I live in upstate NY and use to go to Weedsport Speedway back in the day (70's) for snowmobile racing. I remember one time the pro teams were there and in the 440 pro mod class when a factory Rupp Nitro 440 pulled on to the track, both front skis just came off...one headed north the other headed south and the rest of the sled was "dead in the water"!!! It was pretty funny. Those days were great when there were like 100 brands of snowmobiles many with factory race teams. Modern sleds don't interest me in the least anymore so don't do the snowmobile thing anymore. Besides with the way winters have changed its like owning a boat living in the desert. Plus EXPENSIVE!!!!!! But I will always remember the best times for snowmobiling when everybody had them and winters lasted 6 months...
