there is no logic in deviding the reboiler pressure by 10 to get the condenser pressure while you multiplied the feed pressure by 2 and not 5 to get the reboiler pressure

What if in the recycle stream you have one more component that is not there in the inlet stream? Please how will you get rid of it?
You have to make sure that the compositions of the incoming stream is the same with that of the original stream
i have ketene and acetic acid in inlet stream and it goes through furnace from 100 degree C to 700 degree C...can you please help me how to add furnace or steps?

The H2SO4 feed stream introduced the composition in mole fraction and should be in mass fraction....
Hi Collins, how can we find the flowrate of a existing pipeline with known parameters like pressure difference, temperature,... by using Aspen Hysys 11?
No you need the flowrate inorder for you to be able to size the pipeline

Lets say we have a steam header, from the header we have a 4" branch with some fittings to the process. How can we find the flow rate of steam that can be supplied to the process via that branch by using Hysys? Just want to compare with my manual calculation.
The header is originally designed to handle a particular flowrate and those branches are designed to carry a certain ratio of the total flow the header is designed to carry, a tee in Hysys can be used to model the branches of the header based on desired stream ratios from the header

Mostly, the problem should be from your specifications. Ensure that your specifications are reasonable with respect to the process.

5. Some of the coefficients are not specified, since some of the tabs are left blank. There are a number of ways to fix this. First the coefficients can either be looked up or experimentally determined, and then entered straight into the appropriate box. Or, HYSYS can estimate the unknown coefficients using equilibrium relationships. To do that select either “UNIFAC VLE” or “UNIFAC LLE” and then clicking on the tab “Unknowns Only”. In Liquid-Liquid Extraction processes, UNIFAC LLE is the appropriate estimation to use. Close the Binary Coefficient window, and enter the simulation environment.
