Use small or large boxes for AF , it’s not the lens missing focus. My Z9 would lock on most of those bif pics with old 500 f4 fl .

Z30 user: Z30 focuses faster and better in low light and contrast. Z30 Tracking Focus is snappier on moving targets, particularly in the people/animal modes including video. using the 16-50mm kit lens. The lens focuses close (8”) Best with 16-50 lens

How much did it cost you to dive here?

I wanted to get an iPad but LR now won’t let you use it on iPad without being. Connected to the cloud! Defeats the whole taking it camping with me to edit on the go

Enjoyed the video and photos. The architecture of Tempelhof, however, is not an example of brutalist architecture, which didn't come into being until decades after Tempelhof was built.

You missed the most important weakness. The overheating problem when shooting in 4K is the ultimate No Go. After 25 minutes of filming the camera shuts down due to overheating. What kind of Vlogging camera is this? As photo camera it is unusable due to the missing view finder. Keep away from this camera!

I was stationed there with the 7350th Air Base Group; USAF; 76-79; worked there for 3 years; awesome place. I remember a spiral staircase but did not see it in the video.

You never extended the legs or talked about the locks on the legs. I would never buy it without that information.

The problem is what if you don’t have internet access. You can’t synch to the cloud. In fact I NEVER want to use the cloud. I really have internet access on a photo shoot. This app is useless.

Tempelhof Airport has special meaning to me since my father flew the Berlin Airport and met my mom there. Your video encouraged me to book the Templehof tour during my visit to Berlin a few weeks ago. It was an amazing tour and you captured its spirit perfectly.

Great Review. You earned a Subscriber and a Like. I recently started a new remote position and for the first time I’ll be using my 2022 M2 Air. After learning that you can only use one monitor this will serve as a solid 2 for 1 with the multitasking view plus I can save space and game on it! I will let you all know how I like it.

the z30 in theory actually looks super nice to me. and in fact i think its a camra i could be happy with if its the only camera i had to use... BUT the mission viewfinder just kills it. and thats coming from someone who doesnt even like viewfinders and i never did. i wear glasses. using viewfinder with glasses is beyond annoying so whenever i can use the display instead.. i do that. however by having no evf at all, you will run into so many situations outside where for example the sun is bright and shining onto your display and you cant rarely see anything on it and you HAVE to use the evf in that situation as a back up. not having this backup at all feels kind of limiting

Commenting on lack of IBIS is pointless. Use a Nikon lens with VR and you have 4 stops of shutter speed reduction and you can use an appropriate shutter speed without VR. The review criticises the Z50's screen and lack of articulation yet says the Z7's is preferred which is a tilting screen the same as the Z50. The images used for travel photography don't come close to demonstrating the Z30's quality and there is no reference to the Hugh ISO capability which is outstanding on the Z30. It was designed for use without an EVF - it's not something Nikon forgot. The Z30 is way more than an entry level camera with all the features and options available for not a lot of money. Autofocus is lightning quick and the touchscreen is as good as it gets. Build quality is excellent. Not a particularly good review.

as 85chuckanut said the viewfinder isn't a problem as almost everyone is using their smartphones nowadays with liveview only. I even use only liveview when using my D5300 as looking through the viewfinder hurts my eyes.

I am using this little machine more and more in spite of me being a full-frame fan. It is, as you say, so little and light but also vey ergonomic and so easy to handle with one hand. Pair it with a 40mm F/2.0 (full frame lens) or a DX 24 mm f/1.7 and you are good to go in pretty much any situation. With any of those two lenses the quality/price ratio of the combo is superb.

Thanks for the great video--very impressive. I was scheduled to dive Tubbataha but the trip was cancelled because of covid--two years in a row. I've dived at many different places in the Philippines but Tubbataha is on the top of my wish list but keeps eluding me. Favorite dive site (sites) are the Socorro Islands off the coast of Mexico--also only dived from liveaboard boats. Mantas, mantas and more giant mantas plus different sharks on every dive--including many hammerheads. I've had the pleasure of making three trips there and hopefully will return again soon. I will be diving in the Philippines again this July (2024) but that is long past the season to dive Tubbataha--but I'll make it there one day I'm sure. Good diving!

Could you help with the name of the softare which should be installed?

mediocre demo. you barely edit your photos and didn't show important features like culling, masking, keyboard shortcuts, etc or compare the ipad experience with the macbook/laptop experience

I am very thankful that the Z7 has so many shortcomings - other than the excellent image quality and body build quality. It allowed me to pick one up in excellent condition with six months warranty in 2024 for just about USD1,000. Mind boggling how good of a deal that is. My main use is landscape photography.

I just hope that one day I can get to dive here ✨Manifesting✨
