How do you get the little map on your rc
Do you have the slideshow for public?
I just took the exam and this video helped a lot but I will say there was a few questions that caught me totally off guard. I studied a lot for sectional charts, metar and TAF but they made up maybe half of the questions at most. There is a lot of questions on stuff like what does nimbus mean and what is this one specific category of part 107. Like some of it was just terms that you had to know. As with general standardized testing strategies, it helps to mark questions you are slightly unsure about, I found that a later question might give you the answer. I did pass the exam but I do highly recommend just knowing a lot of definitions and not just sectionals and metar/taf reports.
Thank you so much for your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Home Depot and Lowes also take old batteries for recycling.
Oh, by the way, do this soon if you ever plan to. The tapes will degrade, even shifts in the Earth’s magnetic field may wipe them. Time is running out.
I have a VCR to DVD machine and which I could then take the digital signal off the DVD. I also have a Sony hi8 machine. I digitized everything I had . Your approach is basically on point. The joke is: what is 1000 miles? It is the length of tape your family never saw but was recorded.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, especially all the time that goes into chapterizing and organizing everything. Nice job!
Is the quality and resolution good? I'm trying to find a way for me to convert our family videos as well and I don't want to use the Elgato or similar, hence why I find your way interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Scheduled my Part 107 test for 5 days from now. So far studied half a day (watched this video in detail and read through the FAA part 107 PDF). Took the free online sample test. Appears I've got to get in some more studying related to the sectional charts and also odd one off questions that I expect were answered in the FAA PDF, but didn't recall. Certainly seems very feasible to get a good basis understanding by simply utilizing this video and a few of the FAA docs. UPDATE: Passed my exam with a 70%... cut it close. Expected to do much better, but my test seemed sectional chart heavy. Some questions of those were easy, while others seemed tricky. Had several weather based questions not covered in this particular video (i.e. additional cloud types). Definitely needed to know some of the weather based symbols for the weather reports. Also had several general aviation based questions that I was not familiar with at all and not covered in this video or some of the other study videos I watched. Overall though, Matt's video is a great starting point, but based on my test, I'd certainly recommend studying in more depth using the "Remote Pilot ‒ Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airman Certification Standards" found on the FAA website as your guide. I believe Matt mentions this in his video too.
I have found that digitizing them is the easy part, watching them is a nightmare, OBS is a nightmare.
Just passed my exam! Used this video and a few practice tests
War Eagle!
Thank you! Your video is extremely helpful and well done! Question: Could you let me know if you listed the link to the radio that you mentioned?
Thanks! You can find the radio link on my kit page on the description 😊
Great video! I believe best buy accepts electronic and battery recyclables
I did subcribe
Thanks for all the info
I can no longer see the gimbal from my bluetooth. Keep getting a "connection failure" and I can't find any fix anywhere.
hi matt just wondering what you think about the Video2Digital Converter 3.0 versus Video2Digital Converter 2.0 i'm trying to decide which one to buy
Great resource for Part 107 I pretty much understand the do and don't of flying a drone but does anyone really follow these rules. Watching videos on TH-cam people are flying miles away from their location can anyone see a drone a mile or even a 1/2 mile away? Videos of flying at night Great videos of city lights but not legal, FPVs flying with no observation after going through Part 107 am I missing something
I am watching your video and truly appreciate your help. You are awesome. I am preparing for the part 107.
Only studied for one day because I thought it was common sense so this video helped a lot watched it twice and took a free test online by kingschools did that maybe 3 or 4 times was getting around 70-75 % towards my last couple of tries. I was shocked to see they use the exact maps on the test 5 of the questions were exactly the same too which was great, this video covers so much and is a great base got a 83% on my first try for the official test with only one day of studying crazy. Thanks Matt
Thank you Great video
i have the tascam DR 10 - L, and struggle to transfer the files. It sais USB connected, but is not recognised in my computer, and I cannot scroll the menu. ... do you know how to troubbleshoot it?
Just watched the whole vid beginning to end. Loved it. The cadence when someone speaks, especially training, is everything. You nailed it. Thank you.
so with the vfr and ifr you say 4 numbers is at or below 1500ft and 3 numbers is above or below that, so my question is regardless of which wouldnt you use caution because either one you see on a chart could have low altitude aircraft??
What is the definition of “Flying over people”….im recreational right now and the way I see it…if I fly 10’ over someone , that’s technically not “Flying over them”…to me it would be a straight line up from where they are walking and as long as I’m not doing that, I’m not technically “flying over them”. Watching the video over the next few days and gonna take a fly on the test. Thank you.
What if my DJI Mini4 Pro is only .249 G but after prop guards are installed it takes it slightly over.
Thank you so much Matt! I took the exam this week and passed! I watched this tutorial twice, and did some practice problems. God bless you! You saved me a lot of time !
107 is a bs cash grab from faa
Excellent presentation of a lot of pertinent information for the exam. I haven't taken it yet, but feel smarter from watching this presentation from Matt. Thanks so much for all the information.
When are you taking yours?
Within the next week or so. Re watched the video multiple times. Pick up something new every time. So helpful. Thank you.
@@tortorellamike lmk how it goes. I’m still studying
Awesome Video!!! One clarification: a drone must be UNDER 55 lbs. not 55 lbs. or less. Thus, 54.99999 lbs. would fall under part 107 but 55.000 lbs. would NOT. You might think that is splitting hairs, but I've seen this as an exam question.
Can you please explain why it's Class D airspace for the question at 41:00? On the sectional chart it looks like the airport is surrounded by magenta and by blue. Thanks.
I rent a cine lens to try but when I try to take a photo I get a stop hand in my screen can someone help me to get the settings to fix this please??
I've completed the 107 Couse from Pilot Institute,, decided to watch this ad well!!!
Subbed!
Just passed my exam after watching this on repeat for 3 evenings!!! 87% thank you so much!!!!!!❤
Is it true that commercial tapes cannot be digitized and copied this way?
Thank you
How do I view the tapes I have digitized via the converter? They are on my flash drive and I want to see them.
I must be an idiot, why is question number 1 "A Less than 55 pounds" and not "C 55 lbs or less" First question and i already feel like this test is going to be one giant gotcha
because the drone cannot weight 55lbs the regulations state that It must be less that 55lbs so a maximum of 54.9lbs
Can you send me the images/ flash cards you used in the video as a pdf please love the video I want to be able to take notes on it
Thank you so much for this, never knew most of this information 🙏
Do you have a link to the radio you recommend?
Watching this a few times I’m wondering if I should still purchase an online course.?
Ok... I think I got the first half. 2nd half I am shakey on. I will rewatch and take notes. Got some PDF files. Hopefully, I pass. I think the license will help me land better Security and Cinematography gigs.
I went to like the video a second time... I already liked it halfway through, and then I went to try to like it after the end... this video needs more likes, wish I could help with that... thank you so much for the info! Can't wait to learn more!
Wait, so people can update Facebook while driving, but I can't fly my drone while driving!?!? This is outrageous... lol jk jk
I thought the dji didn't have any locking plugs?
My Part 107 education started here. Listened to your video through once, the second time through i wrote everything down, the third time through watched it with the notes. This was the best start to my Part 107 education as it covered the majority of everything you need to know. In addition to your video i would strongly reccomend YT videos focused on Part 107 Q&As and at least one more type of Part 107 full review instructor video ( I agree with some of the other comments that people explain things differently (especially important for weather patterns)). Thanks Matt, passed w/ 87% first try!
