No, I was never on K-TV! (South African joke)
Some background on me:
My career as a television presenter started way back in 1998 when I joined M-Net as a continuity announcer and have remained in front of the camera in some way, shape or form ever since.
What will you see on the channel?
My mates think my current job is the best - testing and reviewing all the latest motor cars to hit the market - I wont lie, it is pretty cool. Ignition was started back in 2008 with me as the anchor presenter and it remains South Africa's only dedicated 24/7 motoring channel with just under 3 million viewers each week. So yes, expect to see a lot of car related content on my channel!
BUT I am equally passionate about creating content - conceptualising ideas for clients and telling their story. Thats where my production company, MRP, comes into the picture so you will also get to see the work I do from a production perspective and enjoy the moments we create.
Thanks, Marius

UFC Champ Dricus du Plessis fights it out on the Oval Track!
The champ isn't just devastating in the ring, he's pretty handy behind the wheel too as we discovered when we took him Oval Track racing for the very first time!

มุมมอง 3.5K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
32 days on the road and 6000km of unforgettable moments and memories…that’s Just To See Season 2 in a nutshell! So many people to thank: - people who made it happen, believed in concept and got us on the road - angels who kept us on the road when we faced challenges on the trip - the friendly faces who welcomed us in, allowed us a snapshot into their lives and who made the moments and the memor...

Well this is it... we have come to the end of the road! After 32 days on the road and one episode more than the scheduled 13, the second season of Just To See How Far It Is wraps up here! And what a fitting way to end things than a truly unique and special wild camping experience at Schotia Safaris Private Game Lodge just outside Port Elizabeth. Thanks to Justin and the Bean family for making t...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 13 - Living Lesotho Loca - adventuring from Katse to Semonkong
มุมมอง 9K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Lesotho is spectacular but traversing the Mountain Kingdom also takes time - something we are rapidly running out of! So to try eek out the most from the places we've chosen to base ourselves meant some marathon sessions in the Pajero and we were in for another - from Katse Village to Semonkong. Heeding local advice, we ended up re-routing and back tracking to Semonkong via Maseru and Roma, ins...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 12 - Lighting up Lesotho - from Sani Pass to Katse
มุมมอง 7K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
After the thrill of Sani Pass, it was a short drive Sani Stone Lodge. What a spectacular location, with their rondavels perched on the edge of the hilltop overlooking the valley and the river. A chat with the owner in the morning and we had permission to set up camp down at the river for what was a truly incredible wild camping experience...this is why we overland, why we adventure, is to find ...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 11 - Making a pass at Sani - Underberg & tackling Sani Pass
มุมมอง 11K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
It was good to have some down time in Nottingham Road - again - and we used this time to sort out admin like getting the dogs checked and their pawsports stamped by the State Vet in Pietermaritzburg. We had made the decision to head for the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, routing through the famous Sani Pass. But as has now become the norm this season, things didn't quite go to plan and ours got u...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 10 - Battling Fields & Mud - Mpumulanga to the Battlefields
มุมมอง 4.4K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
After 3 incredible days wild camping at Caracal Lodge in the Houtboshoek, it was time to get back on the road again - destination the Battlefields and the Blood River Heritage Site. Well, that was the plan anyway until I took a sho't left when I saw the Westoe Dam only to get us well and truly stuck in the mud! How we got out is a story in itself and forced us into yet another unscheduled stop ...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 9 - Warthogs & Caracals - Bela Bela to Mpumulanga
มุมมอง 6K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
After all the drama that saw us making an unscheduled overnight stop in Bela Bela, I never thought I would start the new day going for a walk with a warthog and 2 Yorkshire terriers! Isn’t life just great and a constant dark cloud silver lining reminder…what a wonderful treat and cheer me up our short stay at Vlakkieskraal turned out to be. We were back on the road for the 400km drive to my mat...

So just how did I go about gearing up my old Mitsubishi Pajero SWB for our second season of Just To See How Far It Is? There certainly has been a lot of interest shown because old model conversions just aren't that common...so I thought a short series covering the build and the choices we went with may be helpful for those of you also wanting to head off the beaten track without breaking the ba...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 8 - Bushveld Breakaways & Breakdowns - Rooiberg and Bela Bela
มุมมอง 8K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
After an incredible few days at Die Oog, our routing took us to yet another destination that wasn’t on our original travel plans - the Rooiberg in the Limpopo Province. And we found the perfect place - Doorndraai Lodge & Caravan Park - a privately owned game farm offering a variety of accommodation options including 5 star camping. But what really appealed to us was the recent addition of wild ...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 7 - EYE WONDER - Discovering the Marico Oog
มุมมอง 5K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
After our major re-routing up to Pretoria to do some running repairs and the subsequent short forced break, we were stoked to be back on the road! New routing - new destinations - nothing quite like just going with the flow! And our first stop is a spot that I honestly didn't even know existed - Marico Oog - a fresh water oasis that is just so unexpected in its location. We also had some mates ...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 6 - The Long Haul - trekking from Mdumbi to Pretoria
มุมมอง 7K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
The weather really wasn't playing along and with the forecast looking bleak for the rest of the week, we had some tough decisions to make - continue our Wild Coast wanderings up to Port St Johns as planned or make a run for it up to Pretoria to get our awning repaired? With a brief respite from the rain, we made the most of the sunshine and the beautiful beach setting at Mdumbi before tackling ...
Overlanding Southern Africa: JTS2 Ep 5 - Our Daily Grind - Exploring Coffee Bay
มุมมอง 7K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
We were sad to say goodbye to Wild Lubanzi but the next stop on our adventure lay just a few kilometers north up the coast - Coffee Bay! We based ourselves at White Clay as it's ideally situated as a gateway to explore this incredible stretch of coastline and while the weather really wasn't playing along, the Springboks were - what an epic Rugby World Cup Final! But the real silver lining was t...

Revisiting old favourites and discovering new ones - that is why we get on the road - and Mazeppa Bay was a new destination for me! God help this officers family 🙈
He is a nob head
Marius,,you are dealing with an educated vacuum who is determined to escalate the situation and show you he is the BOSS,only way he can intimidate you is by raising his voice and speak over you to prove his point
That op is nutz!!!
The doors don't autolock when you drive off you have to manually lock doors?
The cop was intensely over the top with his power trip.
Now I know why flame throwers mounted to cars in sth Africa are legal. 😂🇦🇺
😮😮😮😮😮😮 How did that driver keep so calm.
I am getting one, and I am not excited about the designs and features comparing to the price I am paying. The booting opening is assisted and the key doesn’t not have an option of opening the boot compared to the Nissan Xtrail 2.5 4x4 which I lost. I’m not excited but cars are very expensive.
He would of been told by now raj would of copped, both barrels of the best building site language ever .
Gee whiz that cop doesn't stop to draw breath.
what a amazing season
Someone needs to ask that cop “R U OK”
Would loved to have said after his rant " sorry can you please repeat that "
Black man annoyed, by white man driving noice car. Cheers Graham
Eish Marius you can and sound annoying really
Haha well you know what the really cool thing is? You don’t have to watch…and you definitely don’t want to watch Season 2 because that’ll just annoy you even further 😊
If this goes to court, the judge won't be able to get a word in.
Wow this cop started off wanting a fight there was nothing this poor guy could do or say that would make this prick of a cop happy
Lekker one Marius and crew! Wish we could join such a cool adventure... even though red speedo's were involved 😆
Wow both very belligerent
Sorry cops right display plates but got race attitude 😉
this is obviously jealous cop that doesn't know the law with a little authority that is why you remain silent and listen to the sillyness of the cop saying that you are not allowed to ask why you were pulled over for no reason very unprofessional
See you were brave with those guys when enquiring about diezel. You act scared you stsrt being seen as Victim. Confidence can take you far. As for Black label, embracing local life style.
Wow ! that blak fella could talk under water !
Lol Africans are a funny bunch
They gave that cop a firearm. Unbelievable.
This cop is an imbecile. Calm down mate. Have a KFC and a coffee.
If this officers attitude wasn't serious it would be funny.
I think the cops got a lack of oxygen to the brain with that mask on
Old mate is to hot headed to be a public servant.
No news that a large majority of police officers are little zeros.
The cop is arguing with the driver because he’s clearly very unhinged,, this man should NOT BE DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC, what a Wanker!
I guess unlike in America, you can't just tell him to f' off? 'cause he needed to be told to!
Dis is da bull crap dat south Africans deal with ,these cops are racists and unprofessional 💔💔 they earn the hate💔💔
Say it once, then keep quiet!
UNBELIEVABLE, WHAT SORTS OF IDIOTS DO THEY LET INTO THE POLICE THEY ARE REALLY SCRAPING THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL THESE DAYS, AND WHAT SORT OF MENTAL TESTS DO THEY GET TO SEE IF THEY ARE SUITABLE FOR THAT POSITION ? CAUSE HE SURE SLIPPED THROUGH THE CRACKS..SICKENING.
Fuckin cop can't even speak proper English
And apartheid was a bad thing. . .
Don't know how u kept ur cool man!!! Wot a fuckwit cop!!!!!!!!!!!
How frustrating, the cop is obviously mentally challenged,,what an angry crackpot,,he's deranged,,
This Guy is seriously lacking the common sense and intelligents to be a Police Officer. He also cannot control his emotions due to his ego, his uniform has given him an unnatural sense of power.
Is that cop drunk or on drugs
That black man always gunna hate that white man.😢
Awesome video guy's. Want to do Sani pass end of next year into Lesotho😊. Going to have to plan extensively and plan well.
He's clearly just done a gram in one line and canrt handle it.
Does anyone have any idea wtf he was talking about???... this it was probably the result of his mother telling him to eat his breakfast more slowly..
Wtf.. the ultimate ego trip
Lubanzi is one of my most beautiful places to be. I love what you did wtith their community inviting them to feast together. Hope you enjoyed all of the black labels
Thanks so much for the cool message and sorry for the tardy response time!! Lubanzi is a really cool spot - would have loved to have spent more time there - just to chill and explore.
Man you shouldn't have taken that young goat... That is wrong. Just look, don't take
I didn’t just take it - after spending 30min just sitting and watching it, we heard nor saw any other no goats and that side of the cliff. So we dropped it off with the shepherds at the bottom of the hill…
I think he doesn't like the fact the guy is driving a nice car.
