I can answer your questions, after the safety demonstration you can raise the partition so you don't need to look at the other person. Most of the seats require you to climb over the legs of the person ahead of you if you are in a window seat. There is one seat near the bulkhead where you don't have to do that. Yes, the flight attendant has to pass your food over the companion seat. Have a nice flight.

It's not important, no, but all these little touches add up to make an overall first class experience. Strip away all the little things and you have a seat, plate of food and that's all. I love being addressed by my name, but if you prefer otherwise then that's fine too 😊 The most important thing is that you enjoy the experience!

Maybe BA's seat is more soft and 'squishy' (which for me is more comfortable!), while Qatar's is more firm but still comfortable. As for width wise, Qatar definitely takes the win. Feels a lot wider (numbers wise it is 2 inches wider)

Fascinating to hear your experience about when this seat was first introduced. I can't imagine when it must have been like to fly in this when it first came out - the peak of luxury travel! Ah yes, the Queen of the Skies. With the storage bins running along the side, right? They were amazing! You wouldn't hear any more complaints about the storage with this seat had those storage bins been implemented fleet-wide. Wow, seats 64 A and K sound amazing - basically strips out every complaint about the seat (no climbing over your neighbour and the storage! It's great to hear you still enjoy flying in it today for your holidays and that, like me, enjoy the advantage of being able to sit next to your partner without being a whole suite away from them. And there's always the privacy divider if you've had enough! Haha. Thank you for sharing your experience 😁 Wonderful to read.

Wow, that's not a bad airline to have only had your business class experiences with! 🤩 Haha. I really want to try Emirates' business class some day! The A380 experience must have been incredible! Be prepared to lower your expectations when it comes to BA... they are great, don't get me wrong, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but they certainly lag behind the middle eastern airlines.
