9-22-2024 I'm replacing the axles and the springs still look good. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to attach a picture.

I gotta do the same thing on my 04 F250 4x4 6.0. But I think I'm going with the high flow. While going thru the trouble.

Thanks for the video.... drops and all. It's tight spaces in there, and everyone is going to experience the same situation. I put an old drop cloth under the motor so things won't roll too far away. Hope you found that bolt!
Abandon this worthless filter, and install a dieselsite external full flow filter system, with flush valve and gauge, plus the deep pan and 6.4 filter, and be done with it.
Hello.. eteceh 30 hp petrol pump is working continuously, the engine is protecting itself, what should I do..my brain malfunction..
Hope that’s not the wife’s nice throw rug under there. I would have put on an aftermarket Billet aluminum pan, instead of the tin ford pan. The transmission flexes under load, and the billet pan stops that. It also holds 12 quarts, and is finned for better cooling. That’s what I put on my 2006.
How can you see what’s wrong when all the spray is microscopic , how do you know what has caused the faulty injector , why install a new one if you don’t know why the injector failed in the first place . Eric
The motor will run like crap. The Evinrude diagnostic software I have, allows me to turn off one injector at a time. When you turn off one injector at a time, the engine RPMs will drop and it will run worse. When I turn off an injector and the engine does not change RPMs or change running condition, I have found my bad injector. It could also be a dead coil, but that's how I determine which injector is bad
@@swflbandvideos5947 I think you missed my point , What cause the injectors to fail in the first place , it seems Evenrude are the only engines that don’t have a logical reason, Is there something that triggers the failure. It’s a bit like getting a nail in your tire eventually it will go flat , if you just pump up the tire it will go flat again. Thank you

Hi @moneypit, from which shop or website did you buy your injectors? Do they come as a kid or you have to buy injector and o ring and crush washer separately?
Great vidio !! Would not have though of the impact wrench the vidio was worth watching just for that info also the filter location and what it looks like will help, I've had problem getting threads started especially in a difficult to reach location. Fun and informative video to watch.
You're making me laugh, I drop so many screws working on the engine and I have a rock driveway, I have to have the kids come out with their metal detectors looking for them. Glad I'm not the only one. 🙂
Use some black tape with the sticky side out to hold your bolts in side the socket.
May be a silly question, but how did you determine which injector was bad. I have not used the diagnostic software before, but I am considering buying it now. I’ve had the #1 injector replaced 2x by the dealer and I’m pretty sure I have another injector going out. Would be a lot faster if I could change this myself.
The software allows you to turn off one injector at a time. When an injector is turned off the engine will idle lower and there will be a stumble. When you turn off an injector and there is no change, that is your bad injector
Just pull plug wires. When nothing changes you have found your cylinder.

If you stop the video at the 6:33 mark, you will notice the new pan already has the magnet installed from from factory. Sooo, there was no need for me to reuse my old magnet. 😁

@@jamesepullenjr2 Really? I did this in January 2015, when did you buy your transmission pan? If you bought it after 2015, maybe they do not include include the magnet anymore? if that's the case, I hope people read your comment!
Was the system drained beforehand? I wanna change just my filter but don’t want to lose a bunch of fluid, looks like you had minimal fluid loss there. Those threads are awful to get off and on!

Others respond by telling them to go elsewhere so the person being criticized can stay at the same level they were yesterday and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that. 👍

Thanks for the Video. I watched this a couple times. Its given me the confidence to replace my #2 injector. Something I picked up while you were talking about the fuel line Clip. You said you paid $300 for your injector. Is that correct? I bought mine for $595. Where did you purchase yours? Thanks again, I am stepping out to replace mine right now.
I was able to replace my injector and download the new Coefficient file much easier with your video. I dropped that fuel line hold down bolt 3 times. If I hadn't watched your video I would have lost it down inside the cowling. I had stuffed rags ahead of time just for that possibility. Something that was different with my 06' 200HO engine was that the fuel injector harness has an extra wire that runs from the plug attached to the injector to the coil pak. I did a little research and found some instructions oh how to remove that wire from the connector and reinsert it into the new injectors plug. That was the hardest part of the entire job, getting that wire out of the connector with out damaging the pin. So heads up to anyone with the older engines. If you have three wires on your injector plug you have to be carful and remove that pink or orange wire that runs to the coil. Don't cut it or damage it. You have to reuse it. Thanks again for taking the time to make and post that video. You saved me some time and headaches. I had determined that my injector was bad using the Evinrude software and performing the spark and fuel drop tests. Also using the timing light to verify spark. I had my fingers crossed that my diagnosis was correct. It was and my motor is running great again.
Hello, the last injector I bought was two-and-a-half years ago when I did that video. And yes I purchased it from my local Evinrude dealer for $300. they may have gone up quite a bit since then. I'm Happy the video helped you out, it's probably one of my worst as far as audio and video quality but that was because I decided to use a GoPro camera that time and I will never do that again!
I started to watch the video and I had to turn it off! I'm surprised you were able to figure out how to do it.....damn that video sucks..... at the time I made it there were no videos showing how to change the injectors so I decided to make one but it's not a very good one but I'm glad you were able to use the video to help you out
@@myraret Don't knock your video. Its the only one I found out there that goes over the procedure. I listen to this with my headphones on my desktop. I could hear everything you said fine. Including when you mumbled under your breath about how much you paid for your injector. I have one of the earlier Etecs. I learned that my injectors are the most expensive to replace. twice what yours cost. Too bad for me. Anyway, I am a mechanic. I didn't need to see everything you did. The tip on using a screw driver to pry the fuel lines off was great. Saved me the trouble of figuring it out, not knowing how they insert. The tip about not dropping the 5/16 bolt was great. I stuffed rags under and it did save me three times. I had the ECM wiring harness in the way. Made it tough to get my fingers in there. The biggest tip was from your part 2 video with the loading of the .dat file. I was able to just smoothly do the entire job (except for that 3rd wire my injector has) because of this video. Nice job and thanks again for taking the time to post it.
With that program, is it possible to qr scan injectors and reprogram an used emm to my 115 2006 e-tec. Burnt my emm like many else
Am I the only one who wanted ice cream at 6:09? And greatly appreciate the honesty regarding getting the filter housing back on - a lesser man would have edited it out. On those aluminum threads I use a product called EZ TURN LUBRICANT (aircraftspruce.com; aka fuel lube). Haven’t done my external transmission filter yet (which explains why I’m watching your video!), but I bet the fuel lube will do the trick- we use it on airplanes all the time.
Anyone noticed shavings in the filter after replacement? Did the truck shift any smoother
Where did you buy the program for your laptop? Did it come with the cable and anything else needed?Have you seen the ones on Ebay? I wonder if they will work?
I have an old version of the program that was given to me. I made my own cable to go from laptop to engine. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the programs for sale on eBay.
I guess some judiciously placed anit-seize is required on that pot metal canister.

Nice vid just what I want to do on my 08 300 etec almost 900 hrs on injectors I run tcw-3 oil setting on computer heard too many stories on lean inj with xd 100 oil How do I get the coefficient for the injector e mailed to me. I agree, the video and audio suck. I used my GoPro this time to record and the view is far away and weak audio. Before buying the injectors, make SURE the coefficient file is included in the purchase. It can either be emailed to you or loaded on your flashdrive if you purchase in person. Otherwise the injectors are useless without the file.
2:31 Hello to you , Do you know the cause of why your injector/s need replacing, I would would interested to know , as I have 2x 300 Evenrude and one is perfect it 3 wire that run the injectors: the problem one is the same age engine number are close to each other the trouble one only has 2 wires to run the injectors , has anyone given you any quality reasons why the injector stops working. Thanks. Just changed mine based on your video. My dealer told me they could not get off the trans filter cap and after watching your video I realized that they probably didn’t even try to use an impact wrench. They said they wanted to change the complete assembly of the cap being “frozen”. Good thing I said no!
I changed my trans filter a couple of weeks ago and ran into the same problems. Using a socket and long handle 3/8 swivel head ratchet I thought I was going to tear the filter right out of the bracket and it would not budge. Next attempt was to heat the filter housing around the thread area with a small butane torch to expand the housing and hit it with my snap on 3/8 impact and a six point socket and she came off. Installing the new filter I had a hard time getting it started as you did. I think its because of the spring pressure on the filer while trying to start the threads. Another point the base of the filer with the spring is a magnet that needs to be cleaned. lube the threads up good it feels like the threads are trying to gall.
Everyone knows that in order to put one of those back you have to hold your head at the proper angle while sticking your tongue out in the opposite direction. Right?
