      @@Mesmerize-Eyez89 keep your weight “in front” towards the front of your palms and stay stacked as much as possible even when you come out of the handstand. Keep your shoulders pushing, and your feet will be much lighter.

      @@EdLiuHandBalance thank you soo much. I will practice this...also I have been continuing to practice Drill #1 today at the gym and I barely touched the wall with my foot at least about 50% of my kickup attempts. • @srmangiapoco

    Very helpful. For me, the big takeaways are (1) being light and dynamic on your hands, (2) timing the weight shift with the push, and (3) when stepping up onto a block, swinging more weight sideways to compensate for the elevation. I have a tendency to get stuck and push futilely because I haven't shifted enough weight to the side. Can we do some of this on Thursdays at Warrior Bridge?

  • @tomalol9772
    @tomalol9772 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey Ed, I noticed when I weight shift on my right side my right leg goes down towards the palm side of my body, bringing my feet of alignment with each other. However this doesn't happen on my left, do you have any idea why this might be happening and how I can go about correcting it?

    • @EdLiuHandBalance
      @EdLiuHandBalance หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tomalol9772 sounds like your right leg is dropping with additional leg/hips rotation during the weight shift. To correct this, lift your legs much higher in the beginning on two arms and don’t allow for them to pike throughout. Lean even more forward than you’re comfortable with, you want to feel your weight shifting as lateral as possible, and maybe even more to the front just to compensate.

    Thanks for the video Ed. Would like to ask whether it is normal if my legs are not at the same angle or level when I spread my legs in straddle? Or is that something to do with my hips? (Eg., tight hips / hamstring). Thanks!

    • @EdLiuHandBalance
      @EdLiuHandBalance หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, hip flexibility matters quite a lot in the straddle. If you're only able to open your legs to a narrow "V" shape before your legs pike and drop, then doing the pancake stretches will be very beneficial. Also, check to see if your hips are collapsed forward (sticking butt out too much) or are they actively engaged and stacked the middle, how it should be.

Thanks bro❤ Please insert coin and continue😁🤙🏻
