Have actually just bought a suitable vehicle for overlanding - a SWB Pajero - which is getting sprayed etc. at the moment. The plan is to get an off-road trailer and just head out and do my own thing. Looking for support and funding from sponsors has been so frustrating so prefer the flexibility having my own set up will give me. Was so easy to take 30 days during COVID as there was no work but things are back to normal now so it’ll be hard to do a 30 day stretch with my other commitments BUT this is a passion project for me and one I am committed to - we will get on the road again this year - that’s a promise! Also the dogs are getting older…I want to take them on more trips while they still can…
Definitely need to explore more of the Transkei - sadly it remains a largely unexplored area for me! We didnt even get as far a Mazeppa and what we experienced was incredible
