Never seen anyone go through a pickup switch during the solo like Mossy. I sat in a camera pit right in front of Moss at the Decades Festival here in Brisbane several years ago and he did that all night. During Bow River he switched between every position, constantly back and forth. Sometimes it seemed like a half bar and onto another pickup. He definitely knew what he was going for. He blazed right in my face for about two and half hours..

Bet Ian regrets selling that Strat. Sounds incredible..

This is my 2nd favourite Chisel song, after ‘You Got Nothing I Want’. Mossy’s vocals are so smooth and wonderful to listen to... Than after a great lead break, it’s Jimmy’s turn, where he delivers his most emotionally driven lyric performance... Until the final lyrics of ‘Letter To Alan’ that is. I’ve often wondered why this was omitted from the ‘Seeing Is Believing’ VHS and the original release of the ‘Vision’ DVD... Because this really is a great clip and great song! i saw them in 1976 when they played my highschool ,they supported dragon.all i could remember was them playing cant get enough and midnight rambler,but i was hooked. saw them years later on the east tour.what great days.never to be repeated.i pity todays kids listening to their version of crap called music

did they do any more songs on this show? Daskarzine seems to be the only other. This is the Chisel I used to go and see in Adelaide in the late 70's .....anyone who saw them in this period will testify as to how mesmerising they were....we were all spellbound and totally in awe of Ian Moss...but what really came across was the chemistry on stage......all craftsmen at the peak of their powers......saw then recently in Hyde Park London and it almost brought tears to my eyes.....the members are older, Steve Prestwich gone.....all fellow aussies in the audience singing along to Khe Sanh.....I think that song will stay with me until the grave.....remember seeing them play it as a "new song" before they were famous......anyone else out there?

I think that this was recorded in the ABC studios...anyone?

Gpd why wait 35 years before releasing this?? This is how I remember Chisel.....before the rest of Australia discovered them....they really were a world class act around this time. I can remember watching them so many times and every time the audience were completely spellbound....really....no one moving...everyone staring slackjawed at just how tight and aggressive they were not forgetting the lyrics....so deep and ahead of the times...ACDC wer their only real competition at the time.Thankyou!

I taped rage last Saturday for this 1978 Chisel special LIVE AT THE 2JJ STUDIO, ROCK ARENA and didn't get the end and most important part the Chisel part, can anyone tell me if they watched it and has the footage been shown before on t.v since August 27th1978? is it on TH-cam now? or can someone please upload it please? cheers Gezza
