My Grandad had the Eagle Vaults in RoseVale from the 20s to the late 60s
Born in Melrose Avenue in 1964. Unfortunately never seen a photo of it. Westminster Road school for a while then Mam moved us to Seacombe for an indoor loo. 🙄 If anyone has any Melrose Ave photos would love to see them. 😃

I remember the silver jubilee celebrations, it was amazing, everyone had a great time 🙂
1:00 oh wow, I used to play here, we liked climbing up the wall and generally hanging about on the steps. 1 guy who worked there took me home to me mum. I got caught opening and closing the depot doors so was dragged to me mum by the ear 😄
Went there today. Thanks for posting. My my grandma Lizzie had a Greengrocers on Breck Rd and my Dad Ernie took it over. Bob Paisley used to have a cup of tea with my grandad in the greengrocers before a match. They were friends. Many of the footballers used to pop in for fruit then and chat. Littler used to look after the shop when my grandparents qent on holiday. Happy days, so different then. My grandad even had his Welsh Cob, Tommy, grazing on Liverpool's ground during the war.
Never made it to the El Toro, the Gaslite, or the Paradox but all of the rest bring back happy memories :)
Did my 2 year YTS at the Burton store on the corner .after getting off the 60 bus ...i used to love the walk of a morning from rice lane flyovver up county road passed all the shops and pubs .....best chippy in the world was a few shops down from the royal oak
