For me as a person working in restaurant since very young preparing your self to pass an exam like CMS level 2 fair enough for the exam and the tasting but to show them that you can do service is bullshit sry, preparing for this service exam doesn't make you better, what makes u better is working and destroying your shoes on the floor in different good restaurants.. wset I believe is better cuz you learn alot so is better to do wset wines,spirits,sake,beers and you are perfect, also wine scholar guild as a school is very good

In the uk in 2022 I had a very different set of wines (all old world european) and it was terrible. There was a gamay that could only be used in cooking. The real horro was trying to cancel and then getting constant emails after cancelling offering me a reduced membership. I am glad to see the ines are now worth it at least in US.

I love my Coravin but why am I constantly changing gas capsules after only a couple bottles of wine? What am I doing wrong? How long should each capsule last?

Unfortunately, it is a global trend that we share in Europe. And not because I think it’s bad that people are drinking less, which is reasonable. Rather, because this trend could destroy some quality producers who are not well enough positioned in international markets

If the fake sugar and fake meat scams showed us during the past several decades, the more altered the natural product, the worse off our health outcomes. Instead of living in denial and drinking a ton of low alcohol wines, just drink in true moderation (<1 drink/day on average). And when drinking, do so with substantive food (fats and protein) to help buffer the alcohol during digestion. Further still, we can always get our fermented products fix by enjoying more Kimchi and Sauerkraut, which are two the most healthful foods in the world! Raised by a Medical Doctor who embodies healthful living and happens to have separate specialties in Immunology/Microbiology and Molecular Biology as well as pioneering work as a Retrovirus Researcher, it became even more obvious to me through the past 5 years that the U.S. Surgeon General and all major bureaucratic heads have no credibility with their arbitrary and capricious pseudoscience non-sense--all of which only benefit their pharmaceutical funders which has all but rendered the previously evidence-based discipline of Science into that of one being led by authoritarian cult-of-personalities who issue subjective diktats that usually do more harm than even no benefit.

This government based propaganda is bullshit. What about those countries { France & Italy } that have septuagenarians and octogenarians drinking up to a liter of wine a day? I admit that maybe extreme but I am selective and enjoy my wine experience. I could care less about non-alchoholic wines but understand why there is a market.

Fun video! Imho German Riesling can be quite a great value when you factor in that single-vineyard, estate-bottled wines from a world-class region are available starting around $30 a bottle.

The store I go to also writes the prices on the bottles with sharpie. The store owner shaves them off with a razor blade.
