Whether you agree with this decision or not, it highlights the need for us to look to the Bible as the authoritative Word of God, instead of looking to the Church to dictate how things should be, because if you agree with these changes you are saying that the way the Church had previously done things wasn’t good, and if you disagree with these changes you are saying that the new way the Church has decided to do things is not good, either way the Church leadership should NOT be the authority on what is right or wrong because people mess up and fail, the Word of God does not.

As a Catholic that experienced the horrors of communism and socialism, I feel wary about talking about "Social Justice" and asking governments to help people... There is no difference both Catholics and Protestants both need Jesus perfect Sacrifice for salvation. What I think is the Catholics put emphasis upon the role of Pope, Priests, Nuns, but especially the Church’s role in Salvation. The Church is there for worship and teaching but only God can forgive sin so the Priest is another word for pastor but he can’t forgive any Sins.
