This subject comes up every year and this time my question is..... How is giving gifts to other people actually celebrating our savior? It isn't. It's celebrating the world and material things which absolutely goes against what the father says to do. I'm not perfect and fall short every day but things like this I feel as if the Holy Spirit has put into my heart that it shouldn't be celebrated. And so, I don't, But you can😊
December 25th was certainly a Pagan holiday. When the Pagan Roman Empire hijacked Christianity and mixed Christianity with their Pagan Roman/Babylonian religion they appointed December 25th as "Christmas Day" to control both the Pagans and the Christians in their Empire. Whilst December 25th is an ancient Pagan festival now disguised as Christian we can still say some good has come from it. Alot of people reflect on Christianity and the birth of The Messiah at this time of year. And the 3 Magi who visited young Jesus to pay their respects did bring gifts. This isn't the reason gifts are exchanged at Christmas today, it has all become commercialised. However is it really harmful to exchange gifts with loved ones this time of year? We know there's alot wrong with the commercialism relating to the birth of Jesus and he wasn't born in December. But Christians can reflect on the life of Jesus, and exchanging gifts is probably not evil. Jesus gave us the commandment to love each other, along with loving our father in heaven.
@@columkenn it's just like the end of my comment said, I don't celebrate, but you can😊 I feel as if we're all on our own walk with the Lord, and that's different from person to person. As far as the gifts go, it's a stretch? The wise men gave gifts TO Jesus, not to eachother and Mary and Joseph so that's what makes it different. Do I shame you or belittle you or call you out for celebrate a holiday that I personally believe to be "man made"? Not at all. Again, we're each on our own walk. God bless❤😊
@JoyinFlorida I agree. I have wrestled with the same thoughts. Didn't celebrate Christmas some years. Give gifts to my child these years. I feel God landed us in the current society we live in and it's not possible to live outside society entirely. And sometimes good does come out of evil. Christmas itself was originally a pagan day but certainly people across the world feel closer to God at this time of year
@@columkenn it's a tough one and as you know, for those of us who don't celebrate, we look like Jesus haters. God knows our hearts, it's as simple as thar. So if I don't celebrate because I don't believe it has anything to do with HIM, then atleast He knows why. And if you and others choose to celebrate, whether or not you even know about the origins, He knows your heart as well. I just hate when one side bashes another claiming to be 100% right. None of us are 100% right on anything😉
@columkenn the bible didn't state how many wise men there was, so how did you get 3? The bible says wise men came from the east, go and read again, a lot of people saying 3, because of the 3 different gift, but we don't even know how many of the wise gave gold, frankincense and myrrh. There wasn't a number specified.
This video is beautifully insightful! It offers a fresh perspective on the significance of Jesus' birth and challenges us to embrace the true spirit of Christmas. Thank you for sharing such a meaningful message!
Of course, the real birthday of Jesus is in September. The shep were outside eat grass. In Winter no shep want to eat the grass. Its not tasty. But how to change Jesus Birthday in September and not more Dec.25? All people will think we are crazy. 😉
King Jesus Christ never made a big deal regarding His own birth? One would think that He would celebrate with His own disciples? We should focus more as to why He was born! To save sinful man from themselves…..
September six months after John the Baptist his cousin middle september
I think it's sometime in September. The December date is a Pagan date.

When is Spring over in Bethlehem?

Only those that chose the pagan ways of the world as the Church did who started all this.
@DanHutchings-xx7ug Sure, but the church will never change the date of Jesus Birthday. 😏
That should tell us around the date that Jesus was born
