Any idea what would cause hookup A to not get cold? I just set up the 3 zone and zone b and c get ice cold, the copper outside near the fan is ice cold to the touch if I poke past the insulation. But zone A, the bottom most hookup, the copper is the temp. Of the air and inside it does not blow cold.

For the outside unit, if you have grass is a concrete pad getting poured required? I cannot mount on the side of my home as it is brick. I saw a ground stand recommended by Amazon, but I was curious if you have used the ground stand if installing on grass or not. Thank you!

Man watching this right now trying to figure out if im going to hire a company or not for a 2 wall and 1 ceiling mount to one condenser max run is 23ft so im ordering 3x30 ft runs from the head unit to the condenser. Gotta have 220 run but that's no big deal we have an electrician. My biggest question was is it all plug and play and it appears to be. You have to make modifications but i like what you did. We have flat roofs and our bill in fla is 600 a month and I'm trying anything to help.

Hello and welcome Jonathan, It is an easy install and the only reason you would need to cut the linesets is if they are to long but you can also coil the additional length if needed. As far as utilities go, these are extremely efficient.

I bought a Della 120 volt, 1800btu online. I had the tools to install it. The unit cost $700. It came with all the lines and electric cable. MY son and I hooked this unit up in 3 hrs. We had put one in for someone else before. I called a guy I knew about my central unit that quit working and he said it would be $7,500 for the outside unit and a A coil. That was a rip off so I went mini split. So I paid $700 my son and I free labor. and a little wire and outside disconnect. Let's say it cost me $800- $7,500=$6700 saved. What a racket these HVAC companies are running. They rank below used car salesmen in trust. For a young guy you could make a living doing only mini splits.

Hey Paul, first thanks for subscribing I appreciate it! We can't bulk all the HVAC into this because there are a lot of them that are honest hard-working people but it is unfortunate that some really take advantage of the situation. I do see where your coming from though. Thanks for watching and the input!

Hi Mr. Adams. By how much smaller did you make the frame against the opening? What is your tolerance? Thank you so much in advance.

Zero on the sides, just butt it up against framing be sure to level, the center is where you will need the gap and I used a 1/2 to 3/4"

This was amazing! I just had a company come and look at my two car garage and they wanted $5000-$8000 to replace my busted tri-folds with standard raising doors!!! No thank you. For that price I think i'll try it myself. Very impressed with your work and explanations. You have a charismatic smile too!

Where does the red wire go? Also, my disconnect has two extra places that your box doesn't have. I have to assume those would be for fused connections. Nonetheless, I removed those and still don't know where the red wire goes (from the whip). The bozo local yokel I had install my ductless simply used the disconnect as a junction box, which is how my motherboard got fried. It's how all the ac guys here do it, which is why I've become a DYIer out of necessity. So, I'm trying to fix this and do things properly. Meanwhile, the various how-to install disconnect videos I've watched do not discuss the red wire, and there are conflicts on whether I treat the load white as hot. I'm way confused. A little help?

I am going to assume that your unit is 120v and not 240v in which case the red wire would be for the 240v so it sounds like the red wire is not hot but an extra inside the whip, you should verify that it is a unused wire and that no current .
