River Spey Canoe & Wild Camp Part 2
Finally I have finished editing our second part of the River Spey, Scotland, trip we did last summer. This part involves the unpleasant experience of capsizing!! Thankfully we were okay but Fred's camera didn't survive!

มุมมอง 1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A four-day and three-night adventure riding the rapids of our local River Spey with our dog Apache. Gorgeous weather in July 2021 which meant hardly any bugs at all. Follow us on our journey and experience the highs and lows along with us.

A hike around Culbin Forest which lies on the northeast coast of Scotland between Findhorn Bay and Nairn. Parts of the forest are classified as SSSIs (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) due to the diversity of flora and fauna. It is a special place which also hides war remnants and a buried villages. In this video, my friend Claire and I spend a very sunny day visiting some of its highlights...
Canoeing the Yukon 2019 Pt2

Part 2 of our canoe trip on the Teslin and Yukon rivers. This part is a massive improvement on part 1 as I used a better video editor. During this episode, we stumble upon remains of cabins, mining equipment and finally enter the Yukon River stopping at Hootalinqua for camp 5.

A 500 mile canoe trip from Johnson's Crossing to Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada. We started on the Teslin River and then continued on the Yukon. Loch Maree Camp 2020
มุมมอง 3173 ปีที่แล้ว
We were lucky to have a window of time between restrictions to have a wee adventure at Loch Maree. It is a beautiful Loch steeped in history and adorned with ancient Scots pine. This was the first time the weather had been kind to us. It can be an unforgiving and gloomy environment. Filmed with my Huawei P30 which is really lost on me. I don't have the skills of my partner but just wanted to cr...

    Hi Kelly - great solo adventure. I’ve just got a Ticket To The Moon original pro as I wanted a lighter set up than the Haven for backpacking. Currently testing it out in the back garden. Set up was in the dark last night and it went ok. Tweaked it today in daylight for my second night under the stars. The forecast is for another fine night so have not set up my tarp . I looked at the Haven but I decided it was more weight than I wanted right now. Might splash out on a Haven in the future though! Super impressed by the location you camped in - I’m curious, how many miles did you cycle to get there?

    • @kfadventures7205
      @kfadventures7205 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will have to look into your TTTM. I like the idea of something lighter. Hope you get out adventuring soon. It was a 6 mile/10km cycle to the camp spot so really handy.

    Great video! Are you still enjoying the Haven? Any further thoughts on it overall? I mainly sleep in hammocks here on the West coast of Scotland as the ground is too wet for a tent for much of the year. I like the idea of the Haven. Unfortunately its really expensive compared to other hammock options at ±£270.00 with UK import/VAT. For that kind of money it would need to be pretty amazing in terms of sleep quality and build quality. I'm not saying its not worth it, I'm just saying I don't know if it is. Thanks again for the great video, looked like a great trip. :-)

    Hello. Just the same as me i love being near the ocean. There i forage for seafood and cook on an open fire. Yes with pasta seafood goes well with it. I can remember my first wild camp and it was scary but after a few hours being on your own it is well worth it. Pitching up a tent then walking the ocean shore line is a must. Then at the end of a perfect day sit and watch the sunset. So peaceful and later at night look up and see the Stars and the moon-light casting late night shadows over the water.. Regards Mick from England..Xx
