William Curtis posts videos related to Parkinson's Disease treatment with lifestyle changes. Some of the videos are intended for persons with Parkinson's. Some of the videos are directed at researchers and medical professionals, but a motivated person with Parkinson's could get some value. If the video is geared towards a mixed audience the patient oriented content will be put in the first few minutes and the hard core science is towards the end of the video.
Chapter5 Superoxide formation and metabolic outcomes leading to selective mitophagy.
This video provides background needed to understand the superoxide sentinel hypothesis (SSH) of mitochondrial quality control (MQC). You will learn how superoxide is made and the processes superoxide monitors in its role as a sentinel. You will see how nitric oxide distinguishes between mitochondria leaking electrons to superoxide and those that are not leaking electrons. You will be introduced to properties of enzymes and metabolites that facilitate selective mitophagy such as the odd kinetics of SOD and the depolarizing effect of Nicotinamide nucleotide transhydrogenase.

I tell people to consult their doctors before copying the lifestyle changes I made as adjunctive therapy for Parkinson's disease. The first hurdle most of the persons with Parkinson's run into is the doctors tell them the saturated fat will kill them. So, I made this video to review the largest study ever done to measure the correlation between saturated fat and heart disease. You can find the ...

I'm 79 and was diagnosed 3yrs ago. My brain can't take in all the science but years ago lost weight on keto diet and also on vegetarian diet. Also noted the benefits of morning exercise. My routine today is the ketone coffee about 8 am and breakfast about 11am. This gives me plausible mobility until about 3pm when brain fog moves in. Thank you for your video as I think I can improve my situation by applying am exercise and maybe some more of your suggestions. Thank you again and I'll need to watch this many more times.
Is this to help people with Parkinson's or just speak to scientists that are already experts in the field? If it is the former I would say the video is missing the mark. If the latter then I am not sure why share it with people that already know. Maybe your series of videos will lead to some conclusion that people can use?
Very interesting. If I may make an observation, this 'pitch' would be about 10 times more effective and informative if he weren't trying to squeeze three minutes' worth of words into two minutes. Either remove some detail or reconcile with the fact that it's a complicated theory that requires more than two minutes to encapsulate and allow more time for the explanation. I shouldn't be dividing my attention between what he's saying and whether or not he's going to run out of oxygen before he finishes.
Any suggestions for reversing Parkinson's Disease?
Wow! Thanks for sharing. Sounds really important. Would you please interpret for the lay man? How can we use this information?

What ? Is a reasonable question. I believe that it is worth the effort for each of us to find the answer to the question of "What?"

Does your arm hurt wearing the libre sensor because of your parkinsons symptoms?
Bill can you give an update on your condition?
Thank you for all of your hard work insight and sharing with others. I have found your protocol to be extremely helpful and I’m grateful for all your work.
Can you share how helped? Also are you on meds?
Love your videos Bill. Just a question...along with a low carb/ keto style diet, wouldn't a steady supply of ketone ester be helpful?
Just discovered your videos! I hope you are still doing well today! Thank you for all the amazing information! 🙏🏼
What 😢
Where can you get ketone ester in the UK, please, and would it be possible to recommend some brands?
I bought some on Amazon. But it really tastes bad. I’d like to know if some taste better, or not as bad.
What if patient have diabetes too can he go on this routine
Many diabetics use a ketogenic diet to reverse their diabetes. See TH-cam videos by Dr. Ken Berry or Dr. Eric Westman among many, many others.
Thank you so much for this information. My husband suffers from Parkinsons and I hope that making these changes will help him. God Bless you.
I am 66 and have lost muscle due to sarcopenia and am taking lots of protein and doing daily resistance exercises to build back my muscles. So what do I do? Cut down protein and allow more atrophy?🤔
Is there a brand of ketone ester you have found of consistent quality?
I would love to see an example of when and what you eat in a day. The information you have provided is very much appreciated.
I'm a farmer. Sheep and goat dairy goathere we go. It's hard for me to understand the scientific aspect of this TH-cam. If I could just get a diet for myself. I do a lot of hard exercise in the morning. Feeding putting out hay, cleaning medications for the animals. Milkit's only me except one kid comes to help me.And I do have my coffee I was having a very large breakfast. And now I only have coffee and I have a lot more energy to stay out there until 2 o'clock. That's when I usually have my lunch and I need to take my other Leva dopa but I need to know what I can do to alleviate the horrible off medtime in the afternoon as I still have work on the farm to do.
You probably already know this, but just in case: You mentioned eating your lunch around two, and it sounds like it's your first meal of the day, so I imagine it's huge and lots of protein. For some people, protein greatly interferes with their absorption of carbidopa-levodopa, because it competes in the gut for the same transporters used for some amino acids. So, it is best to take your levodopa at least 30-60 minutes before a high-protein meal, so it can get a head start on absorption and not have to compete with the protein for transporters in your gut. Carry it in your pocket and take it at least 1/2 hour before going in for lunch.
Need to be happy doing stuff. That alone is worth the time living on this earth.
Wow!
Beautiful presentation, sir.
So well explained and interesting to listen to. A lot of work has gone into this and I do hope it contributes to finding the real cause and cure for Parkinson's.
Please how to make a Ketone -ester at home/
Hi what is the " Ketone -ester recipes , please ! Can i use the Vitamin B1 -Thiamine. with it? please do respond.
People close to me have parkinson. Even though this is very easy to test. It’s nearly impossible to convince people to try it. Very frustrating 😢
excellent video, Are things still going well a year later? Also there's a new popular product called Ketone IQ.. 10 grams of Ketones.. have you heard of this and do you know how it compares to the ketone ester?
I had a hard time understanding what you were saying about mixing the ester. How much of the MCT do you put in your vile? Do you keep the MCT in the refrigerator? Do you add anything else to that? The other recordings I’ve heard of your process included grass fed butter and heavy cream. So are you leaving those two ingredients out now? I want to do this correctly.
Have you tried Keto or carnivore? It makes a difference for my hwp
Also, Thank You so much for sharing your experience and the science, theories and hypotheses so far in such a well-organized way!
Hello. I was able to reverse the expression of Parkinson’s on my mom, who was in early stage Parkinson’s. She’s not on Rx. But she does take supplements. I’m trying to help a friend who also has early stage Parkinson’s. I’m good at body science but my auditory comprehension is poor. Would you have this video in written form? If so, may I please read from it?
There is a video transcript right under the description, before the comments. Click on it, and a new window to the right of the video will appear. I select with my mouse to highlight it, keep it selected and scroll down to the end, have an email blank open and paste to that. You could do it with a blank document as well. Format it as you please then.
@@KristiJohnson-yo4hh Thank You!
How did you reverse the disease and what supplements did you use? I would love your reply. Thank you.❤❤❤
@@bahaar2825 this is very abbreviated, daily cross body movement exercises, IF, and particular therapeutic-grade essential oils for the brain. I’m a yoga therapist specialized in PTSD. For PTSD recovery, goal is to establish new communication pathways of nervous system, away from default pathways. I apply that to retired people too, and to my mom. It’s important your exercises cross your midline. I found out my mom added supplements. She’s a retired ICU and psychiatric nurse. I ace’d premed, and utilize that as a yoga therapist. If you do the butter coffee, the only tweak I have is: ghee rather than standard butter. Also, keep as much organic as possible. My mom’s health significantly improved all around by moving to a country that didn’t have to label organic foods as ‘organic’, unlike the USA.

How sad that the pharmaceutical companies are so obsessed with profit and not finding natural solutions for PD!
Thank you sir, this will help. In love and light, MF.
ketones ester. is not. prescribed. how?
Thank you!!!
How can i get ahold of Bill
Keto can work, but doctors are ignorant on how to do it long term. Ignorant on how to keep ketones high. Ignorant on the fact that protein is not a problem. 100 grams of protein is fine.
@womanhikerone4582 it takes a lot of discipline
@@hansscholte5472 Only if you do it wrong. It's very easy to eat eggs, bacon, beef, water, and salt. Some won't do the water and salt, and then they have to stop because carbs hold water. Sodium actually absorbs water beter.
What is the source of your ketone ester? How many milliliters? What concentration of ketone ester?
Thank you. We so appreciate it. No one helped my grandfather. He died of it. It was so terrible. No doctor suggested any nutritional improvement. Now I’m trying to get my elderly mom to reform her nutrition to arrest type 3 diabetes and she declines. I have reformed my diet to high saturated fat very low carb in young enough attempt to avoid these.
Hope you find your tribe
Impactful info. Thank you.
Thanks for providing written infor, ation of your lifetime reaesrch.
My father is newly diagnosed with Parkinsons. He has no symptoms except his upper lips works slowly sometimes. I am starting the moring diet by William curtis. I hpe this works. We will be happy if the symptoms stop here.
Thats a detailed one.
Very nice presentation, congratulations on being a principle author. At 66 I’m trying not to get Parkinson’s and have put some effort into diet and exercise. I had come to similar conclusions although not thru scientific rigor . It seems fasted aerobic exercise in the morning works to improve many biophysical markers .. lipids, CRP, BDNF, BP, T and on and on. About 5 years ago I went plant based for lipid control (my lipids react badly to saturated fat) so I won’t be adding saturated fat prior to exercise unless I start to experience Parkinson’s symptoms. So, thank you for expanding my armory … I’ll keep butter/cream/coconut oil in reserve. I do keep carbs low and protein “adequate” [i run 6k/day AM, and CrossFit 3day/week].. being plant based I keep methionine and lucine low (anti cancer). So, your efforts are greatly appreciated .. I feel I have a weapon in reserve. I hope your success continues.
Do you have off times, where you have no strength and hard to move until carbidopa/levodopa kicks in, it has been about 12 years for me and lately when my pills stop working and it’s time for my next dose, I can’t do anything until they start working and some days I can go with out any problems, sugar definitely aggravates my tremors.
William, Thanks so much for this video! I'm thrilled at the positive results you have had in regard to Parkinson's. I've been living with it for 10 years and am doing fairly well. My big problem is sleep. Is there approach you have found that helps you get a good night's sleep?
