I think splatoon 4 should be on a island chain called the tenta isles which is where someone has turned other sea life like the salmonids invade the tenta isles

Can't wait for splatoon 4 to have a decent campaign primarily dedicated to wrapping up all of room's loose ends lol. Also irt the tear reviving Craig, it's true that water IS lethal to inklings when they fall in it but that is due to their thin skin and osmotic pressure as confirmed in dev interviews. It seems that they can handle water just fine in small amounts or when partially submerged. Also, like all living things, inklings do need to consume water. The beverages they drink have some water in them. Don't blame you for getting confused tho. The games aren't really clear on how the water weakness works.

Once I talked with some people about how Tartar's control works and what exactly they were made to do, and our conclusion for when we beat Tartar is that the Sanitized Octarians just keep doing what they're doing. "A TV doesn't turn off when the remote dies"

If 4 isn't in the next game I'm convinced they either died in the creation of Parallel Canon or from Order. ...Not that I wouldn't love to see 4 again too.

Kinda wish the "mammalians" be rabbits since rabbits are mammals and they multiply like crazy. and with power of fuzzy ooze surely the mammalians would adapt the power of inkling and octoling powers such as specials. rabbits would have more speed when swimming/digging. missed potential chance though because not a single sign of mammalian has been shown. even i don't see hairy fuzzy ooze as obstacles to dodge on each kettles but on rocket. also during the grand festival. not a single non humanoid octarian (EX:Octorooper) shown on the fest. just endless amount of jellyfish fans and inklings/octolings. sure there's DJ Octavio but where's the rest? sure some are fuzzied or sanitized but it feels like this kind of trend on enemy octarians didn't even get any new kind of skills or tactics. sure they have UFO and other mechs they can do. even steal zapfish easily while other inklings and octolings are carefree and not a care. would've been nice to see them hang around with jellyfishes and others. but instead remain trapped in kettles. not a sign of redemption. only genocide. Before Cuttlefish is drained. grizz told him that cuttlefish has a knowledge for years. such as wars/human/stuff. but cuttlefish doesn't seem to have any kind of biography or any knowledge he has saved on the books or somethin. he does have knowledge of past like great turf war though he doesn't seem to talk about it. i still wish to know why cuttlefish wants to prevent the octarians since they hardly caused any trouble on inkopolis! The Calamari Inkantation is a special song that makes every inklings and octolings gain bravery and valor to fight back the enemy and seize the goal. it also weakens the enemies. what if there's like a rogue inkling/octoling who'd instantly defeats/punches the idols easily as they end up splatted. showing that there are some vulnerbalities. it would be cool to see some punch for once. as for the music. i can imagine a sonic boom or high pitch noise breaking their focus so many missed potentials. all because of turf wars endless grind. would've been cool to have adventure updates or more bosses than just every 4 boss per adventure game. i need stronger enemies. more lore. our picks of our own specials and weapons. splatoon 4 is coming soon yea but not much update on adventures at all. just same thing over and over. ape escape does a better job than that.

Or.... the credits arent canon. You think a planet size ink cloud just floats around there?

Agent 4 is the middle child of the franchise, if they’re swept completely under the rug then that’s even more sad..

The discussion surrounding the Agents is so fascinating and confusing to me. Everyone talks about them as important characters to the series the way they are beloved and desired to reappear... They’re just the player character. A silent protagonist for the player to see themselves in. Why would they even want to keep engaging in actual war against the octarians or other evils? Just play peaceful turf war. Especially 8; it makes sense they’d continue to be friends with OtH, maybe even Craig and Cpt 3, but I don’t see them returning to the life of combat they left their home to escape. Side Order handled their inclusion pretty well, but realistically it could’ve been any Ink/Octoling who got hacked in and faced the tower. 4 on the other hand makes very little sense to be in SO as they never had any connection to the cast of Octo Expansion. That’s why 4 exists, Marie needed someone while they were doing their own thing. Why wouldn’t OtH ask 3 for security help, especially since they showed their skill when saving 8 and fighting under Tartar’s control. Ultimately, I assume a large contributor to the agent’s popularity, regardless of their actual importance to lore or plot, is the fact that 3 first came back in Octo Expansion, and admittedly in a really cool way. However, if they keep bringing them back it will make each new one less special and fill the cast with empty characters. Personally, I hope we see a focus on brand new characters in future games, let the current ones have a rest and live their life. (Did not mean for that to be so long)

I’m really glad you mentioned the Fuzzy Octarians because I truly hope they come back in the next games dlc, going off the fact we know Off The Hook isn’t done with their dlcs (confirmed by Pearl herself in game) I hope Marina attempts to save them like she attempted to save the Sanitized Octarians, how? I don’t know Nintendo will pull something out of their ass😭🙄

With how Splatoon emphasizes the diagetic nature of the Splatoon world, incorporating as much of the video game mechanics into the world building, I wouldn't be surprised Octarian society is legitimately content posing themselves as bad guys who live in obstacle courses. I mean, if Micheal Jackson was so insistent on being bad, why not they?

I can see them make octos and squids join forces for another big threat in splatoon 4 orrrr the octos finally reach their breaking point i wouldnt be surprised if a octo team like the squid sisters rises up for one last push towards the surface. making it the first all octo singing group making it finally reach a peaceful ending with a merger of the two groups. squidlings and octolings finally living in harmony again

Instead of Splatoon 2's story being a copy and paste from Splatoon 1, i was thinking a better story line would go like this: scientists accidentally make some sort of corrupted ink, and the scientists, not wanting anyone to get a hold of it, threw it into the lakes of piranha pit, then The Great Zapfish gets exposed to the corrupted ink and the Zapfish becomes hyperintelligent and evil and plans to overthrow the inkling society for failing to protect it. its a terrible story but its better than a copy and paste of Splatoon 1.

10:38 the scroll's lore goes deeper than just showing Marina at the concert. It also shows Agent 8 next to the Octarian on Marina's left, meaning that both 8 and Marina left the army at the same time.

I love how Octavio seems like a typical goofy villain like bowser at first but once you read into it more he’s actually just a ruler who’s trying to do the best for his people even if it’s morally questionable

I’m shocked you didn’t mention the Splatoon 2 character relationship chart, where Callie’s thoughts about Octavio are “Okay, I’ll hear you out.” I honestly think that Callie, at least somewhat subconsciously, felt bad for the Octolings. I like to think that he at least talked to Callie before resorting to kidnapping.

Where the hell was Octavio in between the beginning of return of the mammalians and the ending? We know he fell into alterna with Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 3, so was he in the orange Cube thing repairing his mech?

Gotta give props to Nintendo for creating this great story about grey morality and misunderstandings between 2 tribes. It kinda reminds me of Ever After High and their story. There's actually quite a few similarities between the two pieces of media. While they both were made with the purpose of selling merchandise to consumers, they didn't do a half-baked job in doing so. Both of them have well crafted stories about grey morality and how there's two sides to every story. In Ever After High, the children of classic fairytales are expected to follow in the footsteps of their parents. Raven, the main protagonist and the daughter of the evil queen(the one from Snow White), doesn't want to do what's expected of her because she wants to live her life the way she wants to. Apple, her storybook counterpart, and Snow White's daughter, doesn't mind doing what's expected of her because her life isn't so bad. Raven doesn't want to be told how to live her life based on who her mother is but doesn't want to hurt her friends by doing so. Apple isn't bothered to see things from Raven's perspective and just thinks she's being selfish for not pledging to do what she's expected to do. Neither character is right or wrong for wanting something different than the other person. The same principle can be applied here. DJ Octavio may do some bad things, but he just does them to ensure that his tribe doesn't deteriorate, which does make him a good leader because at the end of the day, he cares about his tribe and just wants them to survive. He doesn't do evil things for the sake of being evil. He does them to cater to the needs of his people. The Inklings also aren't in the wrong either. They just interpret things differently. They just think DJ Octavio is being evil and taking his revenge, but that's not true. It's a really great and well written story, and I'm glad they got to have a happy conclusion in Splatoon 3, where both tribes set aside their differences and lay their feuding tensions in the past. In fact, i think this great story is one of the reasons why Splatoon was as successful as it is. I can't wait to see what happens next in the story of the Splatoon universe because more is definitely going to come, and now that Splatoon 3 marks the "end of a story arc" I wonder what other arcs Nintendo has planned for our marine creatures. Maybe they go up against a new threat or something. I'm just hoping they don't go with "Oh no, the great Zapfish is stolen. Let's go on a quest to get it back" because that storyline should be over by now, but we'll see

Think about this if you defend Lelouch from Code Geass, then how is what DJ Octavio doing different.
