There's something in our water. We have sheep that drop 5 at a time! We just had another 4 drop today one set of triplets (all doing good) a new ewe had two (one a still birth) had one a week ago she dropped 4 (two still births and and two alive but one didn't make it). 3 weeks ago We had a set of twins. We try to leave the mom with the babies until she gets them licked off then bring them in the garage to dry off and warm up. within the hour we start taking them out to feed off mom. then every couple hours we do it again and again and again until it warms up outside. BY then they are healthy enough to cuddle with mom at night. We are basically married to these little farts for the next week or so lol

If you got the premier sheep/goat netting, it wouldn’t be as heavy as the poultry netting. That’s an unfair comparison.

What do you do with the ones that don’t make it?

How are your layers doing from Hoovers. Orpingtons are a great children friendly and adult friendly breed. Have any of your Orpingtons gone broody. Actually...all of the breeds that you and your daughters have selected are great breeds. I have heard many compliments about the Calico Princess breed. We are hopefully expecting our first litter on our homestead of kunekune pigs. Trying to learn what I can, nervous! We only have one boar and one sow so trying to separate them has been a hassle, we don't have hot wire fence so they keep breaking down whatever we put up haha
