    This is on the menu at a restaurant called J Arthurs in Maggie Valley, NC….first & last time I ever had it. Let’s just say I’m not a huge chicken lover & I’m definitely not a chicken nugget or chicken tender type of palette when I eat fast food. BUT this Bourbon Pecan Encrusted Chicken is the best chicken dish on Planet Earth. Will be using this recipe for my Christmas this year!

    • @chefsarahsmith6985
      @chefsarahsmith6985 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some brands yes, while others no. If it tells you on the can that you need to refrigerate it, or you find it in the refrigerated section of your supermarket, then, yes you need to refrigerate it. Some canned products like certain brands of crab meat need to be refrigerated because the cans, while pasteurized, are not sterilized. They are pasteurized at a lower temperature so that it can be canned and last longer, but no to the point where it doesn't need to be refrigerated.

    They are similar because both are chili but in Perú we call it chili peppers “Ajies” (plural) o “ají”(singular) and because they are dry in the sun. But they are not the same, they are different, the scientific name of the Peruvian Chili is Capsicum baccatum and the name of the Mexican chili is Capsicum annuu, also both have different flavor. But maybe if you can’t find the Peruvian, the Mexican can work. We don’t use jalapeños also. Some of the famous chilis in Perú are the Panca (dry and red ají or chili) the Amarillo(yellow) the we use it in everything, and it has a delicious flavor, “ají Limo” The best for make ceviche and Rocoto the most hot chili in the world. 😊Thank you for the recipe! It looks delicious ❤

    The food looks good, but this is not Peruvian Roasted Chicken or at least it is not authentic. This dish requires aji amarillo and/or Huacatay. Those 2 ingredients give this dish that distinctive "Peruvian flavor". I am sure it taste good, but without those ingredients it is just roasted chicken.

      Hi there, I live in a very small town in Quebec, Canada, where on most days can't even find a jalapeño and during covid forget about it.lol Very sad. The closest I can come to is adding a can of chipotle peppers in adobe sauce to the marinade. It is still super yummy with that green sauce.
