Life Not Going Your Way?
Hey guys and thanks for tuning in. You join me for a ride on the Grom and a candid chat. The last motovlog about becoming a man has sparked some good conversation and advice; I thought I'd continue the theme and share some of my thoughts.
In this one, the aim was to have a quick chat to the camera about how I've dealt with some of the common issues that coming of ages presents and the importance of accountability, in my life.
Feel free to leave or ask for any advice from the community in the comments. It's a cold world; let's try and foster some support and community.
Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.

I recently took a trip to Weymouth with my family, we are very fond of it. With it being the end of the season, there was an eerie vibe to it that I thought would be fun to document. We stumbled upon the arcade whilst exploring on our scooters. Thanks for watching! @DomsWheelhouse on everything!

If you ever get the opportunity to go; you absolutely should. I had an awesome time. I'll catch you guys in the next one. Thanks for watching, it's mega appreciated. @domswheelhouse on everything!

Welcome guys and gals! Different one today. Me and my partner Beth do a Theme Park trip once a year and I decided to film it this time! It was so much fun. Mainly to have the memories immortalised and also to test my new DJI Osmo Action 5. I am blown away by the camera! Thanks for watching, It's super appreciated. @DomsWheelhouse on everything.
GoPro V DJI Osmo Action 5: Motovlog Set Up

Hey guys, quick yapping motovlog today. Excited to have a camera that works! A very basic test against the old/ new set up. Not a fair test, mainly for my own records. GoPro: 4K/ 25FPS, Superview. DJI: 4K/30FPS, Ultra Wide. When I switched to the DJI in the video, it was considerably darker. The low light sensitivity is great and I'm impressed with the increased FOV. My only complaint is that t...

What's your mic setup for the exhaust audio man?
@@georget2638 it was straight out of the camera for the short pull, rest of the audio is the lav inside my helmet man! The camera mic is quite impressive but it helps that the speeds were low I think. Gets blown out at higher speeds
Still saving up for mine
What you getting?👀
@DomsWheelhouse at this point anything with a motor, two wheels and a price tag that won't put me in more debt than Student Finance.
@ sounds good to me
I am a woman and I can confidently say this entire video applies very well to women too. I know there are a lot of people who will say that men and women are so different and we go through such different lives. But in reality, other than the obvious biological and some social differences, we live through the same stuff, we belong to the same system when we are young, and later on in life. I could relate to most things you said in the video and all of it is a great advice for any young person. Having a solid male mentor figure in a womans life is also very important. We absolutely need to understand the more practical things in life through the eyes of more practical person, rather than emotional one. And women need to see an example of a good man, so they can have the standards set for their relationships they get in to. I was lucky to have amazing parents, and my father is the best man I know.
Thank you for offering your perspective as a woman, that’s insightful. And thank you for taking the time to watch! Your comments regarding a practical approach vs perhaps a more emotional one is something I’ve certainly experienced; especially being surrounded by sisters!
I am 68 and loved your video, off to play some field hockey now, so yes enjoy your life and keep doing stuff.
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed your field hockey 😎
The random cosmos putting this video in this critical moment for me is kinda a miracle. Thanks
You’re welcome. Take care
Some good advice there and the combo of a nice ride is great. As an old bastard who wasted a lot of time being miserable when young the advice I would give myself is to not take stuff so seriously, not to rush into anything and to care for yourself (first). As one example aspect, I wasted a lot of time being unhappy when single, desperately looking for a relationship and being unhappy in some unhealthy ones (because I didn't want to be 'alone'). It was only when I finally reconciled myself that being single was fine and being happy in myself was more important that I actually found someone good to be with. Irony, but also makes sense, as I probably gave off desperate/weird vibes hehe. Also I would say don't worry too much about feeling confused or unhappy when young, because guess what? It's normal! Maybe more normal than those that seem happy (and, probably, they have just as many issues as you, they are just better at hiding it). Part of being young is getting used to hormones rushing about - you are still developing, brain and body and socially, so of course things will be weird. Give yourself a break. Take a deep breath. Don't take it deeply to heart. Go do something healthy and/or fun (like ride a bike!). You'll feel better later. I'm not trying to downplay mental health issues at all. Some do have serious problems that need intervention and it can be hard to spot the difference, but I truly believe that many young people these days are told they have a condition (or several) when what they are experiencing is completely normal. Finally, it's rough if you don't have a 'normal' support group (whatever that is!), but finding someone to talk to is very important, yes. Don't keep it all in - you will end up obsessing and making mountains of molehills.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. That is absolutely fantastic advice and really insightful. At the end of the day, it’s really not all that serious, managing your perception of your life and problems seems to be the crux of it all! Thanks again 🙏
Loved the video brother. Made me stay for the whole thing with my 1 min attention span lol
Appreciate that man 🙏 hahaha I’ll take that 🤣
Such a strange place to explore!

Finest video i ever see youtube recommended so far in 2024. Btw words were intriguing made my dayy.
@@nothing-ug5bk thank you, I appreciate the kind words 🙏
please not carpet. you can get fabric with foam on the back. you just spray it with glue and stretch it over the trim. looks like 100 times better. same effort. same cost. and always choose light colours. you'll see why at the end.
Such wise words bro, you articulate your thoughts so well! Maia felt super called out from everything you said 😂😂
Thank you man! Should’ve planned the video instead of just yapping honestly 😂 the joy of editing haha. Maia has got nothing to worry about, she’s awesome! Most of what I said is a right of passage when you grow up. So many lessons learned the hard way 🤣

@@meosh_96 right?? I’m stoked on it! Me too man, it’s such a shame 😭
why did you not do your ceiling first then work your walls into it ? now you have to clamber over the bed to fix the ceiling
Initially put it off because it was low priority and the cost of the components and materials I’ve decided to use. Working around the bed hasn’t been an issue thankfully!
@@DomsWheelhouse insulation and ply for the ceiling is no more expencice than for the walls? Unless you want something that sounds good costs a fortune but probaby don't work

👋Hi Dom, Came across your channel 👌so impressed I subscribed. What spray glue did you use to stick the carpet too the panels ( it looked like a WD 40 can 🫣). 🏴
Hey! Welcome aboard, thank you so much. I use the Screwfix No Nonsense spray contact adhesive. It used to come in a white and blue can, but now it’s a white and red can. It’s great stuff!
Nice work. Grey carpet would be lighter. Video on the cool Landy please.

Seemed impossible, but it’s been over 2 years and I don’t crave a drop of alcohol, the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal, not even within the first 30 days, just happened after go’ogling Steffon Barkloads Quit Drinking Forever and genuinely quitting because I was a mess.
Congrats man, I bet that has been hard work and a huge feat worth recognising. Thanks for dropping in and all the best for the future. Ive been sober for less than a year and my life is on a significantly better trajectory, I imagine yours is too
Hi Dom, nice to see another van lifer. I’m really looking forward to seeing what design ideas you come up with. I’m 2 years into van life (very basic setup) and I’m just about to start converting mine too (not sure I could handle another winter without insulation) lol.
Thanks for dropping a comment! I’m deep in the build at the moment, trying to get as much done as possible. I’ll post a video about it asap! I think insulation is a game changer, certainly worth doing and not crazy expensive. I’ve just finished insulating the Sprinter and I’m glad it’s sorted! You’re an absolute trooper for braving a winter without insulation 😆
I didn’t really have a choice tbh, but this winter will be different and I’m looking forward to finally sorting it all out.. might even video it, not sure I’m brave enough though. I hope your build is coming along nicely, look forward to the updates. Take it easy
The solution to overpriced homes due to demand are not overpriced vans (due to demand)
@@VelcorHF I agree, it’s not right. But for now, I’d take an overpriced van over providing someone with a passive income and struggling along the way every time!
Do you have a better solution?
