Yo Genghiskahn! When it comes to fun factor, these numbers do tell a story. According to your analysis, the NBA is avg +30 3pt attempts with an average of 35% 3pt shooting is diobolical! Its literally a shootout competition at this point and its really boring. On top of that, we have refs call a ridiculous amount of techs like teching a home team because the cleaners came in to clean a wet spot on the floor so players wont get hurt. Refs have too much power and the game is too soft now.

The NBA took away post play to give everybody a chance to win by shooting 3s. The marketing side is on the NBA. The league has always promoted the Celtics and Lakers from a team standpoint. Everything else was superstar related.

There’s not many big names left in the NBA anymore, tickets and concessions are crazy stupid expensive. League pass is a scam, because you can’t even watch the games YOU want. Ain’t nobody tryna spend money on sports streaming services and cable anymore. No defense, all 3’s. Theyre not allowed to get physical, like the nba was in the 90’s. To me, the nba died the day Kobe retired and Adam Silver can try all he wants, once you piss the most loyal fans off, you’ll NEVER get them back.

This backward promotion started because someone wants to be goat so bad his Lemedia started bashing 80&90 players. His coach even caught heat for it. This is mainly lebron fault. The problem with the NBA is the current product, not the promotion or comparisons to older generations... if this generation was good, no one would compare it, we would just enjoy it. This generation is trash, they are lazy, entitled, and enjoying the riches built off the previous generation's hard work and sacrifice for the game. They are not worthy!

No one plays for the love of the game, its all one big cash grab. What todays fans herald as Superstars, were soft candy ass athletes of the past. Everyone is out here firing from half court, No one is showing up for war, NO ONE PLAYS DEFENSE!!!!. The NBA is trash. I prefer MVPs to be on the All Defensive teams, but nooooo lets give it to players who cant play both sides of the ball.

The reason the NBA is failing is because of the rule changes, the entitled players, the non competitive play and the horrible All-Star game. It has nothing to do with the past.

The NBA is failing because they got away from the original concept the original concept was inside out. David Stern the previous commissioner of the NBA thought the league had to change because the NBA was getting too dark thus the importation of European players who cannot play man to man defense on the NBA level. And this is the result shooting 3's from everywhere and zone defenses.

The public has been oversaturated with the game! The novelty has worn-off. Games are ALWAYS on tv and there's a "been-there, seen-that" mentality. Diehards w cont to watch but, no rule changes/promos will alter anything moving forward. You can't rejuvenate what's already dying!

I don't really have an answer for why it's failing, but for me, I get tired of the same conversations around the game all the time, and the unending worship of LeBron James. I'm tired of hearing about who someone thinks the GOAT is all the time, and why. I don't care anymore. I'm more entertained by Inside the NBA (which I'm glad has been rescued by ESPN through a licensing deal) than actual basketball.
