I'm preparing all the 3D printing parts to realize this great project. Have you know if it is possible to color the PET before extruding to filament ?

Every time I try this, the bottle gets longer and lumpy instead of wider

Having built my own from scratch and all the iterations to get it to work well I can clearly see what a great design this is. My main goal for mine was to spend NOTHING. I literally did not have to buy so much a single part for it. I used only what I already had on hand or salvaged from other failed/broken projects. It's about 95% of what I want it to be. I have made a LOT of filament with it and things are starting to show their age so I suspect it is time to consider replacing/upgrading. I have well over 10kg if finished filament itching to be printed and I think this would be perfect...to print off the PET machine from recycled PET.

are you supposed to drill the frame? you can't screw everything into it with only 4 holes lol

I like the video love the machine concept only thing is that I'm not sure what i did wrong but my ender 3 was working fine i remove all the part removing cable by cable and reconnect but when i finished everything the stepper motor get stuck i already changes to a different one also different port and do the same any stepper motor move

I followed the instructions but now my display won't light up and there's a blinking red light on the board. Any ideas what might fix this?

why is the cooling fan facing down??

grinding down both bearings doesnt work fo me. it makes a gap between the bearings. i only grinded one and it works much better

The cooling plate fan on mine doesn't spin. Is it ok to just leave it or does it need to be replaced? I've been running it without the fan for months and have only just realized it doesn't actually spin.

I'm really sorry for saying this, but I absolutely hate this project because it is really overcomplicated. So many things to print + you have to buy screws and bolts

I did make the recreator to recycle 8L volvic bottles and trash from the park. I have some problems: 1.The filament diameter isn't completely equal to the length it's around 1.75 and 1.95 That isn't that bad to be honest but it has an impact on the print quality. 2. When printing on my modified ender 3 pro I need to help the Extruder because the gear can't grab that good to the hard and smooth surface of the filament 3. I need to tune the hotend temp to about 275°C with a 0.8 nozzle because a 0.4 nozzle won't work. Any suggestions? How can I get it to work After 4 test prints just one turned to something with extremely poor quality
