp operators love those hooks instead of shackles. Although these days everyone is starting to use them its becoming a look at me im kool factor🤭🤦
Haha 100%! Hence the video thumbnail! Which way do you guys orientate the hook? The way I did or facing in?
Tf are you doing with the screen???
Watch the full video for the story! Basically one of my kids accidentally threw a toy car at the screen!
Hello mate Ive got a 2023 Ranger Raptor - I cannot for the life of me find this Tow/Haul mode?? Everything but this mode is available, do you need to activate it?
Hey mate, I do speak about how and who to speak to during the second half of the video from memory. Check that out and the contact details about the bloke in the description 👍👍
@Eddie_Turbo Thanks for your quick response 👍 I've subbed and look forward to future videos. Just purchased a pop-up camper planning on some adventures with the wife & kids while they are young, hence the quick TH-cam / Google searching for tips 🤣 Maybe I'll cruse around in sports mode for now as I find it sluggish at times.
How awesome mate!! Yeah honestly sports mode with: steering comfort, exhaust on quiet (good for long drives) and suspension in normal is pretty good for towing!!
They are like a set of dog nuts hanging
Hahaha 100% this is what I see all the time! I just hook them together when not towing so they don't swing so much!
05:48 what has a building inspector got to do with anything? Also, you forgot the other issue with having the ball a long way back from the receiver, you are adding a lot more torsional load to the towbar.
Ahh the building inspector is the "tiktok inspector" which always says "non compliant"... Yes definitely hence why I mentioned always go the closest hole but I will elaborate next time!
Great video, just wondering if the Kings folding solar panels are compatible with a Bluetti charging station? I have the Bluetti AC 180. Cheers
Yes absolutely, just make sure the voltage and wattage of the panel are within the ac180 specs. You'll also need a mc4 to Anderson adaptor.
Ya mates a dawg and should fix it for you 😅
100P haha
Incase you were googling McHitch and wondering why it looks different, I kept referring to the 'Mister hitches' as McHitch which another hitch I have (not pictured). 🤦🏽
There's definitely a correct way to orient the hook try and tell a dogger or rigger that it doesn't matter and watch their head explode. I'm pretty sure your way is correct but if you want to be certain i'd ask a rigger. Taken from the link below "Facing inwards towards the load is what can create “tip loading”. The hooks can elongate well below their Working Load Limit (WLL)." www.doggingandrigging.nsw.gov.au/dogging-and-rigging-guide/lifting-equipment/alloy-lifting-chain/best-practice-when-using-slings
Thanks for the vid. So it hasn’t had a full GVM upgrade, just the coils? I’m struggling to find a full GVM upgrade for the next gen raptor
No worries mate thanks for watching!! Yup, just the coils mate. Unfortunately I don't think you'll find anyone who does a gvm upgrade for these, they really are built to be a fun/hoon Ute not to carry and tow stuff. If you need the later, probably best to go something like a wild trak or ranger platinum I reckon.
@@Eddie_Turbo ahh I see.. gotta have a think about which route to take. Raptor is a beaut though, might have to just not kit it out as much and replace the springs like you did. Thanks for the reply
@@benwarnock mate our last 79 dual cab pretty much had everything you can think of, on it! It honestly was heavy, drove like crap and was borderline dangerous off road here in the high country.. The raptor is the opposite. I have tried to keep all the weight down and it still drives awesome!! Having said that, once I bolt a bull bar/winch and my 270 awning to the car there's instantly another 100ish kgs there!!
@@Eddie_Turbo haha yeah have heard that about the 79. I was actually looking at the platinum instead and going with a full touring set up, but went to ford today and fell in love with the raptor!
How'd you go mate? Make up your mind??
I do have to agree with you. This is the real upgrade from the AC200 mac. Not sure why they ever made the AC200 L.
The 200L at the time was a fantastic release. As time goes on, bigger and better things come out to play!
@@Eddie_Turbo Not really. The 200L was just released here last month! They taken away the 12v 30amp. Took away the 2 wireless charging on top and made a 48v port that they still haven't come out with a cable for it.
Where are you located mate?
@@Eddie_Turbo Sweden
All the blankets will fail at the folding seams.
The soft blankets yes. The semi rigid ones should last a little while longer!

Thank you, on Bluettis own page the display looks very different, the text is white and it have green menus. ?
That's a good pickup mate, I'm not sure to be honest, best if you contact Bluetti direct!
ARB canopy? Looks good 👍
Thanks mate! It's a Maxliner Venture canopy. If you check my channel, in the 7,000km review, there's a chapter about the canopy if you're interested!
Thanks mate, will do
Just a tip on communication. Starlink works almost anywhere. This is something relatively cheap for communication anywhere you can get power to power it up. Such as power outlet on your truck or a battery kit. Another good thing is starlink signal goes through fiberglass which most camper shells are made off. You can mount one insize your camper pointing up to the sky and get signal.
Very good suggestion. I'm thinking of changing my home internet to starlink just so we can also bring it out with us, not for Netflix, but for emergencies. Thanks for sharing
Interested in buying a Tesla?? Use our refer a friend code and we can both save some $$$ ts.la/sarah832053
this seems like the perfect setup for me, however i am going to hold off till they have the batteries available seperately, so i can buy a third battery. that way i can have 2 in the 180T, always charging, and one in the fridge keeping it cool.
That sounds like the ultimate setup!!
Who farted? I heard a fart at the end of the video.
Great pickup!
It's ok it's perfectly natural.
@@LongIslandicedteaaa yes it is perfectly natural. I fart all the time.👍
Haha yes it was actually a sound effect.. But I don't mind letting one go here and there!
Couldn't agree with you more on the weight. Ive got the same colour Raptor on order as a 24.5. Coming from the last of the 200s Im a little nervous about going back to a dual cab. Ive ordered the HSP roller cover, did you have any issues when you had that other than the dogs?
Hey mate, just water issues getting in, but that was more from Ford's end (tailgate). I'd honestly go the factory ford roller shutter (wasn't an option when I ordered mine), as you get the proper dust seal. You can order the seal separately, it might even work with the HSP (give them a buzz). The buttons IMO were way too sensitive. When it rained, often the water would activate the touch switches, which would leave all my gear in the back wet. So I started locking the door to deactivate the switch.
@Eddie_Turbo Yeah I've heard that seems to be the case with a lot of them, unfortunately, but yeah, a lot seems to get in from the tub itself so will look at sealing that as beat I can. Yeah I heard about the sensitivity of the buttons which has be concerned
Yup, I need to spend some time to have a good look into the tub and find out how best to seal it!
Hi, thx for the video. As long the numbers for the Solar are correct, w, v, and a , then it should work fine?
Yup! Just make sure you connect the panel direct to the Bluetti (do not use a solar panel controller if one is supplied with it).
I have AC70 and I am going to get cable with XT60 plug. With my B80
Good idea!
I like how you coiled cord. I didn’t even think about doing that, I just left it in big loop. Thanks
Thanks mate, are you happy with your combo?
Love the detail ❤ can I have one?
They are available now mate!!
Cheers
From what I found it doesn’t seem to be dual zone fridge and freezer?
Hi mate, it's not a dual zone, it's a single zone fridge/freezer with a ice maker compartment.
@@Eddie_Turbo thanks then I’ll rather get a dometic thanks for the info !
Fair enough mate, I have had some shocking experience with dometic in the past, but the most recent purchase (the massive dometic 90ltr for the van) has actually been pretty good!
Why n want that get d22 stop being n poser
Sorry mate, I don't understand your question?
Great tips Eddie. Can you confirm the tyre size and if you’ve been happy with the choice of maxxis in 34s? I’m tossing up whether to go 35s or 34s and which ones. Thanks!
Hey mate thanks! They are 295/75/17. If you check out my 7,000km review video I talk a little bit about them. I went 34 as to go 35 just needs a little bit of work to fit them
Thx buddy
Thanks for watching!
Are they shipping points or recovery points??
On the raptor they are referred to as recovery points, the manual suggests you can use them for recovery but doesn't state any ratings... Having said that, in the previous gen I have seen them used in all sorts and they were perfectly fine. I'm not sure about the regular Ranger but just check your manual 👍🏽👍🏽
Mate I’m a new subscriber. great review. Very informative. Thank you!
Thanks mate!!!
Cant wait to see some offroad with this beast
Me to 😂😭
Nice, not many with canopies on the back which I appreciate.
100%! I tried other options, but for me, a canopy was a must.
Who makes that canopy? Ty
@@user-hk8kw6hl1s Hey mate it's a Maxliner Venture canopy. If you have a look at the video I made about the raptor 7000km review there's a section in there all about the canopy.
@@Eddie_Turbo thank you sir
You're welcome
I was wondering how those little fucker came out
I spent the first 5 mins pulling and trying to pry them off thinking surely it can't be this hard... Then I had a good look under and saw the screws 😂 turns out, it's also in the manual 🙄 who reads that thing!!
Are you interested in more Ranger content?? Hit that sub button!!
good job. What about a 200w EcoFlo folding vs 200w Bluetti folding vs 200w Renogy folding
That's a good idea. I'll try get my hands on an @ecoflow unit!
Sorry I'm not understanding the car park analogy. Are you saying it's best to keep the battery <80%?
Hey mate I was referring to charging speeds. Lithium iron phosphate batteries charge really fast from 0-80% then the last 20% takes longer to charge!
great vid mate! awesome to see a rig that almost looks like mine. got the exact same build except for the cab.
Awesome! What have you done differently? And what's next??
Can the cooler charge the battery if it’s plugged into ac or dc power out can it only charge the battery via solar? I ask because i already have the bluetti ac200p. So i was thinking of getting the cooler with one battery and have it plugged into my ac200p to run the cooler and charge the cooler battery at same time. Thx
Hey Ray, it definitely can charge the battery vid AC/DC. It's currently in the back of my ute with one battery in, and the fridge is plugged into the cig socket so its charging as I'm driving. When I get home and I'm not going to drive the car for a while, I'll plug the fridge into 240 and it will charge!
PS I can see you have a 890! I'm currently in the market for a 690/701...
Love the video!! Keep it up bro!
Thanks bro!!
Keep up the quality content mate. Keen to hear your longer term review :)
Thanks Markyyyyyy!

Cool but I've seen it on a track. M3P which is faster the the Y. It got 1.09 at pheasants wood circuit. My audi S6 which is 2 second slowly in a straight line. Beat it i got 1.05 beat it by 4 seconds......
Were you driving both cars? Driving in a straight line and around corners is a complete different beast as you're well aware, totally depends on the driver.
@@Eddie_Turbo I didn't drive it. But on another occasion a mate of mine drove a M3P he got 1.05 but he gets 58 seconds in his pulsar..
@@michael9678727 interesting ... I was susing out the lap times at the Nurburgring and they (Teslas) seem to be up there with decent cars.. pulsar is what sub 1200kg car even less maybe... I'd love to see how a comparable car like a rav 4 hybrid goes on a track 😀
@@Eddie_Turbo the biggest issue he found was the brakes. You need to hit them hard as there is no "down shift" the plaid had thos issue when Misha first had a go on the Nurburgring. I think the track pack was made after Misha complained! Lol
@@Eddie_Turbo mind you the pulsar is set up as a racing car. But nothing has been done to the engine.
Now time 100 to 200km/h and you will be disappointed cos 10.7 seconds isn't fast... either is a 11.8 sec 1/4 😊😅
11.8 is pretty fast for a family car that costs me less than $3 a day to 'fill up?' 🤷🏽
@@Eddie_Turbo it actually isn't. Not by today's standards.... they're quick to 100, then get slaughtered by many. 😉
I’ve driven one & its basically a RC car you can sit in & drive…. Its really nothing special. Just commuting around is boring as bat shit. Yeah the stereo is banging but its also american which also means electrical problems & expensive to fix (ironic cause its electric 🤣)
Haha fair enough,we have done over 26,000kms in ours, I drive the raptor daily but love taking the Tesla for a spin! I find the quietness calming yet never found the car boring! But each to their own I guess, thanks for tuning in!
