What’s up Taylor! I actually had the exact same issue with my 2001 srx. It was sitting for a few years, and when I first got it in 2021 I couldn’t get it to run well. I decided to buy a different rack of carbs from a guy locally, and when that didn’t work I tore into the engine and discovered it needed a top end. It ran well for a while, but went to revving out at 8k and no top end power. After changing clutching, adjusting powervalves, different exhausts, completely resealing the engine, new reeds, new fuel lines, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, different stators, spark plugs, coils, etc. I had just discovered that the 2nd rack of carbs I put on it had a different set of needles/nozzles in it. I don’t think the carb rack is back, but I think something in that “bad” rack of carbs is different than the carbs you just put in it. I just finally got it running when we got dumped on, and put about 400 miles on it that week. Unfortunate that it had to melt so soon, but that was a great week!

If its not the reeds try lowering the needle position in the carbs by raisimg the clip 1 notch at a time, super easy to do right in your driveway and will lean it out a little bit between roughly one third to wot.

Needle clip position? Sounds like if thr reeds dont work try lowering the needle by rais8ng the clip position in the carb it does sound sorta rich which reeds can cause also. Try flipping them over if there removable. Just the reed pedals themselves

The bearings in the chaincase are in backwards. The seals face toward the chaincase cover .

I have this cars cousin, a '94 Dodge Stealth R/T (non turbo) in Emerald Green Pearl with 78K miles, 5 speed. Actually I have 2, also a '93 ES auto purchased 3 miles from my house from the original owner.

What shock did you put on there ? Were they taller then your oem?

I have a 1997 too, been through hell with that thing (literally) and just like a Phoenix, it rose from ashes lol.

You should also add that the amount of oil is 250 ml.

i've got the same car and just ordered malone stage 5 custom. Got a ton of mods under the hood, thing rips even without a tune and still get that great fuel economy.

picked up 99' 700 deluxe, with 13000kms, doing full rebuild, new trailing arms, viper shocks all hardware for front suspension, pistons, rings, crank seals, new water pump, fuel pump, stator, upper and lower jackshaft bearings. Skid pulled, a few bogey wheels, new straps, shocks, bearings. Pretty much new lol. Oh yeah new seat. Love these old Yammi triples. Yours sounds amazing. Would love to see more videos

I have a 2002 SXV700. I just bought a new chain but can't get it on, it appears to be a link or two too short, even with the tensioner completely relaxed. The top sprocket has 21 teeth, the bottom sprocket has 40 teeth and the chain has 34 links. I don't know the history of this machine, maybe someone re-geared it with different sprockets?? Any suggestions?
