Did Prolube Oil Treatment Save My Jeep's Engine? Watch the Results!
มุมมอง 2.5K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I tackle a suspected bad rocker bearing in my 2015 3.6-liter Jeep Wrangler using Prolube oil treatment. I add the treatment, run the engine until it reaches operational temperature, and then take it for a short drive. You'll hear a small but noticeable reduction in noise, showing the treatment's effectiveness. Finally, I reveal the culprit-a worn rocker arm bearing-giving you a c...

Please stop making videos about hidden trails. Before you know it the "rock krawler "and motobuilt trash will rut the trail,or god forbid lightbright and puppy doy off road and chill destroy the trail. Hope the suzk azz trail recon does visit the tail, God forbid we need another overlander on our side of the country
I love Sinking Creek but I've always done it the opposite way, which I believe is the harder way. The first and last 10% are the spicy parts, everything in the middle is just beautiful trail!
It’s an amazing trail, next time we’ll go in the other way.
you ever ride in martin county ky or cabwaylingo wv?
I was in Martin County all day yesterday! And was at Cabwaylingo a few weeks ago…. th-cam.com/video/7OGwx4ZgjfU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=skqHnJenClSZOOpx
I’m truly hopeful that the new trail system will allow licensed full-size OHV vehicles and don’t leave us left out! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That looks like a great time! The assortment of vendor merchandise was excellent.
It truly was a great time! 👍
Certainly gotta to know what you’re doing to tackle these trails.
OMG! That must have been awful without power steering. 😮
It was as horrible!
Awesome video looks like a awesome place to ride.Almost makes me wanna move there
It's pretty special, for sure! 💯
great video, looks like a great area to goto
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
nice mixture of terrain on that trail. is that Mojave running factory JT axles with those 40's?
I believe so 👍
Thanks for the video! Glad I got to meet and jeep with y'all
Glad we could all meet up and hit the trails! 👍
You can always find the mud as East Lynn. It's a great place to ride.
Absolutely! 💯
Love the highlight type approach to the different areas you visited. Any chance you could share GPX files for GAIA or OnX? I'd like to visit that area, but coming from ATL not really familiar with that area. Thanks and great job!
Thanks for watching and we appreciate the support! Visit the “Daniel Boone BackCountry Byway” website and you can download the official map there. It’s a very small fee, but it goes directly into support of the Byway. www.ridethedbbb.org/ Also any map updates/additions made during the year are free after your initial purchase.
I got my jeep all fixed from the bad install of lift, front end and rear gears. I'll be up in a week or so. Looks like you guys had a great time.
It was definitely a good day! Glad you got your Jeep done 👍
Looks like some nice areas to visit. Plan on running some trails in KY in 2025 (KAT and DBBB).
Absolutely 👍 it’s definitely can’t miss destinations! 💯
excellent trail, nice mixture of terrain and view
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the ride! 👍
Good stuff hope to get there soon
You’re going to love it! 👍
those Berries grow all over here in the south Louisiana. Deer love them.
Will it's Bubba, Jake's friend. Good vid luv tha drone shots. That Nook guy should set you up with one lol
@@JimDavis-x3x Glad you enjoyed it! We appreciate your support. Those Nook campers are super nice!
Well this is cool! Glad you could join us! Let us know how you like that Zoleo you won, thinking of getting one.
@@NorthologyAdventures we wouldn’t miss it! Winning the Zoleo was icing on the cake 👍. We haven’t tried it yet, but soon!
Natural bridge is a beautiful area. Looks amazing
It truly is a beautiful and unique place!
Hey there’s Tom! I didn’t know jeeps can ride there. Gonna have to check em out
Tom’s rig is a beast! 👍
@ that is for sure!
Good video. We had a great time and four of us camped that night
Thanks, we had all intentions of camping that night.
@@KentuckyJeeper we had a great time at Bearwallow. Wish you could've made it
The best one that worked for me is Rislone engine oil treatment. Been using it for years now. Try it!
Nice video. Been the Hatfield McCoy system but only had time to hit Bearwallow for the badge. Very scenic though. I may have to hit Cabwaylingo next time
@@sarge502jeep Thanks, I’ve been wanting to go to Bearwallow.
I mainly went for the Jeep Badge. Won't say ever, but most likely won't go back. It's very scenic and overall a well put together trail system. Well marked etc. But the helmet rule kinda ruins it for me. Although it wasn't strictly regulated, just the fact that it still applies doesn't sit right with me. Also the admission is higher than most parks I've been too. Even a lot better parks. Windrock which is a much larger and way better park, admission and even the cost to download their interactive map isn't the cost for Bearwallow. Even if it's good for a year.
@ I feel ya! That’s my thoughts, basically the exact same experience. I’d like to go at least once to get the badge. We haven’t started collecting them yet and it’s the closest to us.
@@KentuckyJeeper we finished bearwallow yesterday. I like it there and the helmet rule. Well I don’t think I saw one there lol
I have a set of that fine China you put those pizza's on!
We’ve got a cabin on the road above the last section of this video. I can always tell when there’s been a Toyota on the trail because there’s so many rocks stacked up.
That’s hilarious! 😂
The animals at the end! I'm impressed with how loud they are!
Yep, those coyotes were super close! Never did see them, but I know they seen us! ❤
I'm from NW Oregon, I've never slept hearing sounds like that. We do have 100ish Coyotes in the area though. I sometimes see, but usually just hear them but nothing like that.
@@kdigiacomo I love it! We heard them like that on the Georgia Traverse and as well at home in Kentucky.
@KentuckyJeeper Doesn't sound scary, would just take a bit to get use to is all.
It is an amazing place, I have yet to record anything there. Great video!
You should absolutely do some videos there! We love the area, and will definitely be back 👍 Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!
Great video Will, going have to check out the Mammoth Cave, drove by it many time never stopped.
@@rogerparsons170 it truly is absolutely amazing! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
how much did it run you to fix ? I have a 2015 jk and it just started ticking .. have 112k miles on it.. did you replace yourself?
I got the parts off Amazon, about $80 for one set of rockers and lifters. Then about $30 for the timing chain tension tools to relieve the pressure on the chain. Yes, I done it myself. Took a few hours because I was being extremely careful not to drop the timing chain into the cover. It’s now been over 1 year and it’s still quite as a mouse. 👍 I really wanted to get the exact mopar replacement parts but my budget wouldn’t allow it at the time.
I shot this footage and completed the repair October of 2023. I just never edited it and posted until recently.
@@KentuckyJeeper thanks for the reply! Yeah mine started ticking about a month ago so I haven’t been driving it.. I’ve liked around and some people are saying it’s like a $1400 job unless you can do it yourself.. I’ve never done that so I’m skeptical of doing it myself..
@@srod2 if you’re mechanically inclined and careful you can do it. But do your research on methods to use. Good to hear you parked it after hearing the tick, you probably saved the cams. As soon as I heard the tick from mine I parked it as well. 👍 I do not claim to be a professional at all, I just never had money to pay a garage to fix my junk. So I had to learn to do it myself. Good luck 🍀👍 This is the method I did…. th-cam.com/video/XkrwxVVcjsg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Xn77s2vSSyCZlzBJ
Aaaahhhh, I’ve been wondering about that bolt fix. Thanks for reporting about it. Loved this entire series. Great job.
So glad you enjoyed the whole series! It was a great adventure. 😜
Bummer on the bent awning. Pretty fancy pizza cooker, never tried one…
It’s all good, just a little tweak to it. Gives it some character. 😂 Coleman oven, works well for baking at camp. 👍
Good video. DBBB is on my short list of trails to run soon. BTW, I like the hood vent, looks good. Also, subbed….
Thanks glad you enjoyed it! You definitely have to hit the DBBB, this only barely scratches the surface of the area. We’re going to have another video up soon with footage from “Overland the Red” And we’ll be hitting some different trails there. Thanks for the support 🙏🏻 very much appreciated! 👊👍
That bush with the bright pink berries is commonly called a Beautyberry bush. Native to southeastern USA. You can make jelly out of the berries. 😊
Wow, too bad you busted that tire. Dag nab it!
I write on mine where I got em but the go back to this location is an awesome Idea!
My can says 2oz per quart. And 1oz per quart for transmissions and differentials.
Hmm, I’m gonna have to go look at my can again then.
I went to the website just now and you are correct. The can says 2 oz per quart of oil. Although down at the bottom of the websites page it states “For best results use 1oz per quart, and for heavy duty or high mileage use 2oz per quart “. 👍
Have really enjoyed the series! Love the music too. Hoping your kids appreciate what you’re doing with the rocks and that someday they enjoy exploring those same destinations.
We appreciate you watching! Glad you’re enjoying our shenanigans 😜. We’re hoping they do too, they’re still young.
Awesome video! That is a wonderful trail!
We truly appreciate the support 👍 Glad you enjoyed it! We absolutely love the Ozark’s ❤️
@@KentuckyJeeper We do too!!❤️
first 2 1/2 minutes is pure gold!
Straight from the heart 👍
Awesome trip brother! Glad you got to complete it!
The trip was a blast! Working on day 5 editing now. I hate my roof rack and brand new brakes were squeaking so bad! 🤬 We will definitely be back for sure👍 we love it there! Thanks for watching.
Good stuff! Just got to do that trail for the first time riding from rendezvous this year. It was twisty
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I’m going to have to put Rendezvous on our calendar to check out.
When was this filmed? When I was down there for RITO it was dry as a bone! What trail was this one? Looks interesting!
Day 2 was Sept 9th. Yea, it was almost completely dry everywhere we went. It was definitely a bummer. I guess that’s the perfect reason to plan a return trip and hopefully 🤞 more water flow 😜 But you can’t deny the Ozark’s are beautiful even dried up.
The dates are scrolled at the bottom of the screen during the beginning of each episode 😜
Another excellent video! I love following you on each day of the OOAT. I’ve always wanted to camp by that water fall but it’s always taken.
It’s an awesome spot, we got lucky. Happy you’re enjoying the series. Thanks for watching 😁
What an adventure! Awesome!
There’s more to come! 👍
Baxter filter adapter got rid of my dry starts but I’ve wanted to try this for preventative
The view at the top is breathtaking but this trip is not for the faint of heart. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
💯💯💯
Glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for more 👍
What part of the traverse is this?
