Restoration of a Rusty Omega Seamaster Professional watch - Severe Water Damage
This is an Omega Seamaster Professional 300m, ref. 2552.80.00, powered by the 1109 movement. It was produced in the early 1990s, and is a smaller (36mm) version of the famous 007 Seamaster.
The watch has major water damage. All moving parts are completely seized.
The watch is disassembled and inspected. Damaged parts are replaced and the movement re-assembled and oiled. The case and bracelet are fully restored.

Restoration of a Vintage Tissot Seastar Automatic Watch
มุมมอง 61K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
This Tissot Seastar 46587-3X needs a full restoration. There are many small issues that have to be fixed. ASMR, no talking. The watch is powered by cal. 2571. The base movement was developed jointly by Tissot and Omega and also used in some Omega watches without the day complication with a cal. number 1481. The watch is running poorly. Crown is loose. Day/date complications have several issues....
Restoration of Ruined Modern Seiko Diver Watch
มุมมอง 62Kปีที่แล้ว
Come along on the journey as I restore a severely damaged modern Seiko Diver. ASMR, no talking. This is a Seiko SNZH55K1 powered by the 7S36 movement (case number 7S36-04N0). The watch isn't running. The balance is ok but the movement is seized. Some parts are missing, others incorrect. The movement is cleaned and inspected, then re-assembled and oiled. Case and bracelet get a full restoration ...
Superb
There is NO way you're human. That level of attention to detail. That level of fine motor skills to place those tiny parts so perfectly. Love the video. I have an Omega Seamaster I inherited from a relative. I would love this level of restoration on it.
Nice video, you definitely paid way too much for that in that condition.
You are a Master of watch repairing. Fantastic work.
Overpaid for the watch. But nice rebuild. Where did you buy the parts.
Wow! What an incredible challenge and transformation!
This is how professionals are working and restoring watches. These are very enjoyable videos. Excellent job.
What the hack Did just happened to this watch
Prior to disassembling the watch, it is advisable to clean it thoroughly using an ultrasonic cleaner. This will remove a significant amount of mud, facilitating the disassembly process without causing any damage.
👍👍👍👍❤️🙏
Jak można tak zniszczyć zegarek! Nie rozumiem!
🤩🤩🤩
I purchased my Seamaster new in 1973. On a vacation to Acapulco I noticed misting in the dial after a swim in the ocean. By the time I got back to Canada the dial was black! I sent it back to Omega but they refused to honour's the warranty as it had expired one month earlier. They said the seals and O rings needed to be replaced yearly. The store I purchased it from said I should write to Omega's head office. They agreed to take $300 off of the repair bill. It was still expensive but I still wear the watch daily. It has not touched water since. Kind of defeats the purpose of a driver's watch! Wonderful job on the restoration!
phenomenal you really are a master 👏👏👏
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Man... 1000 euros in THIS? No, thanks! Amazing job, though!
Потрясающая работа🎉!!! Восторг🎉
Наверное долго под водой лежали.
Not a great confidence builder for Omega
Keep them coming bro, the people want more of your videos haha 3 months too long to wait lol
On it! I had to build some tools for the next one
@ChronoWorkRestorations waiting, here for the long run brother, I like your videos. I. Subscribed.
Thank you brother, appreciate it!
How does restorations go for brother , a general amount
While I have the utmost respect for craftsmen such as yourself, and I love Seamasters. I can't help but wonder if it's worth the money and time to do this. All those genuine parts from Omega can't be cheap. I can't help but wonder if a whole new movement wouldn't be more economical. Still a great vid to show how it's done.
Well, you're right. The restoration made no sense from a strictly financial point of view. I did find a new Omega 1109 movement for spares which made it a bit more economical but wanted to keep as many original parts as possible. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked the video!
Where the f you found all those new parts?
I actually bought a complete Omega 1109 movement for spares.
Brilliant
Bro himself is an Omega Factory 💀 Truely genius
What amazing and skilled work. The final imperfections in the restored piece make it all the more beautiful - Wabi-sabi personified. Truly stunning video, thank you.
Thank you so much!
you are an amazing, have a great skill. you are total factory that you have your own production, Quality Control, R&D. Speechless on your PRECISION Work. i would say its RARE & You are RARE love to see your work ❤
Thank you! 🙏
Makes me want to wear my omega
Nicely done. All the best to your channel.
Thank you very much!
A mesmerizing video. An extraordinary restoration. The result is a masterpiece.
Is the cost of all those parts more than the cost of the watch itself? I totally get the desire to save the watch, but sometimes what we like and what makes monetary sense are two different things. I honestly don't know, which is why I'm asking.
I understand your comment, but that watch costs €6,600 new. I don't think the restoration exceeded that amount.
@@lucaswalker2538 That's what I was wondering. So even if the restoration and purchase cost was extensive, the final product makes sense to the watchmaker. However, I think if the cost also includes the labor, we might be getting close to the cost (or close enough to consider) of a new one. Again! I stil don't know, because I have no idea how much those parts cost. I would be very curious to find out what the cost of parts is...
My favorite Omega and wonderful job, bravo!!!
Thank you very much!
Fabulous work, really enjoyed the video.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful work. 👏🏼
Of all the watch rescue videos I've seen this is 100% the worst damaged one I've seen restored. Well Done. WELL DONE INDEED. 😊

Awesome restoration, but honestly I think you got pretty screwed on the initial cost of the watch in that awful condition.
