Thanks, I have another day filmed and I got a 10.76 but I haven't had time to edit the video.
Hello, I see you mentioning altitude for a better time in your replies to commenters but I would think this would not affect an electric car since it’s not like the motor needs air to perform better like an ICE car.

Thanks. I took most of 2024 off after losing my dad and dealing with my own health issues, but I have a new computer for editing and plan on hitting 2025 hard.

Just be honest mate, we saw you had no interior and nitrous
Good one. I wish I would have had a little nitrous for myself that day. The acceleration of this car is not something I can handle. I can do 3-4 runs and I am so worn out I can't drive home. Good thing the car drives for me 🙂

If all the chargers are powered by solar, what happens at night? Creator seems disingenuous at the way is going about this. Seems like a straw man discussion to say the chargers are literally only charged by solar. I have solar and a Tesla in CA, so I absolutely know this solar farm would not meet such a capacity. Perhaps researching the idea of carbon neutral would be advised.
Of course the chargers are grid tied, but the moral of the story is that they are not diesel powered. However Tesla does have mega packs that back up the grid at night.
Very impressive for a newbie!
@@ericn3221 I ran a 10.7 a couple weeks later, but my computer died so I wasn't able to post the video. I got a new computer and I am hoping to get it posted this week. I'm pretty sure 10.7 is the fastest official time for a stock Model 3.
I’m a car guy…at the end of the day, a Tesla is still a car. I went from a Z to the same car as you…only stealth gray though because I like dark colors. Real car guys don’t care if it’s EV or not. Just saying. We’re just here to have fun. The only issue is the average entitled Tesla driver behavior. That is why some of us are anti-Tesla. Even I sometimes make fun of Tesla drivers which is ironic because I drive one. Not because of the car. It’s usually because of the driver.
I have mostly owned cheap garbage cars with a few classic muscle cars. Most I ever spent on a car was $6k before I got my Tesla. And I had been driving an 85 4runner that I paid $1k for. I am having a lot of fun with it.
Awesome video. Hoggoloboggolo

I'm grateful to see this! I'm debating the long range or this but I would much rather have this for every other reason. But I do have a question, how many miles is that 80%? Even it whatever it just shows you? Just have a ballpark? Because I don't want to charge to 100% unless I have to and I'd like to know what I'd be able to have as an Uber driver on the daily.
A lot of it depends on how you are driving but I think you can count on 250 miles @ 80% depending on your speeds. But that is running it below 5%. You will love it, check out my race videos, I just set the record in the 1/4 I will be posting it this week.
Legit times on an NHRA track! Great vid!
I ran a 10.7 2 weeks ago but my graphics car crashed on my PC and I can't edit any videos right now. I will get the video up as soon as I can.
@@Fly4Video Sorry, That is my coment above.
@@mountainmantesla4395 wow .. but was that stock or did you modify the car in some manner (weight, wheels…). Staging shallow will allow you to get the full rollout giving you the best time. There are some anal people that will split hairs about this car being able to do 10s.. which your video proved it can, even with a novice (at the drag strip) driver ;)
@@NlghtShifter I don't know what staging shallow means. I just moved forward until they told me to stop. I took the back seat out which is about 20 lbs and I weigh 150. If I had the sexy buttons I would be able to run a 10.5 because I could heat the battery. The car is totally stock, I am broke and haven't spent any money on the car. I also had 3 cameras and mics, which probably weigh a couple lbs. I wish I could afford some thin wheels with drag tires and I could take another .1-.2 off.
@@mountainmantesla4395 You don't need sexy buttons to heat the battery really... just go into the navigation screen ... then select any Tesla Charging location. The car will start pre-conditioning while you sit there at the track. Wait about 7 - 8 mins (for a 2024) then press end trip and you're all set ;) No need to drive around. As for wheels (cheapest)... the Konig Hypergrams 18x8.5 square setup seem to be the lightest rims for $200 - 289 each. Only 18 lbs. each. Couple that with some quality lightweight tires. Hubcentric Rings r not necessary if installed properly. The tapered aftermarket lug nuts this wheel accepts will automatically center the wheel if installed correctly ;) After all this you should be in the 10.5s like (Eddy),or maybe 10.4s since you're a lightweight, and without fuxoring your warranty.
What's the difference?
Better range, faster, vented seats, rear infortainment. I bought the performance. It is amazing.

You shouldn’t buy a car that you can’t handle same thing I suppose goes for a motorcycle
I agree. This is a straight line. There is a learning curve for staging the car and such, but nothing about the car was an issue.
Why do “men” let other men drive their cars for them. It’s like letting them ride their wife for them. Please ride my car for me then take my wife
The guy who drove it for me had spent his time educating me on how the track rules work, staging, timing the tree, tire pressure etc. And he weighed less than me, so I wanted to see how the car could preform and let him experience the upgraded 2024 model (He has a 2022). Knowing what the car could do with a pro let me see that I was not that far off with my times and my reaction times were actually better than his. It's a car, comparing it to a wife is a stretch and I am not threatened by letting people drive it anymore than I am not jealous of my wife having conversations with men at work, I have never been the insecure type. I have let lots of people have rides and feel the acceleration. I am doing a launch reaction video this week.
You don't need race car driver to drive an ev
I wanted to see how things work. I had never been to a track before. And he really wanted to try my car. It was the fastest he had ever been in.
How much did it take to charge it from 2% to 100%?
I charged for about 10 minutes while I was in the store and went home, I was exhausted. And charged up while I slept. That was a very long day and it was hot and my wife made me take her to IKEA....which is a preview of what hell will be like.

They gonna ban the M3P like the Demon lol
Damn, under 11. That Ioniq 5 N is 11.13
If I get up in altitude and take some stuff off the car I should run a 10.5
I agree... Within valid requirements: I5N best @ 11.05 -0.70% slope on Dragy Leaderboard... but the 2024 M3P @ 10.89 -0.85% slope still bested that time. I have to entrust what the op of that time says being the car is 100% stock and with the all-weather mats and aero caps. No 100% stock I5N did 10s... yet. Dragy is known not to be accurate with slope. I've run a few times on the exact road back to back... and the slope was minus and plus invalid valid... not consistent at all. So I'll trust an NHRA certified track more than the dragy. Don't get me wrong, the dragy is a great tool and gives you within +-0.04 of the track time if you run with it... but the slope keeps changing run after run. I wouldn't mind a hair difference... but not e.g., -1.5 to 0.8 lol! Could be not getting a good lock with the satellite array... uhh unless there was sudden furtive tectonic plate action in that area ;)
@@NlghtShifter I ran 10.77 (I think that is what it was) at Top Gun with zero slope. But I weigh 150lbs.
How much do you weigh? also a downhill dragstrip, what the hack. You could put it in natural and roll the whole way.
I am 155, and it is an optical illusion that makes it look downhill. This is Sonoma Raceway it is a certified drag strip.
@@curtspray It has to be within 1% grade. But there is also a head wind and it is at sea level.

.018 for a reaction time on your first run ever has to be a world record. Nice job!
It is amazing how fast you can be when scared to death and amped on caffeine.
Nice runs, hoping to upgrade from my standard to the performance soon!
Awesome car
Thanks, I am doing my 3rd road trip in 2 weeks with it tomorrow. I love it.
Every shift cost him.
I was blown away at how quick a 2wd car was off the line.
Its a shame Tesla gives us a shitty LG battery in germany. No reason to upgrade. Which braindead DEI hire decided that?
It's probably the unions in Germany that made a deal demanding it. It seems everything is run by unions there.
@@mountainmantesla4395 what have german unions to do with the cars that are build in Shanghai and shipped to Europa and China?
@@romansenger2322 you're right I forgot they don't make the 3 in Germany.
@@mountainmantesla4395 Weird anti union rhetoric?
The reason is the US tax credit requiring their batteries not to be sourced from China, so Tesla has been allocating all of their Panasonic battery capacity for the US leaving the LG for other markets. The trade-off is better consistency and lower battery degradation on the LG though.
Nice shout out to your wife as your sponsor 😂

Great run with a highly modified E55! ❤ you gave up .0166 on the tree and still won! Close race!
Thanks. My reaction time started the day good, but the heat got to me. I was exhausted.
Make sure you turn off your AC when running at the track. Don’t want to leave any water on the track.
That's great advice, I never thought about that
Thanks. I forgot on just one run. It was 100 degrees and with the fire suits I couldn't keep it off between runs.
I love your color combination and when I decide to place my order, red/white is definitely on my wish list, unless they finally bring Qwicksilver to the Model 3. Our '23 Model 3 white seats are holding up well, how are yours, and are you still happy with white?
@mountainmantesla4395 Thanks for sharing! Nice runs. As a Reno High alumnus, it's good to see there may be a ultra red M3P out there for Hot August nights ;)
Jarrett, I was watching your videos on your new M3P and looked for more content … and stumbled across your dad’s memorial slideshow. Very touching. And well done. In just looking at those pics, I could tell he was a very rich man who was loved by his family. I consider any man “rich” who loves his family and teaches his kids & g’kids how to be good & productive (by example).
Thanks.
I'm jealous! My Model S long range does 10.8 in the quarter. This model 3 is as fast!!! Good reaction time for your first run!
Thanks, I should be able to get down to 10.7 if I am not at sea level and pre heat the battery.
5:45 why was his trap speed like almost 6.5mph faster lol looked like he passed the line at an identical speed.... odd
This is my first time at a track. I have no idea what trap speed is. Now I have to Google......
Trap speed is how fast you’re going in the 1/4 mile. As you can see towards the end of the race he’s pulling on you hard. If the race was from a roll, the AMG would pull on you hard due to the 6.5-7mph difference.
@@sunnys14Let's not move the goal posts.
just so you know, reaction time does not go towards the ET. It only counts towards leaving before or after the other lane and finishing first and breakouts in bracket racing. Drag racing is addicting :)
Every race I got slower and slower as the adrenaline and caffeine burned out. I had to leave half way through the night because I was crashing to the point I was getting a Migraine. It was an amazing rush but I am not going to be consistent enough to compete.
@@mountainmantesla4395 dang, sorry about your migraine. Just do it for fun, don't worry about being competitive. :) Also, if you try again, the 60ft time is one of the best metrics to use for analyzing a run.
Man,,, 034 reaction time is very good, 0.18 is crazy good. 10.9 is the fastest i have seen yet.
Thanks. I will do a 10.75 next time. Going up in elevation and have a couple other tricks in my bag.
Where do you live,?
I get mine tomorrow, super excited, I really hope there is a performance boost upgrade (maybe an actual Ludacris mode), but all-round, this car is a monster, good races!
The G forces are insane.
There won't be, the battery is maxed out and already overheating on the track.
I hear the opposite in Florida. "Derp. I'd sure hate to have an EV after a hurricaneI" I've had to camp overnight in my X a total of four nights after hurricane-related power outages. Camp mode ate through about 7-8% of the battery each time with the AC at a comfy 72. AND there's no panicked search for gasoline the day before the storm. I hate NOT having an EV in hurricane season.
I hear that one from time to time and always press the person for details. When he could not produce any, he changed the subject to how my Tesla is really coal-powered.
@@SpottedSharks Yep our Teslas are basically coal powered steam locomotives.
@@mountainmantesla4395 Steam locomotives? More like ROCKETS!! If you drive one, you should know... steam has power, but no speed (like diesel), but a ROCKET has both!

Actually, the M3P simply out accelerated the MB. 😳
I did notice. I was also shocked he got me off the line.
Appreciate this video! I was looking at your screen and it looks like you were able to achieve this in chill mode?
Yes. Chill is still faster than almost anything on the road and I am not as sore after driving it from the extreme acceleration. I keep it there for my daily driving. It will also make my tires last a lot longer. If you see my track video you will get that I am going to blow through tires fast on this.
@@OurCubevlog sorry, I responded under my other account. Yes. Chill mode.
@mountainmantesla4395 that's good to know. I just took delivery last week and I 100% agree that this car is more than plenty in chill mode. Insane is whole a other level! Good point about changing tire often in insane mode.
Amazing Car!
Yep
That Mercedes was pretty fast! Good run
Yeah he was, and consistent. We were bumper to bumper both races.
Not to mention that's a 20+ year old E55 AMG. The biggest thing killing them is that they're stuck with an ancient 5-speed auto. It may be durable, but the lack of gear ratios really hurts performance compared to modern cars.
@@rustler08 I think my biggest advantage is that I weigh the same as a 4th grade girl. 😁
