Would like to share my riding comparison between Velotric Fold 1 and one of its cheaper major competitors like Ride1Up Portola. Both ebikes I purchased very recently and pedal them about 80 mi each before providing w/ this info. Once I switched Velotric F1 to class 3 e-bike (allowing 28mph when pedal-assisting) most importantly than the max speed is actually how the torque power changed successfully for every PAS level. What happened is described very briefly - every one PAS level even otherwise the not noticeable PAS 1 or 2 increased its power when pedaling, and became so noticeable that I was able to pedal variety of terrains, including very short but steep uphills only using Velotric F1 PAS 1, incomparable advantage over Portola. Later even switched to Class 3 from Class 2 e-bike operation is forcing me going up steep hills especially to switch to PAS4 or 5 in order pedaling to get over the hill without much effort. The same observation is valid comparing Velotric F1 with other cheaper competitors like Aipas A2 and Lectruc XP 3.0 step-thru e-bikes. Being able to pedal practically everywhere without the need to switch to higher more-battery consuming PAS level or throttle - the outcome pedaling and saving more battery from discharge longer than Portola, Aipas A2 and Lectric XP step-thru.

Very interesting video and good analysis. I think e-bikes are early in their evolution, and we will see lots of changes. One of your commentators mentioned history as a great teacher, and I think he is right. With motorcycles there was a lot of experimenting with motor position until most motor bikes go with centralized motor. (Exception: scooters) E-bike are different but it may be that we see: -centralized weight BATTERY and motor - a drive train specialized to take the added torque -gears to adapt to terrain perhaps like the CVT transmission But I am wildly speculating...one thing I have learned, the BATTERY and CONTROLLER are central to the e-bike and not just a gas tank as on a motorcycle. Exciting times in terms of evolution.

Thanks for the quick look! Your point about handlebars well taken and could easily fix for what u need for your riding. I wonder if you got a seatpost with set-back of a few inches if it would fit you better as you have long upper legs like a lot of racing cyclists? Would give you more room for arms too but might need a different stem or handlebar.

Besides a great review by Ms Latina, first time I have heard of this ebike. Bike looks great, appears to ride great, and similar speed of the Goat ebike. Part of the fun of her videos, is how much fun and enthusiasm she puts into them. Curious what the price of the ebike is and how does it compare to the Goat ebikes. Have to admit, Ms Latina has great legs too. The bike co is located in Austin, Tx. Close to where I live. May go there to check the bike out.

I already comment to a poster but basically I know of Lectric owners who own them a few years at least when I realized they had them when I got mine at idk over a year ago. So idk at min 3 year old but possibly older. And ebike technology grows so quick really they have something that is an antique from Lectric. I spoke with him about it yesterday literally and he is still happy with them. So you cant go wrong with Lectric from what I personally hear from actual owners. Great video and ty for production quality! :D

For someone who isn’t a diy type this is probably a good choice. Good customer service I hear and Good price for sure. Definitely “good bang for the buck” especially with the extra freebies. Nice bunny hop-in. 😉…. Time for a ride.

Class 2 is limited to 20mph, not 28. Not in any state that I'm aware of and DEFINITELY not in Texas. Not sure why Ristretto continues to make that claim. Class 2 allows a throttle which this obviously has and Class 3 does not. But making the claim that it's a 28mph Class 2 is nonsense and they need to stop doing this.

Thank you for the first impression ride, looking forward to the full review. It's nice that Lectric is now offering a 26 inch ebike. That's a lot of bike for the money and for $99 more you can add a suspension seat post and a wider seat. That front fork is very impressive and the overall weight of the bike is not too bad for a 26 inch frame and it can hold up to a 330 lbs. load. This bike can be used for commuting and it's really suited for off road. I like your idea of removing the rear rack for going off-road. The only downside I see, so far, is the handle bar level. It could use an adjustable handlebar stem. It looks okay for off road use where you put more weight over the front fork for more control but for longer commuting you may suffer some wrist fatigue. I'm sure you will give us the whole scoop on this one in the full review. You put a lot of time and effort into these ebikes with riding, filming and film editing. You tell it like it is, good or bad. We viewers appreciate your honesty and the bike companies can improve their products from your experience and honest input. no way that seat is comfortable

This bike is good! But most ppl are complaining that they are waiting for the bike forever, plenty of ppl are waiting for refunds as they are saying restretto is just postponing their delivery since last Christmas. It may not be a scam, but these guys are not gonna deliver any time soon. Also this excuse that "oh we are not rushing we are talking our time" is total crap! These guys are basically using the order payments to manufacture their bikes! If they really care so much about the quality then first do all tests before promising a delivery date that you will eventually not stick to. Idk man doesn't sound very professional to me.

I had a 50km trip yesterday (mid speed) and it took half the pack.. so i guess 100km is possible

company has a superb customer support via direct WhatsApp chat... as example they send me how to reset trip meter (without resetting odo meter!)... that was missing in manual
