What are you doing? Are you whacking? There's no whacking in baseball!!!
Moon around your anus
มุมมอง 14K17 ปีที่แล้ว
Jim Jaggers and Claudia Barr at Channel 13 in the late 80s. Jim tells Claudia of exciting news about the discovery of a new moon around Uranus. Of course, it sounds like "your anus". Everyone, Claudia, studio crew, booth crew, lost it. Jim barely makes it through then Claudia has to transition to bad news.
On Who??

A Memphis media classic. This couple was being arrested and charged with the aggravated rape of his daughter. Reporter Joan Droege interviewed the couple as they were being taken away. Notice the lady's upper teeth come flying out of her mouth.

Joe Rogan on Anna Nicole Smith bit
มุมมอง 489K17 ปีที่แล้ว
Joe Rogan between standup acts at a TV taping talks about Anna Nicole Smith. Funny NEW INFO Just thought I would add that this is a bit taped not for broadcast between stand-up acts. There have been a lot of comments about how long he goes on about the same thing. Rogan was only following the direction of the broadcast taping crew. He needed to fill till the next act, and the entire crew was re...
Absolutely love this song and until now never saw the actual group themselves. Thank you
Lip sync masters
I love this song 80d😢🎉😂❤😢😮😅😊🎉😂❤😮😅😊
That keyboard break is awesome!!!
I like how the chorus is so excellent
this was GOLD!!!!!!!!!
GREAT band….from New Zealand, no less!! NOT Aussies, like many think.
Where is that new town , where the people are nice 😢
I liked them way back when. This is the best version I have heard. And live too!
It's Joe Rogan doing the bit while pretending to be Eddie Murphy.
Look at what a hassle keyboard players had to go through in those days, having to haul four or five of these massive and heavy-duty monstrosities around just to get different sounds out of their instruments. And THEN have to carry them all the way to the USA from New Zealand on top of it. Nowadays, a feather light and tiny little thing the size of a note-pad can give you fifty thousand tones to choose from.
You think that system is big? Watch a video of ELP. Keith Emerson's rig is huge. Or Rick Wakeman's from Yes.
how do they only echo the word SHOUT
Great tune and something ominous and menacing about it.
So high level when no one else even had a clue
Great
One hit wonders in the US.
Excellent eyebrow work Neil.
So cool 😎
That face😁
This song was truly ahead of its time and i feel remains timeless
Screw the cowbell, we need more tambourine. 😅
He looks like country, western
he's not funny, but damn he's got a good point - in fact, can said aboit nearly every comic these days
Something clicks in my brain when i hear this- absolutely priceless song- cuckoo for this😂
This isn't just a pop song. iIt has sll of the hallmarks of a standard. It stands up beautifully 40 + years on. Thank you to Tim, The Finns for their entire catalouge of timeless misic. 💜
I saw Split Enz in about May 1982. They were magical.
Went on to become crowded house
Greatest bit ever!
Eddie Rayner is up there with Ray Manzerek from the Doors...Best keyboard players in pop/rocks eva
This is a perfect pop song. Along with Tempted by Squeeze. Two of the best pure pop songs of all time.
NEW RULES
I lived through that era & did love all of these great bands. The Finn Brothers are still brilliant & relevant. I'm amazed how prolific they are...& how they're still giving us insanely wonderful music. Growing up in Manhattan, radio was a bit more open to this wave,( & the Brits). These bands toured decent sized clubs here, & also in larger cities. There aren't enough superlatives for The Finns artistry I wish I could "rewind", (& be @ 4 years older so I cld hv enjoyed more of it). IFI could "go back", it would be with the knowledge of how priceless this era in pop culture was. I would know to savor much more of every happy moment that was privy too. I'd take nothing for granted & ( thru experience), know just how fast it goes ! So fast, it is scary At l re ast you hv YT etc.
Fridays was a really great show way back in the day.
Haven't heard this song in decades.
Spellbinding. Thank you.
I remember the 1st time I heard this in 1980. I was just 19 in my 69 Mach1 with my beautiful girlfriend and we just loved it. I even remember exactly where we were..lol love it and takes me back to a wonderful time in my life..
The best “80’s 50’s song” ever!
Indeed, and that's what makes it truly "New Wave"...rather than so-called " '80s music", which is how songs like this are incorrectly categorized, (...and, the reverse, e.g. 'Synth Pop', "New Romantic", "Post-Punk", etc. songs which are incorrectly considered "New Wave"..). A lot of New Wave artists were born in the mid-1950s, so their music was based upon 50s'/60s rock'n'roll, with injections of reggae, ska, synths, world music, often quirky lyrics with dry wit & irony, plus hyper-active energy. I have often said that if Buddy Holly had not died in that plan crash, this is the type of music he would have been making in 1978, as well as stuff like Squeeze, early Elvis Costello, D.L. Byron, The Specials, Men At Work, some of The Clash, the Cars' first, self-titled, album, early Joe Jackson, early Police, the Romantics, the B-52s, etc...and I would argue for including Talking Heads too.
@@derekbaker3279 Thanks for that. Great observations, deductions & insights. Perhaps the same could be said for much of the "80's style fashion"...???
Without Mick Ronson Bowies music just was not the same for me.
top singer love it still in 2023 going on 24
I’ll take two of the Neil Finns to go, please.
Excellent tune here. I liked the early "New Wave" bands a lot, but I never cared much for the early "New Wave Look" if you will, especially the short haircuts. As the "New Wave" bands grew their hair longer(in the back), I sported this look for years to come. I always appreciated sophisticated "New Wave" bands such as U2, The Cars, Scandal, Til' Tuesday, Simple Minds,Missing Persons, Berlin, and The Split-Enz........
Hard to believe this is live 1980. How did we go backwards in terms of talent in the music business?
Trying to look a little Rockabilly for the American audience? Hair lightened, teased and blow dried, matching pastel suits and string ties?. I prefer the original video.
Best part of the story, that old fuck ripped her off on the deal, she had nothing in writing & didn't get a damn penny and neither did one of his sons, what a jerk xD
Brilliantly- camp drama...
Gee, I really miss "The 80's" and "New Wave" music!!! 🤫
Does anybody remember the Crowded House member made fun of his ex band mate Tim in public, on tv. I'll never forget the look on Tim's face "I'm going to kill you bastard". Maybe it was some kind of prank, but the Crowded House member was calling him stuff like "homeless". It was so bizarre.
Sounds as good as the album! Nice!
phenomenal --- live
Great live version
