This was wonderful! None of the other instructional videos or print outs I saw showed what to do after you removed the loom. I knew there had to be more. There had to be some step to manage a row full of loose hoops from the hooks. I'm so excited to fix my sweater and my first hand-knit socks!

Not to encourage you, but I find building a floor loom is less expensive than buying a commertcially made loom. How are you at swinging a hammer and cutting things?

Another better way to fix a broken warp is to remove the broken warp and replace it with a new (longer) warp thread. Weight it at the back of the loom. This way you can overlap the woven section of the warp and the new warp and not have any knots.

From my own experience using a cotton blended with linen make for a towel/washcloth that is so much more absorbent than plain cotton. It is more expensive but weaving for myself I feel it is worth it. My current weaving is mostly viking period techniques and products. Backstrap, card weaving and warp weighted weaving. Some spinning as well.
