Thanks for the gems. I was struggling with the tonality of my 808s last night but I was using sampler original instead of optimized and using the tuner plug in to give me information while I adjusted the knobs on the sampler. Thanks man!

I have all my 808s tuned to C then turn on the transposer to whatever the root note is of my melody, is this a correct way of getting 808 patterns that will be in tune

Everyone's doing these videos but never seem to mention what happens if you bring it into the quick sampler and the root key says c3 but when you pull up the tuner in metering and it says G# when you push the C key on your keyboard. In other words how do you tune the 808 if the tuner says something different from what the sampler says under Root Key..

Can you help, firstly you video's are very helpful. Q: when i go into record mode on Mashine slaved to logic 9 the sound changes in fact it will go from c3 to c1 so it does not record or play the same as when not in record function.

Yo this helped a lot! Ive haven't used logic in forever but now Im going to. For anyone thats using the 2.0 software, in order to change the outs just go to the mixer channel within maschine. its the little slider picture next to whatever you named your project. From there its at the bottom of each pad and its called EXT. 1, 2, 3 etc. (instead of out 1, 2, 3)

Fantastic tutorial! Question: does anyone know how to apply effects created in Maschine on the imported patterns once they're in Logic? Example: In Maschine, I used an ambient sound from Prism which is set to Pad 1 in Group A. I then added a HP Filter and an Ice effect onto this sound. Now I've imported this Prism ambient sound as MIDI into Logic's arranger as shown in this tutorial. I now want to arrange the 2 effects created/edited in Maschine in Logic's so that they come in half way through the song and then fade out. HOW?!!??!

Hey man thank you for the video but I followed all the steps and my Logic pro is not picking up my sounds through maschine. I did all of the routing right and set each sound to output 1, output 2, etc. Let me know if I can do anything to make it work.
