CHICHEN ITZA TOUR - El Castillo, the Ball Court, Platform of the Skulls, Platorm of Eagles & Jaguars
This is a full tour of Chichen Itza with a tour guide. We started in Cancun on a bus tour. Chichen Itza is a 2 1/2 hour bus ride to the west into the Yukatan. Most of the bus tours that originate in Cancun will have a stop along the way to Chichen Itza and another stop coming back, possibly stopping at San Servacio Catholic Church in Valladolid. Our bus went there coming back at Valladolid coming back.
On bus tour stopped at a large giftshop in Chichen Itza which also served a lunch buffet and we stopped at a Cenote. Make sure you take a swim suite and a towell if you want to swim at the cenote. You will also need cash to rent a lifevest.
We had 2 tour guides who did a great job. Miguel is grew up in the town of Chichen Itza and is Mayan. We learned about the human sacrificing, archeology, astrology, Kulkulcan (feathered snake god), and so much more. Make sure to take some cash to buy souveniers at this famous Mayan Pyramid.

Do you have to wait for a guided tour scheduled? How long takes the entire visit to cave of the winds ?
They only do tours, so your ticket will have a time slot on it for that tour time. It lasts around 45 minutes and then it exits into the giftshop. The tour guides do a nice job explaining the history and taking you through the cave, but you have to be on a tour to get in.

If you like a lot of people from Kansas you found the right hotel. Iet me help if you want a great Hawaiian experience. You. The Kaimana beach hotel at diamond head. It has lts own beach. No body in black socks & black shoes on the beach

Do you need to make a reservation for the dining? Also is there a dress code for the dining?
The nicer restaurants like Hunter Steakhouse say they have a dresscode which is long pants for men and a little nicer clothes for women, however we didn't bring any long dress pants so we wore polo shirts for the boys with nicer shorts. But most of the people had on t-shirts with shorts. The main dresscode is no swim shorts. None of the restaurants take reservations unless you're part of the Diamond Club. For the Diamond Club rooms, those come with a butler and the butler can make a reservation for you. For everyone else you have to go when they open and put your name on a list. For example, Hunter Steakhouse opened at 5pm, so we went then and put our names on the list. To do the Hibachi at the Siki Restaurant, they open at 3:00 to take reservations just for the Hibachi only for seating that same night. I got there before 3:00 to stand in line to make sure we got our names to reserve a time for later that night. The food is great. I think you'd be fine with dressy shorts (maybe even cargo shorts) and a polo shirt for guys.

@@aaronfrasher1868 I didn’t film in The Hideaway. Thats the only “adults only” section. All the other Diamond club rooms allow kids. So make sure your Diamond club room is in The Hideaway section and you’ll be good.
