I really like that idle sound when you start it
Hello how are you doing? Are you saleing this Cadillac? If so what are you wanting for?
we had a real good one at the mchine shop. green n white.
I drove that exact model car - an 81 Buick Century Limited sedan years ago (over 30 years ago in fact, hard to believe) but it had the 3.8L V6 in it. I remember those gorgeous super comfortable seats, how well the car rode, the silver rectangular gauges, etc.! It did not have a tilt column or power windows though. And it did not sound like that when it was cranking or running - it was very smooth and quiet. We really liked that car! It was the only car I remember being so comfortable I could fall asleep riding in it! The paint on this looks like it's in incredible shape! I don't think i knew you could even get the diesel engine in one of these. I remember the options being the 3.8L Buick V6 and the 4.3L Pontiac V8. If you got a station wagon you might have also been able to get the 301 Pontiac V8 (4.9L). The Buick Century only looked like this in 80 and 81. The equivalent coupe was the Regal. Starting in 82 this body style sedan became the Regal as well because they came out with the new front wheel drive Century that year.
Great cars, had several over the years, presently 3 Cadillacs, two Oldsmobiles and a 80 Chevy pick up, all factory 5.7 diesels and in excellent condition.
Beautiful car! And love the sound. Sounds like a huge old truck.
How long have you have that car?
Smooth car
ok, please forgive my dumbness, i am just curioous as time goes on old cars after you tuned up the car getting it ready for the next trip whether its summer summer winter or fall and its diesel is it always going to be so loud? is it my imagination? is it just a case of a new nuffler?
Now that’s a caddy
I'll take 10
Do you still have the Buick diesel?
Sold it earlier this year
Man I wanted this car! Did you just ask Kevin if he would sell it? Man I love this car. Do you still have it?
I bought it from a mutual friend of Kevin's. I sold it March 24 to another Olds Diesel enthusiast here in Iowa
Oldsmobile Diesel is my guiltiest pleasure.
What model year?
What a beautiful automobile.
its beautiful, how many blown head gaskets has it had?
None to my knowledge
Very helpful
Glad to hear that
Let me know if you ever want to sell the 66 hubcaps
I still miss my '64 GMC V6 -- don't let yours go!
💎 I have a 1983 Buick Electra Park Avenue sedan in KCMO 816 has 98,000 original miles has 4.1 liter 252 cubic inch V6. light blue paint with Navy blue full top & velour pillow seats VERY CLEAN 99% rust free!!!! She needs some TLC 💎
Sounds like it's a beautiful car!
@@kylescarfarm yes very beautiful just needs some minor work: new top, bumper fillers, paint, carburetor rebuilt, AC repaired, I’m very picky I like my vehicles PERFECT to the average person or eye 👁 they say man this thing is beautiful it doesn’t need paint or a top well to me it does 🤣🤷🏾♂️ those minor flaws BOTHER ME... I just replaced my EL LIGHT on the dashboard bezel that reads PARK AVENUE glows in the dark at night $15 part & 2 hours of my time easy fix
i love diesel cars
Sounds very similar to the 1980s Scania V8 truck engine.
Three on the tree, Armstrong steering, Legstrom brakes--gawd, how I hate the "basics" of the time..!
I hit that mechanism with the two cables and push but the door still don’t open any ideas
One of the cables may have broken or detached
it sounds like a WW1 plane engine idling
...or an International diesel of the same era
That old diesel clack is music to my ears. Reminds me of my old ‘83 Mercedes 300TD. I used to love to dump a thick black cloud of rolled coal on pesky tailgaters! 😁😁
That's a beauty. Very nice keeping it in the family. Thanks for sharing ! 👍👍👍
Only thing is.. I personally would’ve kept the wire wheel covers !
BUT.....HOW do you do this on a 3rd gen Sienna ( 2016).....where the BEZEL around the handle is NOT REMOVABLE......but is common and PART OF the complete interior door panel ?????..... Arghhhh !!!!!
Just acquired a 2015 so I may have a video on 3rd gens someday
We have a 2013. Barely open and wouldn't close fully. Tried everything on the internet to fix it. No luck. Came across your video by searching "How to brute force open toyota sienna power door". I was at the point we were going to get it open no matter what. You were on the second of three pages. We couldn't pop off the handle cover, so we had to slowly use a small bit and wrench to get the phillips screw out. Took 30 minutes. Popped it open and although the 2013 looks different than the one in the video, we saw what to do. It did not work. Silly us had the power enabled for the door. As soon as we turned the power button off it OPENED! We wept with joy. This happened to a 2008 we owned and NO ONE could fix it and we got rid of the car. THANK YOU for taking the time to make the video. It saved our Sienna.
Glad it helped!
I was told years ago the plaid valve covers were only put on the 351 V-6. I know there were several cubic inches motors. The 305, 351, 402, and a 478. They also built a 702 V-12. It was a solid cast block, but had four heads on it. I don't recall the HP, I want to say it was around 325, but the torque was over 600.. GM designed and built all their V-6 motors to run for 500,000 miles.
Plaid Valve Covers only came on random 1963 305E to my knowledge
Love that sound
I gather they were pretty slow . 120-130km/h would likely be top speed??
That would about 80 MPH and they will go a little faster than that. The most disappointing part is the slow acceleration.
I learned to drive in one very similar, my Mom's 1977 Electra 2-door. Hers was dark blue with light blue landau top. It was a lower trim level though. I wouldn't mind finding a clean version!
Be honest... it was just the batteries.
😆
I’m so sad. I did this and pushed that part but it didn’t work. The door is still stuck shut. I can’t afford to buy another car.
Keep trying! Hope it works for you!
You are a genius thank you
Glad it helped
That's Kool enjoy your grandfather's 63 GMC for many years thanks for sharing with us
Do you happen to be in Classic GM FWD Society? Saw that 1987(?) Toronado.
Yes that's one of my favorite groups! It's a 1990 Toronado
Always wondered what happened to this car after Junkyard Digs was done with it. It really cleaned up nice. Probably only need a few things like the tail lamp lense and the mirror.
GM really shit the bed when they made this diesel engine
Is this for sale ?
Love your video. I have my G-father’s ‘63, stepside, grand 4 speed, K1500, 3/4t, 4x4, 305E V6, w/ the original winch on the front & PTO out the rear - all still functioning. Has a 5:1 gear ratio front & back and was really a farm implement on our land in central Texas. Still have those same white dog-dish hubs😊, and evergreen paint. It has 78K original miles on it. It too was garaged and now resides in my garage here in Tulsa. Too many great memories to regale here, but I think of him everytime i walk out in my garage. That great smell of American iron & engine….so very good!!😊
Wow that truck sounds like real workhouse! Thanks for sharing!
@@kylescarfarmHow is it that the plaid valve covers look to be in such great condition as old as they are?
Such a nice car, inside and out
Hey Kyle, I actually "owned" this car for a summer before It was once again given back to Kevin. I drove it for a summer as a field checking car and gravel cruiser. It's awesome to see this car back running again. I hope you have been enjoying it, should definitely keep making videos on it
That explains all the dust inside! Glad you got some use out of it!
Looks great! Well done sir, glad to see this one lives on!
Those videos you did of this car are some of my favorites of yours. A 100% unloved model and it's still kicking. Like my 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity Euro CL.
Can't believe how fast that oxidized! Looks awesome again
Somehow I never saw this until now😂 I SEE the dam belts STILL SQUEAK
😅 I fought that same issue too! Made it better but that water pump pulley is so bent!
Very cool old truck, that's wild about the valve covers ! If I was going to fix up a pick up of that vintage, the GMC w/the big V6 would be top of the list.
