BANDSAW DUST COLLECTION..FIXED?
Over the past two years I have been working on my woodworking shop, but never took the time to make any videos.
Now that I have the time, I will be going over past projects showing how I made them. As well as new projects that are always on the go.
Today we tackle the Dust Collection on my 2002 General International bandsaw 90-125M1..
as we all know bandsaw dust collection just.. sucks.. and not in a good way.
I came up with a simple solution to tackle this
Parts used:
-2.5" dust collection hose (amazon) amzn.to/3wvWK54
-Hose clamps from Lowes
-2.5 " Dust collection Wye (Lee Valley) tinyurl.com/32jmzjpe
-4" dust collection 90 flange (amazon) amzn.to/3wjbWm0
Others:
4" to 2.5"x2 adapter amzn.to/3XUJ3Ix
4" Dust Collection kit amzn.to/3HwaGSX or amzn.to/3XYBTmC
3D printed parts:
-2.5" dust collection hose adapter www.thingiverse.com/thing:5392869
-Customizable 4" to 2.5" hose adapter www.thingiverse.com/thing:1285949
- Bandsaw Dust Collection Port www.thingiverse.com/thing:5402767
-Customizable Bandsaw blade Plate insert with holes www.thingiverse.com/thing:1294075
Thanks for watching and there will be many more videos coming out shortly as I have been filming several, just need to edit them.

Nice video and excellent approach! I’m working on the same thing for my Jet 14. I’m thinking, though that the cabinet port might be placed higher on the door to pull airborne dust away before it gets between the blade and the tire where it tends to build up over time and impact performance. Now… if I only had a 3D printer. Hmmmm….

Thanks for the overview. I already have a festool TS 55 F, but I'm very tempted to pick this up as a second tracksaw since I already have festool tracks and some M18 batteries. My only gripe though, is that when the saw is locked into the blade change position, the arbor doesn't lock too. If the riving knife on the milwaukee is like the festool, you don't need to remove it for plunge cuts; it's spring loaded. When you do a plunge cut with it, it doesn't fall into the kerf until you move the saw forward some. The riving knife on the ryobi isn't spring loaded though; that one you do need to take it off to plunge cut.
