When using 8:2 cotton, warp double as usual ONLY WARP SLOTS AND HOLES AT THE SAME TIME and get later warping out of the way! The 8:2 cotton doubled in the warp will give the equivalent of I 8:4 with great body!

Love your instructions but I also only get 4 double stitches on ea side plus row 10 and 11 are both purl! Is there a correction? I have most recently downloaded this pattern 9/6/24.

I love these socks but find the pattern hard to follow. The video doesn't match the pattern . I get 4 double stitches on each side not 5. I'm about to give up. Sorry have a good day

This was wonderful! None of the other instructional videos or print outs I saw showed what to do after you removed the loom. I knew there had to be more. There had to be some step to manage a row full of loose hoops from the hooks. I'm so excited to fix my sweater and my first hand-knit socks!

Not to encourage you, but I find building a floor loom is less expensive than buying a commertcially made loom. How are you at swinging a hammer and cutting things?

Another better way to fix a broken warp is to remove the broken warp and replace it with a new (longer) warp thread. Weight it at the back of the loom. This way you can overlap the woven section of the warp and the new warp and not have any knots.
