The order of Melchizedek could have started with Adam. I believe the Jewish sources actually show this was Shem at the time of Abraham. He would have inherited it from Noah. Salem is Jerusalem. The word Semite actually comes from the word Sham or Shemite. One of the most interesting things about this passage is that Abraham made sure to call God YEHOVAH. Abraham did not want the other kings to think he was calling on Baal the most high god worshiped by the Canaanites.

Biblical fact: Mary the earthly mother of Jesus Christ was no longer a virgin. As a matter of fact Mary had other children after Jesus Christ was born. The Bible last mentions Mary, the mother of Jesus, when the Holy Spirit came upon her (and many others) on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). After that, we hear nothing else about Mary in the Bible. Mary most likely lived out her remaining years in the Disciple/Apostle John’s home, according to John 19:27. We don’t know where exactly John lived. He may have had a home in Jerusalem or Ephesus. Mary’s story, although more than incidental to the story of Christ, is subordinate.

At the wedding at Cana "They have no wine." Mary took their complaint to Jesus. She knew what he could do. "Woman, how does your concern affect me, my hour has not yet come." Mary says nothing, but we can assume that she must of looked at him. "Do what ever he tells you." Mary said, to the servant's. Jesus was waiting for word from his Heavenly Father, to start his ministry. But God wanted to show us that His son does honor his Mother. For its a command "Honor thy Father and thy Mother" Mary was given the grace to start Jesus's ministry. "He lifted up this lowly servant" Mary said. That is why we CAN pray to Mary. She took the servant's cares to Jesus and he listened to her. She can and does for us too. Jesus honored his Heavenly Father when he was 12 years old "Did you not know that I had to be in my Father's House?" He honored his Mother at the wedding, God left Mary srart Jesus's ministry. Then Jesus honored his Heavenly Father, "Father let this cup pass me, not by my will but but yours." And Jesus went to the cross and suffered and died for our sins. HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER 🙏🕊
