    Excellent video. I am a great fan of carryon only especially for cruises. I searched the net and found several dresses that are silky fabric and reversible so 2 dresses give me 4 nights on the dressier cruises. And they don't wrinkle. I do use packing cubes after a couple of TSA searches (even with TSA and every other clearance program). That way if they do random screen my luggage, nothing spills out on to the table where everyone else's stuff has been.

      I find less wrinkles when I use the bundle method vs. rolling up items. That said, if space is very limited (like packing a personal item only) or if you will be moving around a lot and it's not practical to unpack, rolling might be a better option.

    We are using a version of this for a trip to see family and the airline only includes a personal item. But for a beach vacation, 3 swimsuits are essential for our family. We swim in the morning and usually again at night. Then a dry 3rd bathing suit to start the next day. I’m not a fan of rewearing bottoms, especially in warm weather, but sometimes it’s necessary. I’m team packing cubes for carryon luggage!

      For a month long trip definitely pick neutral pieces that will all coordinate with each other. If packing in a carry-on with the 54321 method, I'd plan on doing laundry once a week. Here's what I'd do: 5 tops (all breathable like athletic fabric or Merino wool, 2 long sleeve, 2 short sleeve for warmer days or layering, and 1 light sweater or hoodie). 4 bottoms (maybe 1 pair of jeans, a pair of leggings, and 2 pair of joggers or athletic-type pants like hiking pants). 3 outerwear pieces (a medium weight coat, a warm coat, and a waterproof jacket). 2 shoes - comfy sneakers and then a sturdy pair of shoes or boots, maybe waterproof or hiking style boots. For the singles, definitely include a hat and gloves, and then things like pajamas, underwear, maybe a small backpack in place of a purse, etc. I hope this helps! It sounds like you have a fun adventure planned. 😀

    I used this formula for a recent two week trip. One week travelling around Italy and one week on a Mediterranean cruise. I packed five tops, four bottoms (including shorts, skort, and a skirt), three scarves, two dresses and one bathing suit. It all fit in a commuter style backpack. With the accessibility was good for everything from a city tour to formal night on the cruise. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough but it was perfect. • @elinordrake9716
    @elinordrake9716 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think Chat Gpt is great for coming up with tasty recipes & meal plans, but only if you are doing it purely for taste & are not specific on the nutritional contents or fat/carb ratios. Last week, I was using Chat Gpt to come up with some 3:1 and 4:1 keto recipes. The recipes looked super tasty but something seemed a bit odd. When I checked them more closely I realized they were in No Way whatsoever either 3:1 or 4:1 keto, but rather, barely even a 'normal' keto or atkins type meal plan. I told it that those were Clearly not 3:1 or 4:1 ratio's, and the AI said, basically, Apologies, upon closer inspection, those are NOT the correct ratio's. It then gave me adjusted menu's but had I not been checking them, I'd have had no idea. Those recipes would have reduced my ketosis by quite a lot, which is important as I use 3:1 & 4:1 to combat brain fog. So, yes, AI is a good suggestion for getting Ideas for recipes, but I would not use it without re-checking it. For me, it ended up being not worth having to check everything it said for accuracy. I've also had several other instances when I have used AI to research things, and found that it completely misread very important research information so was just plain wrong. For instance, I have Fructan intolerance & yesterday it told me that fructans were high in fructans according to MONASH. On the monash website, it actually said that there were almost NO fructans in blueberries. Clearly, from the above comment, I still use AI, but I take it with a cup of salt at this point rather than a grain.

    • @ThriveAfter55
      @ThriveAfter55 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It's really disappointing that you were given the wrong information, especially when you're trying to stay in ketosis and trying to manage health conditions. I'm glad you double-checked the information. I like how AI can spit out ideas and suggestions quickly, but the lesson learned is to always confirm with a reliable source. And with Google's latest search updates it is getting harder and harder to find the specific information we're looking for. 🙄 Are you getting good results minimizing brain fog with keto? I've done keto in the past but that was when I was less brain foggy than I am now, lol.

    • @elinordrake9716
      @elinordrake9716 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ThriveAfter55 Hello, I feel like I have significantly less brain fog when I'm in moderate to high ketosis. (I use a finger stick meter.) My short term memory is better & I find it easier to problem solve. I also have almost no inflammation type pain in my body at higher ketosis levels. (I used to think I had the worst arthritis Ever.) And I have rebuilt some of my stamina, for the first time in about a decade of gradually declining muscle strength & endurance. Lastly, I don't have dandruff anymore, my nails need trimming all the time, & I have to color my hair really often as its growing better than it has since my 20's. The first thing I noticed cognitively was mood related. I think of myself as an overall optimistic person, but I realized one morning in bed, not too long after deliberately keeping in at least moderate ketosis, that I felt Exceptionally happy upon waking & that it seemed really easy to plan the day ahead, despite still being in bed, sans tea, breakfast etc. And then I realized that I'd been waking up feeling a bit Meh for who knows how long, but simply not noticing because it had crept up so gradually. Now I can tell a difference when I'm in higher ketosis. Everything is clearer & I just feel more...smiley? BUT, I will say that I had no such results during the rather long time that I was doing a 'normal' keto diet. & I would definitely not suggest anyone try 3:1 or 4:1 keto without a dietician who knows how to do that sort of thing. Especially since not everyone needs to do that level necessarily. I tried the 3:1/4:1 (the ratio changes according to what I have around the fridge) because traditional keto seemed like it was on the right track, but my results were not very strongly positive. It could be easy to fall into some sort of eating disorder w/the more medical grade ketos I suspect. Chris Palmers website has a couple of dieticians who specialize in medical keto. I've not read his book 'Brain Energy' but it sounds good & I keep 'meaning to' read it. lol. I will absolutely not say that a medical grade keto diet has cured my neurological & cognitive symptoms, but they've improved a Ton & nothing else has changed other than my going on this version of the diet. :) I'm very lucky in that I love meat, butter, cheese, etc. & I'm allergic to a lot of fruits & veg so it's probably not nearly as difficult for me to eat this way than many people.
