Hi, Bill here.
A look inside a gas water heater (p.s. change your anode).
My gas water heater failed after about 8 years. It was leaking just a tad. I replaced it and there are tons of god vids on that but I thought I would post an autopsy for those interested.

I see others say you can't plow snow with a little 2WD quad, well I've been plowing Michigan snow with this little 250 cc Suzuki Ozark for years. Just takes some good rear tires aired down and some weight over the rear axle.

Bike rack on rv bumper? How to support.
Well done, sir. Thank you for sharing.
That is the best one I have seen. THANKS. Travel trailers are such a rip off. None of them are built with quality and pride now days.
Una de las características que me gustan de la Chevrolet Silverado es el gran espacio que tiene su caja de carga.
Nicely done!
I had to pull my water heater out a few months ago, I wish I had known the element was on the inside at the time, I sure would have changed it then cause I have no access from the inside, and it need changed before next trip.
Perfect I think we have the same size garage and I just came across a furnace from a trailer house score!
LOWES is terrible place to shop. Especially for plumbing & water treatment.
Could this hold 130lb kayak?
The cart certainly could, but I think it would make the bike swerve around a bit.
Good idea 👍
This is fantastic!

Absolutely 💯 excellent 👏
Very slick thanks 👍
I would like to know where you got the battery adapter from for the Milwaukee battery it would be well appreciated
If you search for [your brand battery] "power wheels adaptor" on Amazon, you can find ones for almost any battery brand. Just remember, if you wire it directly, make sure your light is good for the voltage range AND that you never let it drain the battery dead because with no low voltage protection, it can damage you battery if you let it go dead.
Here is one example: Power Wheels Adapter for Milwaukee M18 Battery Adaptor 18v Dock Power Connector for Milwaukee 18V Lithium Battery 12 Gauge Robotics a.co/d/cetghpB
You could wire one of these in and set the min voltage to be just above the min voltage of your battery. I did this for a led coleman lamp conversion where i want to let it run all night, but for the snowblower i just make sure to pull the battery before it gets low. Onyehn 2pcs 12V-36V DC Voltage Protection Module Digital Low Voltage Protector Disconnect Switch Over Discharge Protection Module a.co/d/gHNSsv5
Where'd you get the plug at and what's the name of the plug in the part number so I can get this plug thank you I love your video
Amazon. Ensayeer Power Wheel Adapter with Fuse & Switch, 12 Gauge Wire, Compatible with Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery, 1 Pack a.co/d/a6gkIdN
Thats my kind of set-up, very nice😊
That was fun video
Your stator alternator has plenty of voltage but you can use that too the stator has a lot like thirty volts coming out
Perfect setup!!
nice! is it automatic transmission?
No, it's a manual. I am weird and prefer manual. I overrode the reverse lockout so i can just press down on the foot shift to get reverse...leaving both hands on handlebars with one running throttle and one running winch. Much easier than taking hand off to work a gear selector. I think some new autos are adding an override button to left grip so you can hit it to get reverse quick when plowing.
Could you share dimensions for the bike rack?
yo bill, kudos!
My next RV WILL NOT have a Atwood/ Dometic water heater!!!
Great food for thought! Thanks
Nice nice
Outstanding rack you built there.
Need a file on there, no sense having extra gas without a file!
In case you get your bar pinched and stuck make sure to carry an extra Bar and chain. Once stuck unbolt the bar and remove chainsaw and put on your extra Bar and chain and cut out the one that's stuck.
yes, i also carry extra bar for this reason if i dont have a second chainsaw with me that day, but at least this guy has an axe as a backup plan
Great and easy! I love that! i will us my actual kayak wheals!
Thank you for posting. Ugh. 😢
Read some of the other comments....others came up with ways to suck most water out with a shop vac before changing.
Really like this gona build one my self
Also slide a 88 inch pressure treated 4x4 inside the bumper cavity and sctew it on toght to the top and rear. Makes the 1/8 inch thick bumper tube more rigid. You do lose the poop pipe storage though.
👍
Nice job brother especially the crushed proofing I will be using your ideas this weekend😊
Looks real cool man, I just bought a few more bikes and need to move 4 at a time, and looks like this is perfect for us. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, you carry a lot of junk
Wait so does it pivot where it is attached to the bike? If yes, is that good? If no, why not, did you make it that way and how?
The pivot is the fact that I used one hole thru the seat post so the pvc can turn. Since the seat post is at like a 20-degree angle, it will tend to fall back to center (rearward). Pro: the rotation lets the bike absorb trailer sway and makes it more stable pedaling. Con: in braking, it can "jack up," and the nose of the trailer can go to the side. To combat this, I also made a version where the larger outer tube was longer and went all the way to the front stem of the bike. Then I cut a notch for the stem so the outer pvc couldn't rotate at all. This stops any jacking and keeps things straight, but the trailer will sway the bike a bit and make it appear you've had a few pints. Hope this makes sense.
Ah thanks, yeah I'm a bit worried about the braking. After quite some research I think I'm going to use the WeeRide bike hitch instead, with a perforated steel bar or maybe wood.
The moment I realised why the product was called The Dumb Stick I had to wonder if I could make one myself, and yes it seems very possible
That works
How is the Cabels tent in the summer?
Actually, pretty good. You can open the other window flaps if it's not raining, but even with full fly down, if it's hot, we use our 20v dewalt fan on low and it's fine. I would say if you are out west and never plan to do snow camping, then a spring bar tent is probably best. If camping in winter or with lots of rain and storms...the Alaskan Guide tent is great. It does take a few extra minutes of set-up.
Where is the on off switch? I can't find it anywhere
Nice job, just shows going against the grain of what people say isn't always bad. What do you think about a 2WD pulling a ATV trailer loaded with firewood? All the 4x4s I am finding have been used and abused but see some nice 2WD out there but wondering even with good tires if it will pull heavy firewood out of the woods, no mud to deal with, just hills.
It really all depends on where you live. If its really hilly, a 2WD may struggle, but if it's not, a 2WD may be fine. Also if pulling in deep snow or clay mud a 2wd may struggle. With those foot wide bear claws on the back of my Ozark, I have never got stuck trail riding in Michigan with others with big 4x4s. In Tennessee, there were some uphill creekbed trails I couldn't do that the 4x4 guys could...though they struggled too. Other thing is, these are really light, so when they do get stuck, a small wimch or some muscle will get them out easier.
@@billmonroe7328 Thank you for the info. I found a old 2000 model Honda Rancher 350 4x4 earlier this week and got it, over all its in pretty good shape, it does need some work but I will work through that stuff and hopefully be pulling firewood out of the woods soon.
How long does it last
Depends on battery, but i never run a 2.5 amp hour battery low in one use and I typically run around 2 hours.
footprinthero.com/watt-hours-to-amp-hours-calculator#how-to-convert-watt-hours-to-amp-hours-wh-to-ah
Just use link below and put in your light wattage (actual, not "equivalent") times hours you want and your operating voltage to see amp hours you need. The led I used is 12 watt, so 12w x 2hrs =24 watt hrs and at 20 volts thats 1.2 amp hrs, so my 2.5 ah battery is fine for my 2 hour usage.
Nice Bill, thank you for this! I like the idea of using 2 pvc pipes for strength, and appreciate the homemade trailer.
Will be doing something similar, but keeping it within the width of the Atv so when I am driving through the woods, I don’t have to worry about overhangs.
ColeMAN?
Thanks!!
Will this adapter work on any 20 volt lion battery ?
You just need to search amazon for "your brand battery power wheels adaptor" and insert brand of you batteries. They make them for all major brands.
I clear new trails with the chainsaw/ATV for tractor access, your setup looks super easy/efficient, thanks for sharing!
Where is the switch to go to electric on yours? I'm everyone's is on there's mine isnt....
My switch for electric or gas is on my rv panel with the water tank levels. Note that some heaters are gas only.
