At what interest rate are you talking about? I currently live in Devonshire. None of those numbers match. My house is under 3000 ft², and I have the best available interest rate there is right now. And my mortgage is way higher than what you're projecting. The property taxes are way higher than that too.

I’ve been living in Dallas for about 13 years. Austin is the most expensive while San Antonio is the cheapest. Dallas is right behind Austin and Houston sits right above San Antonio. I’m not sure why it’s like that. I wondering if Houston is cheaper because of the flooding vs Dallas. I also don’t understand why Austin is more expensive. I get there is the Hill Country, but San Antonio is close to that as well.
