Hi, this is wonderful. I'm curious by day 5, does the food still remain fresh? Dairy? Trying to start too
Those things are wontons❤❤😊😊
Looks nice!
Thank you so much! 🤗💕
youre pretty
Thank you so much for such a kind comment! 🥰
Definitely a new subscriber!
YAYYYY!! Welcome!! Happy to have you 🤗💕
I want to try the bagel recipe. Where did you get the inspiration from? 😊
Yum and yay!!! It’s really good but I’m still not 1000% completely satisfied with the recipe. I saw several versions from creators on TikTok but none of them turned out quite right. Probably depends on the cottage cheese used and several of the recipes said to drain the liquid but I don’t want to 😂
@@lovelybylisa I'll wait patiently for you to perfect the recipe. 😉
@@kesiachism2201 workin on it! 🫡😂
The bagel is next for me... maybe next week. We'll see haha
Yay!! 🥯 you’re going to love it!! 🤗
Time! I find my self not eating enough. And ordering became too expensive. I got diarrhea from bad eating schedule, dehydration and eating something i shouldn’t from Go-Food Looking through some meal prep videos to get a week worth of high protein meals. Thank you for the time you took making all these meal prep videos. It’s insightful ❤
Thank you so much for taking the *time* to leave such a kind, insightful comment!! 🤗 Time is my favorite one, too! Having it all planned out saves me so much time!! I’m so sorry to hear about your negative health experience and hoping you’re feeling much better now. 💕 And thank you so much ! I’m so happy it inspired you!! 💖😊
i love that you meal prep interesting and delicious recipes! keeps me from getting bored of my meals 🫶
Thank you so much for the kind comment!! And yes, I love cooking and being creative with meal prep! I could never eat broccoli, chicken and rice for every meal 😭
This looks amazing! I don't eat red meat, so all chicken is a perfect prep for me. Thank you!
Yaaay!! Thank you so much!! 😊 I don't cook with red meat often either and I'm glad my double chicken works for you, too!! 😂 Chicken is really so versatile!!
I don't understand - you're in the health and fitness industry but you're overweight a bit. How can this be?
Hey, I don’t know if this was your intention but commenting this is very rude and I don’t ask for or accept unsolicited opinions about my body. It sounds like you might have been led to believe that “healthy” bodies are small bodies but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Small doesn’t automatically equal healthy and large bodies don’t automatically equal unhealthy. Healthy is really more about what your body can do than just how it looks.
💯
Thanks so much for the comment and support 😊
It looks like you make meals for only 5 days. What do you eat on the weekends?
Thank you so much for the comment and question! Such a good one!! In the past when I had to work on weekend days I prepped 6 or 7 days but it doesn’t leave room for the flexibility of a weeknight work lunch or dinner with friends. Then I start questioning if I carry those meals into the next week, etc. I’ve found 5 days is great and leaves space for big, fresh salads or sandwiches that would otherwise be challenging to meal prep! My husband also makes the best pancakes so I love when he makes them on a Sunday morning 🤗 we still eat in a similar format on the weekends but it’s usually meals that aren’t great for meal prepping. Lots of protein, veggies & fruits (complex carbs), healthy fats, and fiber 😊
I just almost cried over this
Hey, thanks for the comment! What’s causing you to cry?!
Nah the suya got me !!!❤️❤️ we love to see that 😁
Thank you so much!! Reading this made me so happy 🤗💕 we looove suya in this house!

I don't mind eating the same meal for a week as long as it's delicious.
Exactly!! 😆 when it’s good you don’t even notice !!
Since you shoved this sushi bake down my throat for 2 weeks in a row, I'm prepping it today. I hope you're happy 😅 😂... not gonna lie it smells so delicious I can't wait😊
LOL you must already know it felt SO strange for me to repeat a meal so soon!! 😂 it was just as good, if not better, the second time! I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!! 🍣🍱

Do you have recipes on a blog or a recipe book or download for sale! I love that your recipes aren’t the boring basic freezer meals.
Thank you so much for your comment, question and compliment! I usually just make everything up as I go 😅 but I’m working on a recipe book!! 🤗 there are some things posted on my blog, but not a ton!
I am a busy student who has to start mealpreping for a week. I would like to know how you store you meals (eg-which ones go in fridge or freezer and how many hrs ahead you have to defrost them) after preparing for the whole week.
Hi! Thanks so much for the comment and questions! I’m so glad to read your meal prepping as a student, it’s going to help you so much as you’re so busy! I usually prep 5 days at a time. I store days 1-3 in the fridge (I keep my fridge set to 34-36° F) and days 4-5 in the freezer (I keep my freezer at -2°F). I don’t usually defrost, but sometimes will defrost overnight. Safe food storage to mitigate bacterial growth is multifaceted ~ the length of time the food sits out to cool after cooking, the storage temperature of the food and the water content of the food itself. Freezing prepared food gives it a longer life and mitigates the risk of spoiling/bacteria. The USDA had a giant chart on their website and the general recommendation is below 40° F for refrigerated foods. I like to keep my refrigerator colder, and I have it set to 34-36° F, and I don't recommend refrigerating meal prep for more than 4 days at that temp, after that I recommend freezing! Adding a link here for additional food storage tips! www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/are-you-storing-food-safely
@@lovelybylisa Thank you so much for the information. I really needed it. 🥰
@@userred4204 you’re so welcome! Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help to answer!!

I’d love the protein cheesecake recipe, it’s my husband’s favorite dessert.
💕Thanks for the comment, Monica! Cheesecake really is so delicious! Yay, I just added it, I'll link below! You'll have to let me know how he likes it. It doesn't taste *exactly* like cheesecake, but it's a lot less fuss and very close, imo! I bet if I added a little bit of cream cheese in there it would taste much more like the real deal, too. 🫶 www.lovelybylisa.com/blog/protein-cheesecake
A helper!!
Thank you for your comment, Susan! Yes, my husband grilling was a huge help and will be a continuation! Haha He doesn't like to be in the videos but he's always helping off camera 😂
I know it's an accident because of all the vegetables but it's all the color , medium brown. So you buy egg whites? Is it cheaper than just cooking a pan of egg whites and cutting it into however many servings you need? The yellows of the egg whites used could have been halved into the whites for breakfast sandwiches and the other yellows cooked on that Oriental lunch. Egg yellows would be pretty authentic on Asian food.
Hi! Thanks for the comment and your feedback! I appreciate it! Sometimes I buy egg whites in a carton, but they are definitely more expensive than buying eggs. It's really a convenience thing! 😅
Isn’t Sweet Baby Rays made with high fructose corn syrup? It tastes good, but it may not be good for you.
Thanks for the comment and question! I have a Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition and a major focus of mine is Nutritional Epidemiology. HFCS is essentially the same as table sugar in metabolic effect and safe to consume in moderation. It’s not something I regularly consume and can be part of a balanced dietary intake.
@@lovelybylisa It’s interesting though that before high fructose corn syrup was introduced there wasn’t NAFLD. I’m a retired registered nurse and have been studying what’s in the food we eat for a few years now. I try to eat organic as much as possible and at least non gmo if organic isn’t available. Your meals do look delicious by the way.
@@johnniepaffe6027 Thanks for commenting back! This is a topic I could talk about all day!! Yes, NAFLD is more prevalent now that ever before, but eating an excess of HFCS is only one potential culprit. The way our food and healthcare systems are setup in the US don't do us any favors, either! As a retired nurse, you know more than I do how much the healthcare system in the US is broken. Similar things could be said about our food system, AND the greatest impact on our individual health/wellbeing will always be SDOH. Why is it that buying produce is more expensive that buying UPF, right? 😞 I always try to strike a balance. Day to day, I'm able to eat and food whatever I like, whatever the price point, which is an incredible privilege. I try to not demonize one specific food or ingredient overall, it's so much more complex than that!!
@@lovelybylisa Sadly, I don’t trust the FDA to determine what’s safe to eat. I’ll do my own research. And it’s also sad that buying pesticide free and non GMO foods is not affordable for most families. Thank you for your responses. Continued success with your channel. ❤️
@@johnniepaffe6027 Definitely understand that! I'm sure you would love Marion Nestle's work alongside Dr. Niyati Parekh's research, both professors from my program. Another great person would be Jennifer Pomeranz. 🫶 They're all distilling the complexities with corporations and our food systems!
Very nice 🙂

If you eat a high protein diet, do you need to work out more? New to this! Sorry!
Hi! Thanks for the comment and question! No apologies necessary! 🫶 It really depends on your health and nutrition goals. It's common that women are protein deficient, so implementing a high protein diet could be beneficial. My personal health and fitness goal is to build muscle and eating a high protein diet can be a integral part of meeting that goal 🤗

The fact that you take the time and effort to thank & answer each comment is so wholesome! I could not eat the same meals the whole week but these are definitely good inspo for recipes, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind comment! It’s so important to me to build community and I am so grateful for the support I’ve received on TH-cam. 🤗 Im glad you’re taking away some recipe inspiration and I completely understand that eating the same meals isn’t for everyone 😆
Do you eat the same thing all week?
Thanks for your question and the comment! 🤗 Yes! I change it up week to week so it doesn’t feel boring or monotonous. The convenience of having something healthy and nutritious ready is more important to me than variety on a day to day basis.
How did you become so good at meal prep? Have you always been like that? And how do you find the energy (do you sleep early? Often eat something in particular with lots of vitamins like smoothies) ? Chukran (thank you) 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much for the kind comment and questions! 🤗 I’ve been cooking this way for about 10 years, so I’ve really figured out what works and doesn’t work for me. Once I got married I started cooking for both me and my husband so I had to adapt to learn how to cook for 2 people 😅 the principles remain the same so it’s just adapting that’s the challenge. And as far as finding the energy- it can be a lot of work, I won’t deny that! I just prefer to have all the work once per week instead of less work each day. 😅 I’m an early riser, so bedtime is often early for me. Until very recently I started work very early in the morning so going to bed early was always a nonnegotiable! Now it’s just become a habit. Generally, I’m very active! I live in NYC, strength train 3x per week, intentional cardio 2x per week, walk daily, play tennis, and I’ve been coaching strength training for the past 6 years. I try to eat a diverse, protein-rich diet with lots of different vegetables, fruits and complex carbohydrates! 🥦🌶️🥙 I don’t take supplements and prefer to get my nutrients through food whenever I can🤗 I think all of those ^ contribute to my overall health and I’m happy with that!! 😊
@@lovelybylisa wow thank you so much 😭🥰🥰🥰🥰. I took screenshots! I dont like supplements too. I also seriously need to sleep early (and get up earlier) and exercice. Thank youuu again. I am a new homemaker haha so your advice is super helpful❤️❤️❤️
@@ElinoMilanesi You're so welcome! I love helping people set up a system that works for them. And especially preventive health systems that encourage behaviors that promote health!! It's my speciality! It can be so challenging finding the balance between everything we need to do AND eating well, exercising, going to sleep early, etc. 💕 Start with the easiest one to accomplish and take it all one thing at a time- you can do it!! 🫶
I love this thanks for sharing girl
So kind! Thanks for the comment and support 🥰🤗
I can be such a picky eater (which I hate!) But your meals actually look really good and like something I would def eat! I was wondering if you have plans to have written recipes for all your meal preps? 😃
Thank you so much for the kind comment and question! Haha picky eaters just know what they like and don't like 😂 I always encourage everyone to meal prep meals they like eating vs the basic "broccoli chicken rice" that gets boring!! I have some recipes posted on my blog but I don't really follow recipes so it's hard to share measurements because I make it up as I go. I'm going to start sharing grocery lists with ingredients and then "no recipe recipes". Working on it 😅
Is okay to heat up that chicken meal when there is yogurt and mayo in it? Thanks for meal ideas.
Thank you for the comment and question! 🤗 I prefer eating it cold but you can definitely eat it warm if you prefer that! I would think about it like a "chicken melt" or a "tuna melt" sandwich if warmed!
*Just a tip you can shred the chicken in a mixer a hand one or the big one(Stand mixer)😊*
I've been meaning to try this with my hand mixer! Do you find it's easy to do? I'll try it next time!
It's so much faster ... it can get a little messy but I just use a towel to cover and it goes by in a flash! Love using my mixer to shred chicken❤
@@EdrinaCalderon Haha that’s good to consider, definitely want to pick the right bowl to do it in! 😆 I’ll keep that in mind !
Suya? let me guess your husband is Nigerian?

Oh that’s such a good idea!! Many creamy dips would be so delish with Greek yogurt! Now I want to go tailgating !! 😂
Do you keep these in the freezer, and then bring them put the ones you want in the fridge the night before? 😊
Thanks for the comment and great question! I usually keep days 4 and 5 in the freezer until I’m ready to warm them in the microwave! I think removing them the night before would work, too! 🤗
