You guys did an excellent job reviewing this first class metal album. Yesterday was the first time I'd ever heard of Crusty Old Toad when their newest album popped up on my TH-cam. So, I gave it a listen and was instantly a fan and I had to check out their earlier releases. All the earlier albums, including This Doom Gloom and Poon is just as good as the new release because all four of their albums sound the same. Yes, there are a few variations, but essentially you could take any song and put it on anyone the four albums and it would be hard to pick out the song as not fitting in.

Saw it in KC back in April with In Flames instead of Hatebreed and it was great. I actually missed In Flames, but everyone else sounded good. I'm not a Trivium fan but seeing a band stop when someone goes down in the pit is nice because obviously the pit is all about fun. Lamb of God was cool as usual. I saw them in 2017 with Slayer so it was actually my second time seeing them and yeah they brought all the fire and everything just like you said. But for me it was all about Megadeth. They're the reason I went in the first place and it was definitely worth it. I may be biased or whatever because they are my favorite band of all time depending on the day but Dave sounded great to me. Obviously the instruments all sounded great but even his voice sounded better than I expected which made me so so happy. I had a blast.

I definitely agree with you on this one regarding the lyrical content. However, for me, I'm 27 and my ex gf was 23. We had a really great relationship, I put a lot more effort into the relationship then I did in previous relationships, and she put in a lot more effort into the relationship then girlfriends I had before her. We had a really great relationship, the only thing was is she wanted kids and I'm not sure I do want kids. I really love kids, but I haven't made the decision to have or not to have kids, and her whole dream was to get married and have children, so we broke up over a difference in what we wanted our futures to be. I don't think he's being pretentious in this song. I think he had a really great time with a woman, and he thinks that the woman had a really great time as well, but maybe they had to break up for non nefarious reasons, and he still appreciates the relationship with her and feels she still appreciates the relationship she had with him as well. I'm pretty sure my ex appreciates having me in her life even though it didn't work out, because we had a healthy relationship, but what we wanted long term wasn't the same. I think that's what this song is about. We had a special time together, I hope the best for you and I know you want the best for me, but we shared a time together that both of us will always appreciate even if we have someone more suited to our needs now.
