@@highdeserthomesteader i know but it's hard to grow anything there , I mean you could try some drought resistant trees and stuff but more important things like potatoes tomatoes cannot grow on itself

We are all hard on ourselves. I think you and Nate and your little helpers have done an amazing job on your homestead. Starting from scratch, its quite an accomplishment. Started watching from the start. As a not very good gardner, if the plants don't die, and you get at least some yield, its a win.

I'm here to say -- If you don't like weeds -- put down black plastic weed barrier. I gardened and fought weeds for 47 years before I finally found this answer. Even if you can only afford to do a couple of rows every year, start this next planting season. It lasts a long time before needing to be replaced.

Nice to get things accomplished. Great job on the rainwater collection. Do you recall where you bought the black cover for the water totes? You guys have enough space to have the runoff flow above (another tote/s or pond or both, lol) or underground over to animals and garden 🙂

Hi love your videos ❤ just a suggestion for the pipe coming out of your tote to the gutter. You may want to strap that pipe up to something so that the weight of the water doesn’t make it fall apart and ruin your nice work. Just a thought to help you out. Gods blessings to you and your family.❤❤❤❤
