Assault rifles only scratch the paintwork of centipedes. You need HEAT weapons to take them out. Their armour is an inch thick so to be realistic you need HEAT like what is used in real life against armor

TBH I find the "camping several colonists loaded with wealth on the world map" trick too cheesy for my tastes. Why not just make an arbitrarily large outpost on another tile and pretend it doesn't exist? (Except, of course, that would have to be defended!) That said, I'm enjoying this series very much and am grateful for it.

Due you need to use Combat Extended, CAI5000, and Enemy Self Preservation , No one Left Behind to balance it out so it's doable. Then use Hildegarde Heroic as story teller if you've never tried her before.

Dont get it. you start with all random in the title. then you start with bad skilled pawns and dependencies troubles and then you kill one after the other by "accident". if you dont like your chosen szenario play another one....

It should be mentioned that long range rifles are better for levelling colonists shooting skill, especially at extremely low shooting levels and against incompetent/passive targets. A low fire rate and high XP per shot fired (regardless of it landing or not) prolong the survival of the target, increasing potential XP gained. Especially at low skill levels where a vast number of shots will end up missing, furthermore increasing the duration of battles and hunts.

Your channel is wonderful, your guides and tips are so well explained and laid out, you somehow find the perfect balance between making it easy to follow and understand in general, but also explaining the mechanics for those of us who DO like to know the math (however complicated rimworld algebra is). watching you play this way, makes me want to try it too, which I know is horrible for me XD (1, im worse at the game, 2, heavily modded too, and 3, I know ill get frustrated with micromanaging which bench is put down and what is left outside) Regardless, I find this series extremely interesting, sorry I dont get to make it to the streams :)

Kind of curious how grenades fit into this. Also having a long range fighter with your otherwise short range fighters can be usefull for killing priority targets like enemy's with doomsday rocket launchers

I love these but so much of the end gets cut off for these VODs. I thought this was GGs but I click on the next stream and you've recovered massively and gained 7 new colonists. YT automatically cuts off livesteam VODs at ~12 hours so anything past that is completely missing.

I really do find you managing to squeeze so much into the 13x13 incredibly interesting it reminds me of as a kid, me and my brothers would play with lego, and we didnt have much "plate" pieces for the bottom of buildings or bases, so we really had to squeeze as much as we could onto them, make every stud count to fit something neat. Its a fun mix of the part of my brain that likes to optimize in games, and nostalgia for those times as a kid... kinda random for a comment, but yeah, ty for the series smurph, even if I dont always get to keep up

I'm early in the video but I was thinking about the 13x13 design and that you get 11x11 on the inside. I was thinking an interesting "hack" would be to lay your footprint into a mountain (avoiding overhead mountain if you want...) so you could actually use the mountain wall. you could run your trap chokepoint on the outside block, making your trap maze take up 2 blocks wide instead of 3. Just a thought on how to cheese the 13x13 a bit :)

Welp, no ending for this VOD. IIRC another streamer mentioned that YT auto ends after the 12hr mark in case you didn't know. It cut off right after you finished the pit gate and were mass chaos skipping the shamblers around to kill the mech raid lol Regardless, thank you for the entertainment throughout this series. It's been my favorite so far, but I'm looking forward to the all endings one stream run VODs and the 13x13 VODs.

If you are decked out with insane, high damage gear, and think you can take on the unnatural corpse, DO NOT kill it too fast. It needs to die from running out of regeneration, not from damage. The game doesn't think you can do enough damage fast enough, it doesnt expect that. So, damage it bit by bit until you get an EVENT that it died. If it dies like a normal pawn, it will respawn. I guess you can farm it with a butcher table, as they keep respawning. But that's a whole other level of insanity.
