I remember seeing a mock-up of an iPod/Nintendo DS mashup and it looked so cool
Yayyyy xbox 720 is still being mentioned all these years later. That thing was one of the biggest memes of its time, and we didn't even know what a meme was yet.
Don’t forget the dolphin shower curtains
I miss the see through stuff use to have a a lot of rock candy controllers
how come I barely remember seeing *any* of this? was it exclusively American or something?
Personal opinion. Hate all aesthetics of the 20s. To eco friendly and aiming at making a blend of nature and machine. Personally like only the aesthetics from 1930's to 50's where the idea was we are going to wrangle nature to our will using machines.
I would like to live a future that looks like this.
For me I was too young to understand what was going on at the time for me I was barely 4 and a half years old when the year 2000 started. I was too focused on kindergarten fun, childhood wonder, toys and Saturday morning cartoons!!! I didn’t have video games growing up so I didn’t have a chance to play both the ps2 and Xbox. I never noticed everything being chrome in media and technology during this time lol. I love the see through stuff like computers or calculators at school. The old gaming graphics in the 2000s had their charm like the NES or ATARI games. Some were crap but so were the games that came before them there are good and bad games same with graphics. The fashion during the 2000s were interesting especially when the turn of the century happened but I didn’t have style growing up. I didn’t have a lot of money to get a lot of designer clothes and I just got simple clothes. It was a truly interesting tume
Very awesome video!
Thank you
What’s crazy is, the richest of the rich, had maybe a net worth of $600 million at the absolute most. Fast forward literally a decade or two later, & now we have no idea how much money they have because they store 50% of it in offshore accounts & only tell the public that they have a couple billion.
What's the music that starts playing at the beginning of the my thoughts section? I love it so much
It’s ok. I’m pretty sure in 2030 people will look back at 2020’s and say they were very weird.
I wanted those 2012 iPhones 🫣
I remember being about 10 and thinking "wow, did these people get a massive concussion and are high on pain pills?" Seriously, some people have no clue what goes into designing a computer or its chassis.
Apple killed innovation.
I used to spend so much time at that PlayStation store in San Francisco so much before going to a movie at that mall
This is literally the coolest aesthetic to me.
i think this is the part where frutiger aero hype becomes makebelieve nostalgia. i remember when frutiger aero was everywhere, and i strongly believe these icons would have been a lot different... it's a nice creative exercise! but i dont think this answers the question, "what if we still used frutiger aero".
Mario Sunshine
They really should have called the Xbox One the 720.
It sounds cool but i cannot imagine if they would double the number each time Imagine calling ps4 xbox 6960
Because the Matrix

The reason why the future feels different is because what else is there? In 10 years we will carry black screens around, have social media and streaming services and computers, TVs that are about the same size and simplistic like today. Where do we go? In fact the world of technology doesn’t feel or look too different to 2014. Maybe the Apple vision is where we are going. I think it’s sad but it is what it is.
I feel like if we, as a society, embraced this eco-futuristic idea of living in harmony with nature instead of pushing it aside with modern, minimalistic themes, it would push the narrative to save life to future generations that need to hear it.
Oh my God. I miss my dreamcast and Ps2
i used to quote his one video that’s like “then i get a little sugar in me then i go cuckoo, i go wacky” DAILY until that idubbz video came out and i realized within the first 10 seconds that it was indeed the same person. i still say it sometimes but it no longer hits the same 😔
The early 2000s were known as the Y2K era (from around 1996 to 2004), while the rest of the 2000s until 2012 were characterized by the Frutiger Aero aesthetic. These two aesthetics share some similarities but are not the same at all. People who miss Y2K will always specifically reference the early 2000s, and people who say they miss "the 2000s" usually mean the latter half of that decade.
Take me back to those days again! Another thing about chrome things, everyone seemed to be getting silver coloured cars back then too! I really miss the clear technology phase. I wish there was a clear Nintendo switch! Really good video! Thanks for taking me back and also showing some stuff I hadn’t seen. That PlayStation store looked awesome!
Nothing looked worse than the 2010s. 2000s were kinda fun
Someone made a portable gamecube based on the one seen in this video

I would do literally anything to have been a teenager in the late 90s/early 2000s

Fuck yeah hot wheel velocity X I got that for Xmas back in the day and we had to buy a whole new computer to run it. My parents rock
My parent would share video's like the one in 5:15 via the black berry massager (BBM) all the time saying this would be the next big thing. What's funny is that there was a Samsung Android device that has a build in projector called samsung galaxy beam around that time.
Honestly the Semen phones look very visually interesting, but i understand why they failed.
