    Sometimes this is the reason, but not always there can be many other phantom drain reasons. Push to drain has happened ok the 2001 to 2007 Version that only had the Integrated Power Module. The fix kit for the Bypass kit is readily available on eBay, and possibly on Rock auto, it is not made by Mopar. There are also probably PC Board files on the internet that allow you to have the board replicated by PCB Way, or other small batch PC Board Manufacturing companies and a list of any components if any, to manufacture your own version of this board.

    I carried out all of the steps you showed us, and it worked last night, but when returned to my car tonight, it was back on again, and the method isn't working this time. What do you think the problem could be?

    • @mikesbackyardmechanic
      @mikesbackyardmechanic 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there! If the service light on your 2nd generation Honda CR-V isn’t staying off after a reset, there could be a few reasons for this: Incomplete Reset Procedure: Ensure you’re following the correct steps to reset the service light. For the 2nd gen CR-V, you typically need to: Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position without starting the engine. Press and hold the trip meter reset button until the maintenance light starts to blink. Continue holding the button until the light turns off. Pending Maintenance Issues: The service light might come back on if there are unresolved maintenance issues. Check if there are any other maintenance reminders or error codes that need addressing. Battery Issues: Sometimes, disconnecting the car’s battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it can help reset the system1. Sensor or Electrical Problems: There could be an issue with the sensors or the electrical system that is causing the light to stay on. In this case, it might be best to have a professional mechanic diagnose the problem. If you’ve tried these steps and the light still won’t stay off, it might be worth getting a professional to take a look. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing to our TH-cam Channel.

    • @mikesbackyardmechanic
      @mikesbackyardmechanic หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, I assume you are referring to the media system shown in the video. We installed ours on a 2002 Honda CRV which only has cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. So, there was no interface needed with the media system and the existing steering wheel controls on our build. Also, the Sony model we used (XAV-AX1000) does not have a steering wheel control interface. However, there are some Sony XAV models that do have the capability to interface with the steering wheel controls. You can check these out on the Sony website. Hope that helps! I have a couple question!? Is this lift kit and control arms for a 2wd 2003 Honda crv? If I get 2.5 lift for the front and 3 inch in the back, would I have to cut into the frame?

    • @mikesbackyardmechanic
      @mikesbackyardmechanic หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello there! Aerogenics lift kits are compatible with both 2WD and AWD CR-Vs, but make sure to select the appropriate kit based on your specific model year. My guess would be that a 2.5 lift for the front would still probably need a notch in the frame. A 4.5" angle grinder will make quick work of it. Hey thanks for bringing this up. So, Honda only makes their power steering fluid in 12 OZ containers, sooooo, it's not a quart OR pint. It's less than a pint. So, you would need 2 or 3 of the 12 oz containers. WHAT A RIP OFF, can't even give you a full pint/quart. 😆 Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I got a stock 2002 CR-V. Planning on upgrading it. Which route do you think I should go, a lowered tuner type CRV or a lifted outdoor type CRV like yours

    • @mikesbackyardmechanic
      @mikesbackyardmechanic หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice question! I would say that it depends where you live. If you are in the city and do not have access to some off-road areas, I would consider the lowered tuner type. But if you like the versatility of having the ability to literally go anywhere (nice rhyme, lol) with your CRV, the lift will give it to you. Please note that you will lose some gas mileage with the lift. I personally like the lift look and feel when driving. Whatever you decide, ENJOY your sweet CR-V!

    Hello... Other day i had check engine light came on..checked and showed code p06dd .. but I had another thing happened which I noticed is that normally on highway going 100 km /hr my rpm were around 1600 and after the engine light and code they are sitting around 2200 ...can that oil pressure make the rpm affected by it.. ?? Any suggestions will be appreciated

    • @mikesbackyardmechanic
      @mikesbackyardmechanic 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Certainly! Let’s explore the relationship between oil pressure and engine RPM. Oil pressure does indeed change with RPM. It’s created by the oil pump, which circulates oil through the engine to lubricate its components. As the RPM increases, the oil pump operates faster, resulting in higher oil pressure. Now, regarding your specific situation, the increase in RPM you’ve noticed could be due to various factors, including the engine management system adjusting parameters in response to the check engine light. However, oil pressure alone typically doesn’t directly affect RPM. Instead, it’s more related to engine load, throttle position, and other factors. The P06DD diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stands for “Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck Off.” It indicates a detected issue in the engine oil pressure control system. Specifically, the engine oil pressure sensor is sending a message to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that the oil pressure is below the acceptable level, affecting the normal operation of the oil pump. To rectify, you could follow the suggestions in our video, start with an oil and filter change with the correct oil type. Change the oil pressure sensor switch. And finally, if that doesn't work, you may need to change the other oil pressure sensor in the oil pump as shown at the end of our video. However, I would not wait too long to get it serviced, ignoring this code and continuing to drive the vehicle can potentially lead to serious engine damage. This is a great video, very clear and works through problems encountered. I will try to plug my leak with silicone first.

    Thank you so much. I had this problem with my van and I took the fuse out and when I put it back in it still was humming. But I kept taking the fuse out to not drain the battery. After a few times I noticed that it had stopped. So it did work, just took a moment. Luckily all I had done prior to looking this up was get a free replacement battery. I know my van has electrical TMP problems so I looked it up right away.

      Hi, when you say 'size of the rubber seal' what size are referring to? The diameter of the seal?

      @@mikesbackyardmechanic Sorry for the confusion, I have a 2nd gen CRV also, and the rubber seal is missing from the headlight assembly. I tried to find it online but found out they're of different sizes. Do you have the OEM part number of what you installed on your CRV? Thanks you.

    I have a 2005 Dodge caravan and I replaced the spark plugs along with the tubes in my car won't start and I assumed it was the battery but I replaced the battery and now I think it might be my fuel pump but I'm not sure

      Hi, as shown in the video, if you turn in the car off and you still hear the hum of the fuel pump by the rear driver side wheel, then yes, you have an issue with the fuel pump relay switch. If so, please watch the UPDATE video on our TH-cam channel of how to fix. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Would have been interesting to see the pressure readings after charging. I’m guessing, by Honda standards, the system is overcharged. But I have an ‘03 CRV that has had plenty of A/C work, and the A/C has always been a performance downer.

      HI there, so you can actually see the pressure reading after it was charged. In the video, when I initially put the gauge on to demonstrate what to do, the readings you see are post charging. I just want to say that it has now been over 7 years since I did the video and my original charge of the system as I demonstrate in the video... and it is STILL ice-cold A/C with no further adjustment or charging. YESSS!!! I am so glad I figured out this fix, otherwise I would have gotten rid of my beautiful 2002 CR-V a LONG time ago. You can see all the upgrades I did since this video on our TH-cam Channel that you can do to your own CR-V. I Love my CR-V!!
