I’d just like to point out the block from #15 at 2:58. Exceptional
Kenyan Drake's run back will always be my favorite. That guy had 2 major gruesome injuries and came back from them both and did that run back.
RMFT.
The thing that kills me the most is saban recruiting 5 stars year in and year out but this dude never recruited a dang kicker not once
Cornelius Bennett.
He had a son that played with Chelsea high-school and he was fast like his Dad , he torched Benjamin Russell high school , but got kicked off the team for making bad choices the next year , Talent gone to waste.
The duce is loose
Congratulations, May God Keep on Blessing you. Roll Tide
Musso always fought for that last, critical yard - never gave up.
It makes you think of what might have been had he not had all those knee injuries! If he had the same mobility in the pros as he had in college, he may have been the best ever! f only they had the surgical techniques back then as they have now, what a shame!
Great era to be a bama fan.
I MISS him. Man he was good. He was really funny, but so dominant.
He was loose 😊💯👍❤️...
Should have said it was the actual year.
Roll Tide 4 life
So many great memories. We really did have it made as Crimson fans.. Hope to keep it going, roll tide!! I only hated having to hear Gary Danielson's voice. What a jackass.
SKOL
Where's Derrick Henry's 99 yard run ?
apparently- Bama played Vandy 18 times while Palmer was at Bama!

Amazing. It's clearer than the Zapurder film isn't it. Maybe they can get back on the man train and show old Joe chewing some Redman during practice. Fucking candy asses nowdays.
We witnessed an era that will never be repeated. Simply phenomenal. If KDB’s Tide teams get anywhere close we’ll be onto something special again!
Johnny Musso is my dad. I have spent the better part of 25 years trying to track down film of him playing. Before I saw this highlight clip the only run I have ever seen of his was one plat against USC. I have spent most of my life bumping into people who tell me about him as a player but to see it for myself... it is awesome. Thank you. If you know of anywhere else I can get film of his, please contact me.
That’s awesome to hear. Thanks for the comment! I get my old footage from a TH-cam channel named ‘Bama rewind’. Go to that channel, click on the playlist tab, then scroll until you get to the Bear Bryant era playlist. It will show you all games that have footage from way back then, sorted by date. There is plenty of footage of games that your dad played, the best highlights are in this video. Glad you liked it!
Here is the link to the playlist containing all available game footage: th-cam.com/play/PLQ51X1311ta6PkvfP9l8Hh5naAzHgMn--.html&si=xbpbnglKXgZpCV0R
@@downsouthhighlights Thank you! This is great. I look forward to watching some old games
@bradmusso2942 you’re welcome, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! Roll Tide!
An exciting reach into the past. Well deserving of recognition.
A shout out to Cecil Isbell who threw 27 TDs to Hutson in 22 games in 1941-42. He retired after 5 seasons at the end of 1942. If he hadn’t and played with Hutson for the last three of Hutson’s career, he could’ve been a HOFer as well.
My brother use to use Alabama (SEGA), and Palmer would go OFF!
Bet those were the days. Hopefully they import past teams into this new game
@@downsouthhighlights yes 100
Thought i was trippin but there is a vibration each catch
Finally something got posted for the Man Musso . Thanks for posting this .
You’re welcome!
Nice vid but “Sleep Walk” was a poor choice for the soundtrack. Too low energy and the song came out in 1959 - more than a decade after Hutson retired.
I know. Didn’t want to use an old song nobody was familiar with though. Might revise this video
@@downsouthhighlights nah… it’s cool. Don’t listen to me I’m a music snob Karen. Thanks for the awesome clips. Hutson was an incredible athlete that NO one gives enough credit to.
@brianfergus839 thanks man!
Love it so much!!!
Two time All-American
The Yeldon play to win against Lsu came about midnight. Never been so exhausted and happy!
Great player with great speed. A teenager in the late 70's, Major was my favorite college football player of all time.
Julio, Coooooop, Ridley, Juedy, Ruggs III, Devonta Smith, Waddle, Metchie, J. Williams were all different. Who is the next special WR/WRs for Bama gonna be? I’m betting on Hale and Williams. Also Smitty was the best route runner as well. Juedy was best after catch. Reminded me of Ridley/Cooper. Rtr!
When college football was college football..
He was one hell of a player Roll tide Roll.
The over the head catch you don't see very much these days. A thing of beauty. Elroy Hirsch made a number of his catches like that. Very difficult to defend against.
It's great to see Joe run
epic luv it broadway friggin joe
Before the knees went
These fools saying namath was overated they didn't throw the ball alot back then especailly at bama it was run the ball play defense Joe namath was hell of an athlete
Wow, Namath was great and what a runner ! Too bad his knees got damaged . He was one tough guy !
Wow the Snake is so young and vibrant here. He was always a winner.
Joe’s idol was Johnny Unitas
He threw beautiful arching passes with accuracy.
Joe was a great QB on the college and pro levels but if I had to go the length of the field with no timeouts I'm putting my money on "THE SNAKE"
Broadway Joe had some legs back in college football.
