I’m pretty sure his dad passed away from cancer shortly before writing I Want to Disappear. Those songs were pretty much his way of grieving. Soo, maybe folks should take that under consideration.
@@FlotsamCity damn that fucking sucks, It would also make sense since the energy started slowing down seemingly a few years ago (probably when they found out about the cancer)
You need to read the lyrics as you listen. the first 3 albums are the addiction cd 4 proper dose is about getting clean and struggling with sobriety and cd 5 is about loss and his father's passing man The band the story so far is a project that was probably tied to his old self and he planned to be done with it after proper dose but made a new cd because blink told them they needed new material for the tour they where doing and it all worked out to I want to dissappear (which start to finish makes me so sad about how one day I'll say goodbye to my parents) The reason you like no pressure is he started that band to get away from the heavy shit he was dealing with and to just have fun again with it but if you once again read the lyrics he says things that sound like he's dealing with his dad's health decline And las what does this rant all mean that under all the circumstances I explained he has lived a rough life and he keeps giving everything he has to everyone else these songs are parts of him and he replays that just to give us a good show on top of touring 2 bands at the same time because both tssf and no pressure had dates all over the us and other countries this year if the mans tired it's because he is and in more way then one Thanks Parker for giving us all something to help when our times get dark we arnt as alone as we think I guess ❤
He did the same thing at 2019 Disrupt fest. Dont know the factors as a spectators and I had never seen them in person. I was pumped, but they were a let down that night.
I saw TSSF on warped tour in 2016 and their performance was amazing. Parker was really hyped up and interacting positively with the crowd. I honestly can’t imagine going to show of theirs now.
I'd rather have Parker Cannon sing perfectly than him being out of breath from moving everywhere. Edit: And also he has been having real stuggles with being burnt out and he just lost his father. Just listen to the lyrics.
Corny video, caring about the "energy" of a band on stage should be left to pre teen's that just discovered slipknot. The music is better than it has ever been. Tuff.
Maybe we should not forget that it's actual people performing on stage and not machines. Also he is not in his early twenties anymore. Touring and playing shows every day / every other other day is exhausting. I was at a EU show lately and they sounded great even though Parker did not move much and even sounded off pitch occasionally.
Just saw TSSF last week in cologne. The set lasted for more than 1 hour, they played songs from all of their records. They even played Quicksand as an encore, though I thought they wouldn't play one more song at the end of the set. The vibes might be different to No Pressure, but also the vocals are much harder. Parker performed great, I believe that TSSF just hits different for him than NP after all. The latest album shows that Parker still cares about TSSF, but maybe in a more serious way.
They’re so bad live man. The energy VACUUM takes anything away from how they actually sound live. I don’t like modern TSSF. Under Soul and Dirt for life haha
I lived in a town 36mins from where they’re from I knew people that went to school with him and they said his dad was the biggest influence in his life and was his influence for music. it shattered him. I just think he just needs time to heal and he should be back to his normal self. 😊
Honestly I saw The story so Far at Warped Seattle in 2014 and fell in love with the band’s music. Parker’s aggressive pointing really sold it as well. Great breakup music. Hopefully he gets some peace in life after these harrowing events with his dad
He did this at the Disrupt Festival in 2019 at the Woodlands. I was like, is this the same singer ive seen before? Looked like he didn't want to be there at all.
seen TSSF at outbreak autumn a couple of weeks go he had quite a bit of energy there. i think its barrier vs no barrier shows that makes the difference for him
So I have seen TSSF 2 different times now, so not a lot to go on but Im still gonna say my piece. Saw them headline with mom jeans, microwave, and Joyce manor back in 2022, and I saw them support ADTR this past summer. He is stationary, but both times the man put on a hell of a vocal performance. Ntm he did interact with the crowd the whole time (not in major ways but he did engage) and both times I saw him with a big smile just enjoying being in the moment. I’m hardly one to say how he’s feeling, or anything like that, but I don’t think he’s half assing his shows. I think he’s in his mid 30’s and decided he would rather give the best vocal performance he can, rather than jump around and throw out his old man back. Would I like more movement from the band as a whole? Yeah. Do I still love them? Also yeah
Don’t be a hater man, he prolly feels like he sings better and has more breathe when he’s not jumping around - yes it’s more boring but quality went up.
@@jacobrubinton2144 I’m not being a hater lol I like this band but that doesn’t mean I can’t talk about there stage presence not being the best, I also do mention in the video that he sounds good
Saw them at The Roundhouse in London around 2 weeks ago and I enjoyed the set but it was under an hour and ye his energy wasn't really there but it didn't ruin the show for me personally was more how short the set was
I was actually at the show the first clip is from(can actually see me holding up the phone recording in the clip) I took my girlfriend who isn’t a pop punk fan and both her and I wasn’t massively happy it was only an hour set if that and they had no energy whatsoever the entire show with no fan engagement at all so

The reason you like no pressure is he started that band to get away from the heavy shit he was dealing with and to just have fun again with it but if you once again read the lyrics he says things that sound like he's dealing with his dad's health decline

The music is god, no one said it was bad brother- energy at a show IS important as you paid money to watch a SHOW.

@ Northstar rules
They sound amazing

did it at Disrupt Houston in 2019 too. I was bummed
That’s exactly how they were when I saw them at Reading fest (UK), pretty sure 2019. They were really boring.

This is a Childs opinion.
Its probably because he's sick of that band and acknowledges how insufferable his main fan base is

saw them in sa in july they sounded great
Cant relate. Go to a no pressure show
Is he liam?
